The campground was full until we asked for dry camping which I think they hold for tent campers. This area is closest to river, quiet and darker given hillside you back up to. These sites are 30’ or less and not all level, so maybe look first.

Lots of mountain bike trails accessible fr park, pool, laundry w 4 washers/dryers. Campground attracts many families w kids. Our noise rating based on this dry camping area.

Cell and WI-FI fine higher up in populated camp areas and reception.

Resort has two grassy relatively flat CG areas. We would have preferred Upper Meadows to be bit more away. Plus Meadows area was close to horse corral so some flies. We reserved but noted some who just came in. Site maps are on their web site. https://www.grandtarghee.com/vacation-planning/lodging/camping-rv-parking/

We loved taking lift to summit to hike around then hike down gradually 3.5 mi. Many families stay here to mtn bike.
While website says no water, toilets or electrical, there was potable water and Porta-potty‘s.

Check site Events to note possible congestion. The weekend we left was a Revel/RV rally.

We could only get Verizon cell and Wi-Fi among the primary resort buildings, not at the campground. Enjoyed eating outside at resort with their restaurant carry-out food. Masks worn in core resort property and on lifts.

This area is right at bend in the road, bit higher off from road, but it is quiet at night as minimal traffic. East side of hwy. Great long vista plus an area up in the aspens for sitting in shade. Could handle 2-3 rigs. There are many dispersed camp sites along this road, mostly in the trees with no cell. We stayed here as hunters occupied the dispersed sites.

So many possibilities for dispersed camping in this area - a number are along creeks, wooded or sunny, take your pick - easy to find. This Copper Basin area is beautiful and remote.

We hiked up to Bella’s Lake (about 7 mi round trip), took ATV’s to get to TH for Green Lake.

Easier way in to area from Mackey, ID is 93 north to Trail Cr Rd west to 135 south to 138. Took 1.5 hrs. Decent hard packed roads, little washboard. Antelope Creek is harder on RVs.

Lovely up to date park on beautiful lake. If staying longer, would have explored more by foot and bike.

Worth the 8 mi paved road off Trans CA Hwy 1. Most sites well shaded. They vary in size, but mostly ample. Families use park for water activities with nice 2 swim beaches. Flush toilets w sinks. Hot showers included. We left on Th and noted cg full on weekend.

Park keeps you away from busy Salmon Arm which is across the lake.

Rate is for one person, then 3.63 per additional person per night.

Good location for walking to Cody Cattle Co for dinner, country music - later a 10 min walk to rodeo grounds. Just need to take care crossing highway. Terrific package!

Bathrooms really need updating. Sites quite small but grassy. Old wood picnic tables. Some shading w trees.

Very tree’d cg, no bugs mid-Aug. Walked trail to beach along lake, then to boat ramp - about 2.5 mi total. Number of families enjoying the swim beach along with kayaks, paddle boards. Fellow was fishing for Kokanee salmon. Some power boats but not many. FLUSH toilets! Deep fire rings. No sites overlook lake. Paved road into and in park. Recycling of beverage containers.

Ocean view sites are fully booked in 2021. We paid $50 also for site in trees first night. Has a homey feel overall. Picnic tables are small seating 4. Restrooms are immaculate! Easy path to beach. Sites close to road have noise.
