Great overnight stop in Amarillo. The rv section is separate from the semi truck parking, so it’s very quiet. We were the only travel trailer the night we stayed, but there were a couple vans parked overnight as well. Very convenient off the highway and plenty of space to park. Fast cell service, too!

Beautiful spot with a great view overlooking the lake. We did have to purchase a day use pass in addition to our camping fee, but it was only $25 and good for a year. Bathrooms are small, but clean. Site has 30amp hookup and water, but no sewer. Overall a gorgeous place to stay. Short drive to downtown Norton for groceries. Verizon is working well with our cell booster, but AT&T is spotty. The prairie dogs are adorable, there is a colony living here in the park that you can watch from a pavilion. Seems like a lot of people boat and fish in the lake (we didn't), and there is also a swimming area.

We needed a place to stay on a long drive and this worked great. I called the store to ask if we could stay and where to park. We were told to park on the side of the lot near the hotel. It was a great overnight stop. Fast cell service due to proximity to the city and highway, but not really any highway noise. The parking lot felt safe and was well lit.

This is probably one of the best Thousand Trails campgrounds we’ve been to. Half of the campground is a KOA. We don’t generally have high expectations for TT campgrounds so this one was a pleasant surprise. They had a lot of kid activities Labor Day weekend (we don’t have kids, but we did watch the movie on the lawn which was pretty cool). I imagine if you have kids, this place would be awesome. We stayed here to see North Cascades National Park, I think we were about 45 minuets away, but the drive there was pretty so we didn’t mind. ATT and Verizon were both good for work and video conferencing. We have a cell booster, so I’m not sure how it was unboosted.

Not only did we get a EWS site for a reasonable price super close to Capitol Reef National Park, but the owners were awesome! We camped at the pull through site closest to the main building (I’m not sure of the site number) and had a great WiFi signal without a WiFi extender. Henry and Leslie offered us fresh kale and bok choy from their garden too. Laundry is available for $5/load (wash and dry) via an honor system as is firewood (I think that was $7). Bathrooms were clean. Our overall experience here was outstanding. We’ll definitely be back to stay next time we’re in the area. We did use a cell booster, but cell service was good for video conferencing. We camped 10/1/17-10/8/17.

No AT&T in the area, but very close to a Verizon tower (you can see it from the campground) and Verizon was strong enough for full time remote work, video conferencing, and streaming. The main perk of this park, in my opinion, is the location- it’s right across the street from the Grand Staircase visitor center, which is super convenient for grabbing brochures and finding things to do in the area. The laundry room was clean and machines worked well. We were able to receive packages in the front office and the staff was nice. We would stay again if going to the area.

We started out in Site 16. The water pressure was almost non-existent, we had no picnic table or fire pit, and lots of mosquitoes (it isn’t the campground’s fault there were mosquitoes obviously, but still). I called about the water after hours and the owner came over in the evening to check it out, offered to run a longer hose, and hope it works. The next morning she came back and told us we could move to 19. Site 19 was wonderful, it was all up hill from there!

19 had a beautiful lake view and a nice spot to hang outside with a fire pit and picnic table. The sites were all spacious and we had a big tree to block some of the day time sun.

Verizon worked great for video conferencing. I don’t remember the upload/download speed, but we didn’t have trouble. ATT was much slower, we could still get online, but it wasn’t sufficient for video.

The campground had a small laundromat and full hookup sites. This campground is also in a City park which has a great bike trail and access to the reservoir for boating and kayaking.

Pocatello is about 25 minuets away for just about any “big box” store you could need.

Can’t beat the location! We were able to walk into downtown Austin from our campsite. The manager is super friendly and helpful, laundry is available and cheap ($1 wash, $1 dry), and everyone we talked to in the park is nice. This campground has mostly long term folks, but they also offer sites for short term stays. We stayed in November 2018 and again February 2019. It’s a small park, but we didn’t have any trouble getting into our sites. Some sites are a little unlevel, but it’s easy to roll up on a couple blocks. Overall, a great spot. My only complaint is that cell service is spotty in Austin. Not just this park, but all around the city. Not sure why? We have ATT and Verizon as well as a weboost cell booster. We managed, but Brandy did loose internet connection in the middle of a video conference call once during the week.

We stayed early July 2022. The campground is pretty big, but we felt like we had plenty of space in our campsite. We initially used this location as a home base to explore Shenandoah National Park, because we needed cell service and there isn’t really much closer with a strong signal. However, we ended up loving the park itself! There’s a fantastic cave tour into Endless Caverns, a gorgeous cavern system, and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a great tour.

Verizon speeds- 21.5Mbps download and 9.58Mbps upload when tested with a booster. We also used AT&T. Grocery shopping was available in nearby Harrisonburg for pretty much any big box store and there was a small laundromat at the campground.

Everything about this park was great! The owners were nice and the location was perfect. We showed up and snagged a last minute spot for the week with full hookups. They also offer tent sites. WiFi worked sporadically, but Verizon and ATT worked well with the cell booster. Bathrooms were clean and laundry was reasonably priced. Far drive to a decent grocery store so come prepared! Great spot, we’ll definitely go back! Camped 9/9-9/16
