“located along beautiful central Oregon coastline”

Sea & Sand RV Park is conveniently located on Highway 101 just three miles north of Depoe Bay on the central Oregon coastline and eight miles south of Lincoln City. There are spectacular beach and ocean views from our terraced ocean RV sites, as well as beautiful and cozy forested campground sites, all with easy beach access. The sunsets in the summers and the storms in the winters offer wonderful memories to all our guests, and their pets.  Activities are numerous for all ages. The seven mile sandy beach provides a sand box of agates, shells, and sometimes Japanese floats. Sightings of the migrating grey whales are almost a daily happening in Depoe Bay, and there are charter fleets at Depoe Bay and Newport for deep sea fishing, crabbing and whale watching. Also, fresh water fishing, including steelhead, salmon, and trout are in the local rivers and streams. One mile away is the beautiful resort of Salishan providing an 18 hole golf course and excellent shopping. If you like aquariums, lighthouses, factory outlets, good restaurants, casino gaming, and breathtaking views of the ocean you will find it all between Newport and Lincoln City.

They don’t allow pit bulls or pit bull mixes. That is absolutely ridiculous. Pet racism.

This park is right off HWY101. Upon entry is a very nice view of the center of the park and a few speed bumps you have to really slow down for. Upon check in at the office 2 very nice lady’s where working where one greeted me and checked me in and gave me a bag of salt water taffy as a newcomer to the park along with papers of the park rules and TV cable channel listings and more. We had made previous reservations but the first 3 days we could not make it to the park, so the lady asked if we would like to start our weeks stay that day… “sure I said”. That was very unexpected and gracious of them!

The area we stayed in was in the tree area and park rules said you could have wood camp fires. After we backed into of space #67 that was very easy because of the road in front of our space to the left. The site was gravel and almost level but sort of small in width and length but enough for our 21’ trailer and pickup. There was a 5” high concrete fire ring and a picnic table to the right of our space but that was all the room we had and no shrubs’ or anything between sites. It also had water and cable TV hook up along with a sewer that required a screw on sewer connection that in some sites were 25 plus feet from the rear of the site. The sites next to each side of us were very close about 3 feet apart. There were two parking areas for extra rigs. One was it the upper tree area and the other was just above the ocean site area as most of the sites in this area were only large enough for the RV and the toad or pull vehicle where as in the upper tree area there were many pull thru sites large enough for both rigs. The park was very-very clean and well kept. The both bathrooms were spotless and the upper bathroom had 3 showers with plastic curtains for .50 cents for 5 minutes time with really nice hot water. The lower bathroom toward the ocean was newer and the wife said the showers there had doors for privacy and were a lot nicer inside.
The upper park area had a laundry room attached to the bathroom. To wash was $1.50 and to dry was .50 for 5 minutes time and had a large folding area. All the outside staff were very friendly and caring about their jobs.

There was a path about half way down the park on the left side that went to the beach area access which we took and walked on the beach during low tide, but during high tide there is no beach access. The lower ocean site area has 3 levels that over looked the ocean. Very nice and more costly. At the 3rd lowest ocean site area there was a set of stairs that also went down to the beach area access. Park rules say the upper ocean site area could not have any wood fires and could only use propane fires with the exception of on the beach.

The 4 rating was because of the closeness of the camp sites and the $26 nightly cost is because of camping off season. This RV park is a wonderful place to say at!

Sea & Sand RV sits adjacent to the Bella Beach development that we've enjoyed staying at for many years. It's perfectly situated between Depoe Bay and Lincoln City. We would have given them 5 Stars if we had more privacy between neighbors. The front row is a gravel lot with enough room for a trailer/RV and vehicle parked next to it. We tend to prefer more privacy like we can find at the Oregon State Parks but we will be coming back to Sea & Sand again for sure. Site #88 however looked fantastic so it will be top on our list for the next visit.

During this visit we were delighted with the constant stream of whales parading just offshore. We saw more tails, flips and spouts than we had ever on a visit to the Oregon Coast.

This was our second time staying at Sea & Sand (first time was Oct 2014). We got one of the very last sites available for the summer as we had to make somewhat last minute plans - so this time we were not down lower with the ocean view, we were up in the forest area. We kind of expected not to like it that much without the ocean view... however, we all (the kids included) absolutely loved it. It was woodsy and relaxing, and still a short walk down to the beach anytime we wanted.

This park is located in a very convenient area to visiting Depoe Bay, Newport, and many ocean-side locations.

The staff is always very helpful here.

We had a campfire ring at our site and loved enjoying that every day.

Shower facilities are either coin operated or push button operated, so not the most fun... but they are very clean.

We have great cell signal there except for a weird dead zone on the beach itself.

Be sure to ask which way sites face if you are going to have an ocean view. Some you will back into and your front side will face the ocean, some you will back into and your back side will face the ocean.... and some you will back into and be side-facing! .... since we all have windows in different places in our rigs, this is a good thing to think about when planning which site to choose.

We've spent two different weeks at this park now and still can't wait to go back. The kids (11 & 14) didn't want to leave.

When we first arrived, I really liked the place, but as we made it to day 2, 3, we were not as impressed. The stars that they did receive are for the location to the beach, the walking path to the beach and the pull through spots. I gave this place 3 stars, my husband said 4, we can't do 3.5 so I rounded down this time.

On to the negatives:

1. We did laundry at their laundry room and one of the dryers burned and melted my socks. I told the office and all I got was a chuckle and they gave me some quarters back for the money I had put in the dryer. It is a quarter for 5 minutes and they are terrible dryers. I put $3 in and my laundry was still damp. So your dryer ruined some of my belongs and it's eh, whatever. At least it was just socks.
2. They do not monitor their 10p.m. quiet hour. Of course some of this is bad parenting, but we had kids running through our site, around and under our RV without anyone to tell them to stop. We finally had to open our door and say something and when we opened our door they were right at our door. For such a large park I would think they should do a 10 p.m. security round, it's not the best being the one to ask someone to be quiet.
3. In the woods area there isn't much room to put your truck near your rig, there are other lots, but depending on where you are, you aren't close. When people would leave the surrounding people would have to move trucks, picnic tables, etc.
4. The spots are really close together; and
5. The internet is so so.

If we were in spot 88, maybe the experience would have been different? If you do expect to be in the area and are reserving up to a year in advance, take this spot. The ocean spots were in a good spot, but again so close together.

But hey, I guess at least it was only $35/night in August, but there isn't a lot that is very close. Unfortunately, I don't think I would stay here again.

The RV site on the beach was one of my favorites. I got a spot on the top row and watched gray whales migrating all day. The beach site prices are a little pricey and the staff is very knit picky about everything...so you just have to ignore them.

Sea and sand was a very cute little campground. Lots of beach front spots and easy access to the beach. Everything was very clean and the campground well maintained. We had a beautiful sunset at the beach with the dogs running happily off leash. Highly would recommend this campground. When we checked it we received a bag of Salt Water taffy. A mall gesture that just made me happy and smile. Good overall feeling about the service and customer care. I also watched a young man help this older lady next to us set up her camp and went back to the office to get a cable connection for her since she didn’t have one! Just so sweet!

We started coming to this area to see the kite festival that is held in Lincoln City twice a year, but now we come to fly kites on the beach at the RV park and we enjoy the peace and quiet. If you want to make a fire on the beach, there's that option too. We opt for an ocean view site when we stay, which requires planning well in advance for the summer months. Not all of the ocean view sites accommodate our 30' travel trailer, so be sure to read the directions on the website and choose your RV type and length when searching availability. We stayed in October this time, but prefer June when there is more whale watching and better weather. From the ocean view sites it is an easy walk to the beach, and I've seen a trail that leads to the beach from the forest sites too. Our neighbors are somewhat close but have always been quiet. There is definitely ocean noise in the ocean view sites, but we like that so gave it 5 stars. You might opt for a forest site if you want it super quiet at night. We park our tow vehicle up in the overflow parking, which requires a short uphill walk if you want to leave the park to go anywhere. Not a big inconvenience. The office staff has always been pleasant and they were also accommodating once when I needed to ship a package there ahead of our arrival.

Ocean view sites are fully booked in 2021. We paid $50 also for site in trees first night. Has a homey feel overall. Picnic tables are small seating 4. Restrooms are immaculate! Easy path to beach. Sites close to road have noise.
