We ended up having some truck problems on our trip down to Savannah. This was the closest RV park I could find when we were stopped at a truck stop trying to figure out what to do. Getting a reservation was no problem. Originally, we decided to stay for 3 nights, hoping that would be plenty of time to get our truck fixed. Later, we decided to extend our stay and cancel Savannah. Between the price of gas, the price of getting the truck fixed, and the fact that the RV park was so nice, we opted to just let our credit card cool off a bit and stay put. We ended up being there 11 days. It is an extremely clean and well-cared for park. There are no showers, no laundry room, no dog park, etc. It is an RV park with a community fire pit. That is it. But it is super nice.

Our first time staying at this RV park. We stayed in "A" Loop as there were more trees and it seemed more secluded than the others. They upcharge $3 per night for Thousand Trails members, for 50 amp electricity. Being winter, there were very few people in the park. We were one of only three RVs in A loop the whole two weeks we were there. The spaces are gravel, pretty level with room between campers. The site had just enough room for our 42' fifth wheel and dually pickup. Every site has a picnic table. It seems everyone picks up after their animals because we never saw any problem with that. There are no fire rings, but propane fire-pits are allowed. The employee who checked me in alluded to the future where fire rings and firewood would be allowed. The office was large and very nice with a theater room off to one side for family movie nights. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. There's an activity building further back in the park. It has clean bathrooms, games and puzzles, tons of books, an old worn out piano, and more. The laundry room was nice, 4 washing machines and 4 dryers, all $2 each. The pool and hot tub looked awesome. We were too cold and didn't want to get in swimsuits for the hot tub, but others were in there and seemed very comfortable. There are several social things planned by the office each week, even though we had other things going on and couldn't attend. Cell and streaming service worked great with our ATT hotspot. The ONLY reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because the roads are badly in need of repair. We were told that the public areas like bathrooms, office, laundry, etc will be getting updates soon. Once that is done, then the road is going to be redone. They're full of potholes and just all around miserable. Also, eventually there will be no upcharge for 50 amp because all sites will have 50 amp. We will be back to this park even if the roads aren't finished yet. We loved it out there! We greatly enjoyed getting to know Wendy Fox who helped us figure out the best Thousand Trails membership package for 2023 and beyond. We wanted to upgrade from the basic package we'd had last year. A pleasant experience without a hard-sell attitude from her.

The park was perfect for a quick overnight stay. All hook-ups worked properly and our site was perfectly level. The ONLY reason I'm giving this 3 stars is because the young lady that checked us in couldn't be bothered for a smile, a 'hello', a look in the eye, or a 'thank you for staying here.' She said her check-in schpiel so fast while looking down that I had to ask her to repeat much of it. I also couldn't understand what she was saying with her hoodie pulled up over her head and most of her face. Real welcoming. It was a hundred degrees outside. Who wears a hoodie pulled up over their face and head in this heat? We travel this route once a year and would've probably stayed here again because it was so nice, but we believe that we vote with our dollars, so we will most likely be staying elsewhere in the future.

This is a no-frills off the beaten path campground, but the location can't be beat. The owner Ron is friendly and helpful. It is quiet and peaceful, and we had no issues with any of the other RVers. The campground is all dirt and seashell roads. Our site was level and we had room to park next to our camper as long as no one else was put in the site next to us. There's no picnic tables or fire rings, no pool, hot tub, laundry facilities, or gameroom. There's no gate or security, none seems to be needed. The spaces are close together, but the park wasn't full while we were there for two weeks during March/Spring Break, and many were spread out with empty sites in between. There seemed to be several water and/or sewer issues while we were there. I'm still not sure whether we were in site 22, 23, or 24. Our electric was plugged into 24, we were parked in front of the site 23 sign, and our sewer was plugged into site 22, or it was all vice-versa...I'm not sure. It was weird.
The first morning after our arrival, the water to the park was turned off. When I called the park number, Ron said he didn't want to call everyone to tell them it would be off for a short time. True to his word, it was back on in 30 minutes. Twice we saw someone working on/cleaning out the sewage. It kept getting full or something. Lots of activity with that. My husband had literally just purchased a new water filter before we arrived at this campground. By the time we left two weeks later, our water was barely streaming into the toilet bowl. The park has very low water pressure anyway, so we thought it was just that. However, when we got to our new campsite today in Charleston, SC, we noticed that the brand new filter from two weeks ago was completely clogged. My husband put another brand new one on today and our water is coming into the toilet at the expected higher rate now. There are some water issues at this RV park, but we had fun, enjoyed the gorgeous views and sunsets, learned a lot about high and low tide just by watching it daily, and would stay here again. We never used the bath house, but the women's restroom and shower that I saw were sufficient and clean. I would not call them safe and secure. It would be easy for anyone to walk in there while someone is showering.
There's an older RV that has been made into an interesting Airbnb on the property. It has an added living area, patio, and cute interior design. I'm not sure what the price would be for a week or whatever, but it was cute.
Everyone we met at this campground was friendly and very chill. No one seemed to be working while they were here. All were on vacation, just passing through, visiting nearby family, etc. Life is slow here, just like we like it.
We recommend eating at nearby Altman's. The shrimp was delicious. Piggly Wiggly had everything we needed in a grocery store. Both the Eulonia laundromat, and the King's Laundromat in Darien, are dumps. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
Regarding wifi and phone reception - we use a dedicated device - ATT phone hotspot and had great service the whole time.
The only reason I'm taking off one star is because of all the water issues.

We stayed at Base Camp Family RV Park on 5/31/2021 in site 11 on our way up to Lake City, Co, and then again on our way back home to Texas in site 1 on 6/17/2021. The sites are level, clean, very very large, plenty of room for both travel trailer and truck. Each site has a picnic table. They are pet friendly, easy access from the highway, full sun (no trees to speak of), and all sand/gravel. We had no trouble at all with the water, sewer, or electricity working. Our rate of $46.12 included a Good Sam discount. We were very impressed that it appeared everyone cleaned up after their dogs, as they should be. That was so nice, as we've been in parks where this just wasn't the case and it's gross. I couldn't find an office or store, but there is a sign showing where the camp hosts park. All communication and payments are contactless. The laundry/bathhouse looked beautiful although we didn't use them. The only bad thing we experienced was a dog barking all night long the first night we were there. It was cool enough to have windows open, and it appeared that the dog was not on RV park property. We think it was a dog at the house adjacent to the property. Same dog barked part of the time at our second time to stay there on 6/07/21, but our windows were closed with A/C running that night, so we didn't hear it as bad.

We are brand new to RV camping, and decided to meet some fellow newbies at Coffee Creek. This was the second time ever to use our RVs for both couples. $36 rate included our Good Sam discount of $4. The pull-throughs were very nice, the bath houses and pool nice and clean, and the staff was very friendly. On a different review we read (on Google Reviews), it said that all sites have a picnic table. I think he meant to say NOT all sites have picnic tables instead of "Note all sites have picnic tables" because they were far and few between. There are almost no trees anywhere on the grounds near the RVs. There are many trees near the cabins. We enjoyed visiting the nearby Gilbert Pecan Co, and also Natty Flats cute little town. It was an enjoyable weekend and we hope to be back soon!

Nice, clean small KOA with motivated owners. The sites are a bit close together and unlevel. Our tires were up off the ground on one side once leveled. There is nowhere to turn around when leaving because the main roads are one way/deadend. The back-in sites are kinda bass-akward. We have a 42' fifth wheel and dually. It was a very tight squeeze to pull out of our site and get our rig turned toward the exit when time to leave. Everyone was very friendly and the staff did a cute $1 a scoop ice cream floats fundraiser for the KOA childen's charity while we were there for one night. We had just spent a week at a very ugly and unfriendly RV park in Rawlins, WY and were really bummed we didn't know how nice this KOA was. We would've stayed here a week instead. We heard that we'd just missed a rodeo and lots of fun activities for Labor Day Weekend. We'd definitely stay here again if in the area. Lots of tent sites and cute cabins available also.

When I called to make reservations 3 months ago, I thought I'd gotten the wrong number. The outgoing message for the RV park is less than professional. It's the same message when I had to call to see how to check-in. There's no building, no receptionist, no signs telling you what to do when you get there. Finally, a resident came out to tell us the owner would be there at some point. "Brad" came screeching around the corner within a minute in his truck. This place is nothing fancy. There's a lot of run down trailers, cars, toys, buildings, swingsets, etc. The place is a junkyard with an RV park facade. There are no shower houses, no laundry facilities, no dog park, and no owner onsite. Feral cats and loose dogs everywhere. We could not "pull-through" for an easy out because the branches were so overgrown it would've scratched our fifth wheel terribly. We had to back out and do a 3 point turn to get out of the park. Now, for the good: the full hook-ups worked great. We managed to get level and had a decent night's sleep, even though there's a ton of highway noise and a very loud train. We paid $23 with a Passport America discount. I doubt we'll ever be back.

We arrived after hours and our information was attached to the bulletin board outside the office. It was very easy to find our site and pull-through. Our site was level and we had no issues with the electricity, sewer, or water. Every site has a picnic table, which was nice. We were pleased to see that everyone seems to pick up after their pets. At least half the park was full of full-timers and winter Texans. Everyone we met was friendly and easy to talk to. There was only two nights out of 12 that people were laughing and partying up late in the night, but that doesn't really bother us. We love to hear the sounds of life coming back, after dealing with Covid shut-downs for so long. The laundry room was beautiful, even though we never used it. The park is clean, has some nice trees, a cute little duck pond, and a very nice koi pond with a deck and patio seating. There's also a sweet memorial bench and park area to remember people from the park's past. One of our favorite parts of this area was the food truck park next door. They were open often and the food was wonderful. We highly recommend the ribs from Derek at "What Cha Got." Delicious!

Frog City RV Park in Duson, Louisiana was a great stop halfway between Thousand Trails Colorado River in Columbus, TX and RPI Wilderness in Robertsdale, Alabama for us. We stayed for 3 nights. The roads are narrow inside the park, but manageable. It appears that all sites or almost all sites are pull-thrus. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They offer a breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings. We were busy and didn't get to go to that, but we'll try to do it next time. We were close to Lafayette and got to enjoy the Mardi Gras parades happening there. We stayed in site number 14. Everything worked - no issues with water, sewer, or electricity. It was raining when we set up, and cold much of our time there. Our site was level and there was enough room for our 42' fifth wheel and one ton dually. There's quite a bit of road noise, as you'd expect, since it's right off of I-10, and next door to a huge truck stop and hotel. The roads just outside of the RV park are not great. Getting in and out of the park is slow going to avoid potholes. Package pickup at the office is available, internet worked great, each space had a picnic table, but no fire ring, and the pool looked nice. There's space between campers, enough that you're not on top of each other. We would definitely stay here again. Our travel videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUOPQrjghNHZo9NDnH88xBw
