Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on July 23, 2022This is a beautiful campground only minutes from downtown Banff and inside of Banff National Park. The sites are all pull thru, level with 30amp water and sewer. There's plenty of privacy and shade and amazing views of the nearby mountains. The bathrooms were fairly clean. I didn't use the showers but they looked fine.
There were 2 OTA channels. No wifi but Rogers, Bell and Telus had strong voice service. Telus and Bell had 4g LTE with 10+ d/l speeds unboosted.
Lots of great activities in Banff and dogs are allowed on all trails which is quite different than most US National Parks. There is tons of shopping and restaurants in Banff.
Hiking and biking trails are directly off the campground.

Stayed here 2 nights in late august, 2017. This place is huge. Over 600 sites. Most are pull off sites along very long straight roads. Great place to ride bikes. Bike trails everywhere. There is even a bike trail along Canada 1. Great Interpretive guide presentations. We made our reservations months ahead. A Canada park pass necessary. Also purchased months ahead.
The name of the campground is trailer park, a little confusing to Americans. The sign also says Village II. Not to be confused with Village I which is next door. None of which showed up on GPS. We did eventually find the place and it was great.

The signage in town was great and we drove right to it as it is around the back side of town. This place is massive! Every site is a pull through. Even this early in the season it was almost full every night. Short drive into town. It was a great place for our base camp as we explored the Banff area.

Nightly rate includes taxes and reservation fee but excludes the four day pass required to park at trail heads (an additional $40.) Not all sites are pull-through. Plus, the sites that are shared (as was mine, 150), sometimes have the hook ups on the wrong side. As a result, I had to pull my trailer to the dump station as I didn't have a long enough hose to use the sewer connection. Book early to get the single pull through spots. Excellent staff, bathrooms are in need of upgrading. Did not use the shower (only a single for about 50 pitches) but it looked to be a bit worn. Zero privacy between pitches.
Highly recommend arriving via the Tunnel Mtn exit from Hwy 1 rather than trying to navigate through Banff (which is like Manhattan at 5:05 PM.)

Very happy with our experience here. Check in and out was quick and easy. Access was also easy. Study the campground map and get a site on the top tier (800’s) facing the outer road (gotta be ready to ‘click’ as SOON as reservations open in January. System differs from US in that all sites for entire season open on that same date. Requires planning ahead {way ahead}). Privacy is still limited, but in this section you look out onto a forest and most driveways are singles. Park was surprisingly quiet considering how big it is. We did hear trains in the distance, but noise was never an issue. Amenities (water, sewer, electric) worked well and are necessary for an extended stay (area is SO spectacularly beautiful you will never want to leave!). Showers free and clean, but limited. Flush toilets in shower houses. Since so many self-contained big rigs use this park, shower was always available when needed. We would absolutely stay here again.

Nice, clean, no-frills campground. Great location to Banff, easy to access, easy to get in ‘n out of. Site #329 is a shared site - we thought we had booked a pull through. Very quiet. Mediocre privacy but decent room between sites. Our site had full hookups and we were able to grab one over-the-air TV station (CTV ch.45). Cell service was sufficient. Camp washrooms were modest and clean - only one shower stall. Overall, we were quite happy and would return. NOTE: upon check-in, we were strongly warned about wolves and bears wandering through camp... please keep all garbage, food (including pet food) inside your camper at all times.

This campground is huge, but fills up quickly. The website opens for reservations for the whole year in January, so there are many people on the site all at the same time and it gets bogged down with web traffic and makes it difficult to get a reservation. We spent about 45 minutes trying, while constantly getting timed out of the system. We were finally successful at getting the reservation, but it wasn't easy. It would be nice if they would stagger the reservations by date instead of having everyone all trying for the season at the same time. Anyway, other than the very inefficient reservation system, we loved our stay and it was worth the effort. The campground is convenient to the town of Banff and there are shuttle buses available to take you there. Lake Louise is about an hour away. Your GPS will try to route you through the town of Banff, but if you're pulling a long trailer or driving a big rig, it's better to go to the Tunnel Mountain exit and not through the town. We travel fulltime and work remotely so cell coverage is important to us. If you care about that, Verizon and T-Mobile worked very well at the campground. I think it was on the Canadian Telus network.

Stayed 2 nights instead of 3 because of our full hookup spot was booked on the 3 nights. And there is a snow storm coming the day after which make us change the plan and leave on the 3rd day. It was end of September as it was less people and cold at night. Will sure be back again for the convenience of the location with full hookup to visit the Canadian Rockies in the future.

Stayed here on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2021. We were hoping to get 2 nights but were lucky with a last minute booking for 1 night. Banff is such an amazing National Park. The Trailer Court has 8 very long rows of camp sites. The '100's are right next to the road, and the '800's are highest on the mountain but, you can hear the noise from the highway the further up you are. We walked the entire campsite and determined that the 300's to the 600's are the best. Just an opinion - they are all quite gorgeous though and you can't beat the views. The washrooms are decent. The hooks work great. No wifi but there is cell service. We want to go back next year and stay for 4-5 nights. 1 just wasn't enough!
It's not walkable to the town - it's quite a distance. There is a free bus service however and it comes right to the campground which is great! Bicycles or a car is a good option as well.

This is a HUGE park nestled in the mountains a short distance from downtown. We arrived just after Labor Day and it was busy, a few noisy groups but really convenient for downtown (3 Japanese restaurants!!!) and sightseeing. There are sites close to the road with amazing views (row 1) but they go very quickly each year. Easy check in and out. Inly grip is that this is in big sky country and the park has overhead lights every few spaces that are i possible to get away from..a real shame. The weekend after, the park really emptied out and (apart from the lights) was perfect.
