This campground was cute and well-appointed, but it was also cramped and quite loud. We expected the noise from the train as well as traffic on I-40. What we didn't expect was the loud sounds of the gravel inside the park (even just people walking on it) as well as the nearby excavation site. The park is in the industrial part of town and just down the road from the fairgrounds. The pull-thru sites are quite level, but are very close together and rather short. One neighbor had to park their truck extremely close to our slide and the other neighbor's vehicle was right by our picnic table. The park does offer some great amenities including hot waffles and cereal in the clubhouse for breakfast. We also enjoyed the free pet wash (aka pet spa)! The fitness center and clubhouse are impressive and the laundry, though small, offered some of the lowest prices we have seen yet ($1.00 to wash; .$.50 to dry). The wifi was almost unusable, but Verizon and AT&T signals were strong.

My husband was planning to travel out of state for work while we were in the Albuquerque area so I would be staying alone for two weeks. I was happy to find a place outside the city, but still convenient to shopping. This park is the most expensive we have stayed at so far, but we ended up with one of the best sites in the park. We were at the end of a row, with a shaded area above a round concrete table with a beautiful view of the Sandia Mountains. In all, we had a great experience at this park and the staff were very kind and welcoming. The park is small and therefore a little crowded. There are only two pet-friendly areas in the park and they are two adjacent fenced-in, sandy areas. With a busy park full of small dogs, it was difficult to find an opportunity to take my two larger dogs to the parks - we often had to take some walks around the paved roads to wait our turn. We did not use any of the facilities, but there is a very small laundry room, showers, fitness room, outdoor pool, and indoor hot tub.

We booked this KOA as an overnight stop along I-95. Our pull-through site was level enough that we did not have to unhitch our truck, but we would have had just enough space if we had done so. The sites were close together; if we had neighbors, their hook-ups would have been right at our picnic table. There were two fenced Kamp K9 areas which is great for a RV park of this size. We did not use any of the facilities but we were given codes for the bathrooms, showers, and laundry. Though the Interstate is clearly visible, the noise wasn't too bad. Cell signals for both AT&T and Verizon were strong as well as the park's wifi. There are a few nice patio sites, but we would only justify paying for those if we were planning to stay for a longer period of time. We would stay here again.

We loved the privacy and quiet of this park! The campground is a long drive off of the highway (watch for cows!), but the roads are in good shape. The ranger station was not open at the specified check-in time, but we had reserved and paid online so we proceeded to our spot (it was never open when entering at other times, but there are self-pay stations at the park entrance and at the campground). The campground host did come around and let us know about the freeze warning in effect. Our back-in site was level with a covered picnic table area. As other reviewers have noted, the bathrooms weren't great so we didn't use them - opting instead to use and dump our portable tank. Our dogs enjoyed walks along the trail right outside our campsite. There is quite a bit of wind at times as well as some not-so-great smells from the oilfield across the lake, but it isn't bad at all. We will definitely be back when we are in the Carlsbad area. Be prepared to travel at least 15 minutes to the closest gas station and about 20-25 minutes for groceries. Verizon and AT&T were not very strong, but we were able to use for remote work.

This is a great state park! The rate is high for partial hook-ups, but the location, views, and privacy between sites is worth it. We were in site 19 and had a large "yard" with an excellent view of the Superstition Mountains. The restrooms were clean and the private showers appeared to be clean though we did not use them. There is lots of wildlife in the park (we saw many cotton-tail rabbits and jack rabbits, lizards, quail, and a javelina) as well as cacti. There are some excellent hikes and trails, but the no-see-ums were horrible and unfortunately limited our outdoor activities. Groceries are available just 5 miles away in Apache Junction (and even more options are available in nearby Mesa).

We stayed at Indian Waters the entire month of September when most RVers have the sense to avoid the extreme heat of the Coachella Valley. Because it was off-season, the landscaping around many of the grass lots was not maintained, and it seemed a little depressing at first, but we enjoyed the quiet (and low price). The fitness center is well-appointed and we enjoyed cooling off in the two excellently-maintained pools. The park is gated, but you are in a nice neighborhood close to shopping. The in-town noise is not excessive, but be prepared to hear sirens from the nearby police and fire departments. We were in a concrete pull-through with gravel - there was no patio or picnic table. Note that the sewer hook-ups at are the rear of pull-through sites (we had to purchase another hose even those we already had three).

Our stay in Catalina State Park was just such a great experience. The location is perfect - you are in a quiet state park with a view of the mountains, but there is shopping literally across the road from the park's entrance. The restrooms were kept clean and the tiled showers were clean and hot. We enjoyed a large "yard" as well as having a private path to the restrooms/showers just behind our site. We even had wifi! We were told that the wifi was only available in Campground B, but we were able to access it in Campground A. The campground hosts were lovely and made sure to let us know about the concert and star party on the day of our arrival. This is such a friendly, beautiful place and we will definitely be back.

We loved our site at Letchworth State Park, but not are created equal. I would highly recommend using campadk.com to help pick out your site since they have more pics of ALL sites than what is available on the park's reservation page. The only negative about our loop was the older bathhouses (showers were small with curtains only), but we walked over to the 700 loop to use the newer bathhouse with private restrooms/showers (we did go at off-peak times as a courtesy to those campers staying there). There is also a nice campground store with firewood, food, and other camping necessities. We also used the adjacent laundry room with coin-operated washers and dryers as well as a change machine. Cell coverage for Verizon was surprisingly stable even unboosted for remote work and streaming; AT&T signal was inconsistent throughout the week.

Note about approach: Make sure that you don't enter the state park from the more southern entrances (Portageville or Castile) -- unless you are fine towing on tight curves and steep hills. We used the Perry entrance which fine, but we did have to travel through some neighborhoods as there is no straight shot to the state park from the highway. If possible, I would also recommend entering at Mt. Morris and driving the 6 miles to the campground entrance since it is relatively smooth sailing.

This is a great option for camping in the Niagara Falls area, but there are definitely some negatives...

Most of the areas in this campground are very open -- which means it can be very busy especially on the weekends. Though it wasn't as loud as you might expect, there were people frequently walking through our site and behind our site on the way to the bathhouses or between other sites. If you want more privacy, make sure you pick a site that backs along a treeline (I recommend using campadk.com to see pics of ALL sites; they provide more views than what is available on the park's reservation page).

Be aware that you will get bugs in pretty much everything you leave outside. We have been gone from the park for more than a week and are still finding earwigs both inside and outside our trailer! Cell signal (even when boosted) was pretty much nonexistent for AT&T, but we were able to work remotely and stream on Verizon. The showers were fairly clean; there was a washer and dryer at the bathhouse though we didn't use it.

Now for the positives: The sites are fairly wide and a few are shaded. Watching the sunset from inside the campground was amazing! There isn't an official beach, but there is a nice grassy hill from which people can gather to watch the sunset and, on a clear day, see the Toronto skyline. Your camping pass will also give you free parking at the local state parks including Niagara Falls (we just buzzed to tell the attendant that we were camping at Four Mile Creek and they let us in the parking lot). Fort Niagara is about 2 miles up the road and is definitely worth a visit as well.

Though we did have an ok experience, we would probably seek a different option when we are back in the area.

This is a terrific place to camp along the shores of Lake Ontario. There is no beach access from the campground, but one can easily walk to the lake. We stayed in a "pet loop" and had the place almost to ourselves during the week. We highly recommend using the website CampADK.com to view more and often better pics of all sites that what is available on the official reservation website) to find sites with more privacy.

Sites are 30/20 amp only, but the bathhouses were kept clean and there was fresh water nearby. Dump station is farther back in the campground so most campers will have to backtrack in order to dump on the way out of the park.Verizon signal was strong and consistent for working and streaming; AT&T was very poor -- even when boosted. Few OTA channels.

There are only a few small towns with small stores nearby so make sure you are stocked before visiting. Also, be careful if approaching on the Lake Ontario State Pkwy from Rochester due to several 11' clearances though it isn't too difficult to route around on side streets.
