Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on March 25, 2018Stayed here for 1 night in our 36' TT. The owner was extremely nice and helped us into our spot, he even delivered some fresh vegetables a while later! The spots are all gravel and have full hookups, we fit in our spot just fine while still attached to our truck. There were some trees that helped tremendously for shade with the hot Texas sun, but I can see where some spots would be an issue to get into because of low hanging branches. Not really much else, a few spots had tables others didn't. Not the most luxurious, but quiet and an awesome owner. $15 with passport America, $30 without.

Stayed here for 1 night in our 35' TT. We arrived after dark after a long day on the road. The camp host greeted us with a flashlight and helped get us pulled in, leveled and hooked up. Exceeding our expectations considering how late it was and very much appreciated. Staff is friendly and excited about building this park up from Ms G’s homestead.
Easy to get to from the insterstate. We slept well, great place to spend the night. Train tracks are nearby, but we didn’t notice them overnight.
$15 with passport America.

Full hookups were good and friendly staff, but campground looks more like a landfill than rv park. No tv reception, poor cell reception. Wifi was good but we were park next to antenna. No bathrooms or showers, grass was 9” high. Several dogs roaming off leash during day, started barking at midnight for two hours. Wasn’t worth 20 a night PA rate.

Prior to our arrival, I called to see if there was room for us and he said that there was. We were concerned that the bridges that would lead us to the park were not high enough. He explained that if we go to exit 225 we should have no problem.
Just arrived at Ms G's RV Park located in Loraine, TX. Very quiet and peaceful. Upon arrival there was a gentleman who showed us to our location (we had a choice). We wanted to pay by credit card, and he stated that the owner would be by to collect the credit card information. Within an hour or so the owner stopped by and introduced himself (keeping his distance CoVid-19) and completed the credit card transaction right on the spot.
He is a farmer who farms cotton fields. He is also an avid hunter and enjoys the thrill of "bare hands" wild boar hunts. He grew up here and has inherited this from his parents. It is an on-going project however therapeutic that may or not be.
I highly recommend this RV Park as it has no frills and grounds you back to a simpler time when there was not CoVid-19. Passport of America accepted.

This was a safe and convenient place to stop for the night. We really enjoyed the welcome greeting we received both times we stayed and the rustle of the trains going by at night. It's far from fancy but very pleasant experience.

We were greeted by the very friendly and welcoming owner, who showed us to our site and stayed until he was sure we would not have any issues at the site. The site was level and the hookups were in very good condition. The site was not too close to neighbors, but did not have a table. The park was mostly dirt with many nice trees typical of this region. There were a few toys around for children and an occasional bench to sit on. The park made for a nice evening stroll.
The RV park is conveniently located near the highway, but not too close. Highway noise was present, but distant and not a bother. There were trains that came through, but no whistles blew. We hardly noticed them and they did not disturb our sleep. The park was quiet and peaceful overall.
We only had 1 bar LTE with Verizon but had no issues with calls or using our hotspot.
This was a very nice place to stay a night while traveling. We will stay again when traveling this way. The owner let us know that March would be a good time to visit as nearby Sweetwater hosts its annual rattlesnake roundup.

When I called to make reservations 3 months ago, I thought I'd gotten the wrong number. The outgoing message for the RV park is less than professional. It's the same message when I had to call to see how to check-in. There's no building, no receptionist, no signs telling you what to do when you get there. Finally, a resident came out to tell us the owner would be there at some point. "Brad" came screeching around the corner within a minute in his truck. This place is nothing fancy. There's a lot of run down trailers, cars, toys, buildings, swingsets, etc. The place is a junkyard with an RV park facade. There are no shower houses, no laundry facilities, no dog park, and no owner onsite. Feral cats and loose dogs everywhere. We could not "pull-through" for an easy out because the branches were so overgrown it would've scratched our fifth wheel terribly. We had to back out and do a 3 point turn to get out of the park. Now, for the good: the full hook-ups worked great. We managed to get level and had a decent night's sleep, even though there's a ton of highway noise and a very loud train. We paid $23 with a Passport America discount. I doubt we'll ever be back.
