We stayed in mid September and the park was about 1/3 full which gave us great privacy. Most sites have a great and uninterrupted view of the mountains and many by the little creek. Our site was level and backed onto the creek and was just perfect..and no annoying night lights as the sky is amazing.
Make sure you get a spot away from the road..not very busy but there are better sites.
Great and friendly check in and REALLY well maintained.
The rv camp in town was certainly more convenient but huge and reviews said that it was super busy and cramped but, mid September it was pretty empty and if you could get a spot on the lake would be great!

Super convenient for Whitefish and Kalispell. A little hard to find the well maintained access road to the super quiet, well maintained and managed park. From our site we had a meadow and mountain view. Part of the park is open and half in the trees. There are TWO fully fenced dog parks in the treed area. Good laundry and showers, very clean. No downside camping mid September! Thoroughly recommend. AND no darned overhead lights (personal peeve) so you can see the night sky.

The campground is really an extra..the main deal is the cabins and the airstreams.
The whole high end endeavor is oddly located in an area of cowboy bars and ranches. The bathrooms and showers and pool would not be out of place in a 5 star hotel.
Having a food truck for dinners and breakfast is inspired as the local eateries are not. The outdoor eating/lounging/library area is gorgeous too.
This is apparently the second year of operation and they seem to have all the bases covered..meals to go, wine and cocktails, high end everything. Gorgeous pool and vast hot tub.
Oddly, for a big night sky place they have a neon VACANCY sign that shines right into the camp sight and is on all night (hint, there is an off switch right by it!!)
The staff are plentiful, young and delightful. It is a shame that the first thing you see when you drive in is the unsightly staff housing.
Good wifi even a long way out.

Small campground very close to the river and just across from the adorable town.
Exceptional, caring hosts who did everything they could to make our stay perfect. The sites are well maintained, maybe a bit close together, but the location, brand new bathrooms and laundry make it a super good place to stay. Highly recommend it!

This is a HUGE park nestled in the mountains a short distance from downtown. We arrived just after Labor Day and it was busy, a few noisy groups but really convenient for downtown (3 Japanese restaurants!!!) and sightseeing. There are sites close to the road with amazing views (row 1) but they go very quickly each year. Easy check in and out. Inly grip is that this is in big sky country and the park has overhead lights every few spaces that are i possible to get away from..a real shame. The weekend after, the park really emptied out and (apart from the lights) was perfect.

This site and the neighboring Trailer Park are within a fairly strenuous up and down hill walk to Banff but with good bus service.
The HUGE parks are well laid out, with many (specially those by the road) having amazing views..most with a ‘peak’ of the mountains.
Location location location is the plus here. Close to the highway for all the exploring.
Weekends are really busy and its a toss up as to whether you have quiet neighbors of not.
Restrooms are just ok.
The big downside is the HUGE overhead lights that are everywhere..it feels like being in a Walmart parking lot after dark. Not ideal to view what must be incredible night skies.
Our site (23 foot mh) was fairly level.
Wonderful dog walking and hikes right from the site and hoodoo viewing really close!

We pulled in to the small parking area and checked in with a disorganized and un interested staff who directed us to a site at the back of the park. Eventually realized that we were right and had in fact booked a ‘premium’ site overlooking the lake. Most of the other sites were permanent residents and our ‘view’ of the lake was minor, noisy, really difficult to level etc. etc.
All in all, avoid this place.

Spacious sites..check
Level..check
Privacy..check
Great 200 degree views..check
Sunset..check
Sunrise..check
Incredible..THE best..bathrooms..check
Zero overhead lights ..a huge plus after too many rv parks that are lit up like shopping malls

The staff had listened when I booked and asked for quiet and privacy..not Always the case and we were right on the edge..hugely well spaced and with an uninterrupted view of the valley and mountains behind and nobody parked behind us. The level, back in, gravel site was big enough for our rv and vehicle and extremely private.
The downside is that is can be very windy..careful use of awnings.
For a large park it is really, really quiet..no generators or music.
Spacious, clean and fully fenced dog park but there is a walking path with awesome views and lots of meadows also.
Each site has a huge poured concrete ‘patio” with a metal table and chairs..a really nice touch.
Definitely a well run and organized place.

** being in the outer edges the wifi was marginal.

Built as an rv and park model resort with lots of thought.
Large, level sites non gravel with high end metal picnic tables. Water hoses wrapped for frost (a first!). Lots of space between sites. VERY quiet for the size. Huge, fully fenced, immaculate dog park.Efficient but rather unprofessional check in.
HUGE and immaculate showers and bathrooms. Really nice.
The whole place immaculate.
Easy access from freeway, some mountain views.

The plus and minus of this park is the location.
It is basically urban..right in the middle of town..but that also is its biggest plus..convenient to everything and a few miles from Mesa Verde.
The owners do a great job of keeping it immaculate and the gravel sites are well leveled and have a picnic table.
There are trees but not really dividing the sites, but it is still a fairly unattractive urban park.
There are also a lot of permanent campers.
The dog park is a joke. Unenclosed bit of dirt.
The back sites abut a road and are noisy. The middle sites are close together.
