This is probably one of the best Thousand Trails campgrounds we’ve been to. Half of the campground is a KOA. We don’t generally have high expectations for TT campgrounds so this one was a pleasant surprise. They had a lot of kid activities Labor Day weekend (we don’t have kids, but we did watch the movie on the lawn which was pretty cool). I imagine if you have kids, this place would be awesome. We stayed here to see North Cascades National Park, I think we were about 45 minuets away, but the drive there was pretty so we didn’t mind. ATT and Verizon were both good for work and video conferencing. We have a cell booster, so I’m not sure how it was unboosted.

Out of the 14 nights we stayed we had water three of them. The other days the water had run out or there was a boil notice. Also, we didn’t get a call or email warning us, we just showed up for our reservation and were told that there is no water. We ended up driving into town to grab a ton of gallons. Also, the laundry room and pool were closed (because of inadequate water supply). Fantastic.the roads are dirt and a little bumpy and the sites, at least in our area, aren’t totally level. Aside from that, it’s a pretty pleasant place. There’s a nice little lake that made for a great dog walk loop, lots of tall trees, and peace and quiet during the non-weekend days.

Cell service was fantastic on both ATT and Verizon- hovering around 30mbps download and 5mbps upload without the cell booster for both carriers. (We never set up/plugged in the booster since our speed tests were so good).

Not much to do in Silver Creek, but there is a post office that will accept general delivery packages. Groceries and a laundromat are about 30 minuets away. Mount Rainier is a little over an hour. We’d come back mainly because it’s free and there’s great cell service, but we’d definitely bring water!

FHU in a gorgeous location! Every staff member we interacted with was pleasant, the campground was convenient, and our site was level. We stayed here to explore Page, AZ. We came on “vacation days” so cell service didn’t matter this trip. Cell service on ATT and Verizon weren’t great though, we did fine with basic stuff, but it wouldn’t have been sufficient for a work week. There’s a grocery store in town and a laundromat in the campground (we didn’t use it so I can’t comment on it other than it being available). We also went on the Canyon Adventures Boat Tour which was fantastic and available through the same company that runs the campground. The weather was rainy during our stay, the boat tour gave us the ability to explore Antelope Canyon, Navajo Canyon, and the Glen Canyon Damn without hiking into a slot canyon with the risky forecast. We also hiked out to Horseshoe Bend which is a must see if you head to Page!

We stayed twice. Once for a week in December and then back for three weeks in January. We totally fell in love with this place. We stayed in Interior Plus sites, and, the Seawall and Interior Plus sites are the ones we’d choose when staying again. This is a big snowbird destination and we met the sweetest people that have been coming to this park every winter for many years.

The office will accept mail/packages and the campground has a laundromat available. Laundry is a bit pricey, but everything is in the keys, so it was expected. There is a wonderful swim area along the seawall. We saw lots of birds, fish, stingrays, jellies, and even a few dolphins and nurse sharks.

Cell service was great for remote work and we had no issues staying connected with AT&T and Verizon.

The owner was pleasant and each site had a little grass patch which our dogs loved. It’s a typical RV park and you’re pretty close to your neighbor, but we had a nice time and it never got rowdy. A small laundromat is available and bathrooms were the cleanest we’d ever seen in an RV park! Cell service was great with our booster for ATT and Verizon.

What more could you want? This place was fantastic. Cell service was more than sufficient for work, we had a wonderful E/W campsite facing west for the most amazing sunsets, and the hiking trails had wildlife and great lake views. Definitely recommend hiking the Wild Burro Trail, if you’re lucky, you’ll see these beautiful creatures. Overall, this was a great spot for a week. Bathrooms were clean and all staff we interacted with was helpful and friendly. Only cons- no laundry on site and it was a bit of a drive for groceries (about 30 minuets).

We loved our time here. Cell service wasn’t great so we planned to go for a few days when we didn’t need to be too connected. We did use the cell booster and were able to use limited 4G service on Verizon and ATT. The campground is part of Thousand Trails, this was our second TT campground (we got a free year membership when we bought our camper). There was a great mildly strenuous waterfall hike on the property which was awesome, not a lot of water flowing, but a great hike. They also have goats and chickens you can visit with and offer horseback riding. It was about a 30-45 minute drive to grocery shopping in Santa Barbara or the Solvang area. Both spots have great farmers markets on select days too! Our site had full hookups, the bathrooms were clean, staff was super nice, and laundry was available for a reasonable price.

Of the two Trails Collection campgrounds (Thousand Trails) in the Florida Keys, this would be my second choice, but it is still phenomenal and we’ve stayed a couple times over the years and will continue to return. You can’t beat the price if you are a member and the park is only about five minutes away from Bahia Honda State Park.

Main reason why it’s number 2 in my opinion, but still deserves 5 stars- the swim area at the beach is pretty shallow and the bottom is murky (Fiesta Key has a deep swim area with a sea wall at the beach). Fiesta Key also has trash pickup from your site which is a nice perk that isn’t offered at Sunshine.

We really enjoy staying here to go down to Key West and to explore the nearby area. The campsites are pretty big and all of the staff was super friendly. We also enjoyed the outdoor movie night during our stay. The campground has a laundromat that takes credit cards (super convenient).

AT&T plus the cell booster was how we stayed connected/worked remotely while here. Verizon did work, but upload was so slow and wasn’t sufficient for video conferencing.

We camped November 13-27.

We stayed two and a half months during covid May 16 to August 1. We’ve stayed at this campground a few times when we’ve visited St. Augustine and it’s a great spot with fast cell service with Verizon and AT&T not too far from the beach and town (about twenty minutes). The campground is near the outlet mall and about ten minutes from the closest Publix. The laundromat is always clean and they make sure the grounds look nice. Our rate is based on the monthly fee, so it is much less than nightly or weekly camping. We will continue to come back to this spot when we visit St. Augustine. We prefer state parks if we can snag a spot, but this is a great RV park if there isn’t any state park availability and it was a wonderful place to stay for a couple months. Bonus- the campground has wifi that was actually decent, not for streaming, but sufficient to update apps and check emails.

We loved Dowdy Lake! Electric, but no water at the sites. There is a water fill station near the bathrooms (vault toilets only). The view was amazing. Come prepared with groceries as it’s a bit of a drive to a full store. There is a small grocery store in Red Feather Lakes. No laundry or dump station, but plenty of dump station options in Ft. Collins if you’re heading that way. Hiking around the lake was beautiful. Elevation is about 8,000 ft, we’re used to sea level so we were a bit tired. We used a cell booster here. Expect the weather to be chilly in September! We camped 9/17-9/23
