Very tree’d cg, no bugs mid-Aug. Walked trail to beach along lake, then to boat ramp - about 2.5 mi total. Number of families enjoying the swim beach along with kayaks, paddle boards. Fellow was fishing for Kokanee salmon. Some power boats but not many. FLUSH toilets! Deep fire rings. No sites overlook lake. Paved road into and in park. Recycling of beverage containers.

We were pleasantly surprised with the lushness and the privacy that this provincial campground provides. The sites are widely separated with dense forest separating each. While some sites are a bit nicer than others there really isn't a bad site in the campground!
This is dry camping; no services at the sites. There are several pit toilets that have been upgraded to plumbed flush toilets but no sinks or showers. There is a nice Sani-dump at the entrance.
Absolutely no cell service! We were able to get some coverage at the Purden Ski Hill road right off Highway 16.

There are two loops to this campground. One loop is all first come first serve numbers 2-38. The other loop is reservation only. Very nice sites, very forested doubt you could get any Starlink at any of the sites. We were not able to get any at our site. Our site would be nice for someone with children as the playground was right down the street and it looked very nice.
We arrived on a Wednesday and there were many sites available on both sides, but come Thursday night by 4 o’clock the campground was filled. Therefore, you probably could find a first come first serve site Sunday through Wednesday if you got there early enough, but the weekend might be difficult.
The beach area is really nice and the dog beach is terrific. There is a Lake walk between the day use and the boat launch ramp, approximately half mile in length. There’s a nice area to launch your kayaks or paddleboard’s from, and some people had theirs locked up by the boat ramp. There were three wooden piers aside the boat launch. The lake is huge with lots of places to paddle. Fishermen were catching Kokanee fish in great numbers. Two fisherman gave us two nice size fish, which we cooked up for dinner.
Lots of pit toilets, recycling, and water spigots throughout the campground.
If you make reservations, you do have to pay the reservation fee which is six dollars a night up to three nights and then after that there is no charge.
The only negative to this campground that we found was that there wasn’t very much hiking in the area. That and no cell service available.
