We only stopped one night on this trip but we have stayed here 3 times before. It’s so close to tobermory, really well organized and run. Showers and toilets are clean, sites are tidy and private if not necessarily the biggest
Would happily return

Masses of sites, all well serviced and easy to back into. Good kids play areas, shop etc
The showers are a bit outdated and are $1 for 5 mins.
Very handy for an overnighter on the trans Canada.

The perfect campground.
Spacious sites, easy pull throughs, full hookups, decent privacy, BRAND NEW SHOWERS AND TOILET BLOCKS, fire pits, FREE FIREWOOD, epic views, families of Elk grazing in the campground, easy check in process, handy for town. I could go on.
This is easily the best campground I have been to in 10 years.
Just perfection.

The drive in to this park is super sketchy, a hardcore industrial estate, but the actual site is right on the river bank and actually feels strangely secluded.
The sites were ok; power and water, but absolutely no privacy. The washrooms were quite a walk from our site, but did have free piping hot showers.
No park for the kids. Fine for a couple of nights at most really.

All the facilities you would expect from a KOA, but it was right off the highway and really not much atmosphere.
Everything was clean and functional.

We stopped for one night on the trans Canada, and this site was fine I guess. The facilities were clean and well maintained, but there is zero privacy and you are right next to the main road in a pretty developed part of town.
We upped and left pretty early in the morning.

This is an older site in and among the trees which was a very nice setting. The site was gravel, level and easy to get in and out. The bathrooms were clean and tidy, and hot showers
There are quite a few old trailers being stored there which detracted from the appeal a bit, long with the sounds from the gun range in the morning!
Lovely people at check in and the location was great for the Malahat skywalk and only 30 mins or so from Victoria.

We couldn’t get the exact dates we wanted online, so we kinda winged it and when checking in they sorted us out (we are off season).
We did end up in the trailer court which is elec only on asphalt space with a simple park bench.
The showers were warm and free.
None of that matters because if you are hanging out at your trailer in Banff you are wasting the opportunity. It’s all about the town and park, and you just crash back in your trailer at night.

The staff were lovely and the campground was very clean, but boy are you jammed in tight. Zero privacy, with lots of seasonal campers, there’s no real traveller vibe.
Morro bay itself was lovely though.
