“near the Sandia Mountains!”

Located directly off I-40, the Albuquerque KOA combines easy freeway access and a major metropolitan area. Mountain views make KOA ideal for an overnight stay or extended vacation. Most sites are long pull thrus, making it easy to keep vehicles and trailers attached. The campground is near world-class museums, shopping, dining, a zoo with an aquarium and more. In October, witness hundreds of hot-air balloons filling the sky during the International Balloon Fiesta. Explore Southwest treasures, such as 17th-century Spanish churches and the Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge. At the campground, enjoy the heated pool and hot tub, Camping Cabins, fully furnished Deluxe Cabins and free Wi-Fi. All Cabins have cable TV and refrigerators. Shop the campground store for supplies or the gift shop for souvenirs. Pool: May 15 - October 15. Max pull thru: 75 feet.

Very Nice Large and well maintained KOA. I prefer KOAs because they are usually very nice parks, kept clean, well stocked stores, and nice security and facilities. If there is a KOA in the area I am visiting, you can count on the fact that is where I will be. This one exemplifies all that is KOA.

Easy to get to and find. Gated with night gate guard. Sites/roads all paved. Sites are adequate for a tree, picnic table and a fire pit. No problems with leveling or hook-ups. Wifi seems adequate but my Verizon Hotspot is faster. Really nice puppy parks; children playground; putt-putt golf. Hot tup (open), pool (closed - boo). Cable channels but mine was "fuzzy" so just used OTA HD channels. There are a number of restaurants near by. Really the only con is the price but then I guess you are paying for a secure, gated community with all the amenities.

Was a friendly and homely place to stay and got a complementary cabin upgrade. It was our first time in Albuquerque and we had a great time. Do not go to the Family Dollar down the road though.

Laundry (no coin machine), nice folks working and camping, right up next to suburban homes and the freeway. Close to ABQ.

We stayed here outbound and inbound. Pleasant park with good amenities. I love the metal art in front. The staff was very friendly. We would stay here again.

Don’t come without 3 extensions for pumping out. Pump outs are inconvenient and set up horrible!

Nice large KOA with gate for security at night. Right off I-40 with some road noise. Downside is no grass for the dog. However, they do have 3 dog friendly campsites with fenced area for your pets. Paved level spots with picnic table, close to your neighbor. Did not use playground or pool area. Kinda pricey for what you get. Paid $74. full hookup pull thru

Pool, playground, mini golf, pedal bikes (so basically all recreational activities) are closed apparently, and the staff said it was due to governors orders, however this county is under yellow restrictions and the yellow category allows for outdoor recreation at 33% capacity.. So basically, they just don’t want to let guests use their facilities without updating the website to note these closures. I mean closing the playground?? Really? We actually chose this KOA over other RV parks because of the amenities for our young children, but if you’re not allowed to use them (the KOA’s choice!) they should alert potential guests to that fact before they spend money with them. This is not listed anywhere on their site. Very disappointing.
