Didn’t stay because no cell service and nothing special. There aren’t any trees or grass.

This is about the only RV park open in this area after October. We were very grateful for the hookups to power our trailer on cold nights. There is SO MUCH to do in this area it was hard for us to leave. The folks who run this place are super nice, the bathroom/laundry room is clean and new. Yes it’s a pretty boring campground, but a great place to come home to after cruising the dirt roads. And, amazingly quiet for being right off the road

Escalante Cabins and RV Park is in their 4th season...ALL sites and amenities are new. Great city water. Reliable power to the towers. Sites are level, all are pull-thru about 70 ft long.
The owners are really great people! They try to accommodate everyone. Besides basic supplies in the office, they have a freezer full of their grass-fed beef for sale!
Given that the park is in the DESERT, there isn't a lot of grass or trees but there are nice grass patches between sites and small trees that are being nursed along in the dry climate. The campground is very clean as is the laundry room and office.
I'm also very glad they're open during COVID 19 !

Great location to discover Escalante. We love it here. The people are UNBELIEVABLY friendly. Arrival was so nice, contactless check in is great. We were early, not a problem at all. Sites are wide. When the trees grow the shade will be lovely.

The staff is friendly and the park is clean and fairly new. The sites are long - we camp here with a 41’ motorhome going a 28’ trailer - and wide enough for big slide outs. Many sites have grass. The trees are young but growing.
There are a lot of UTVs in the park but the 5 mph speed limit keeps the noise and dust to a minimum.
It’s a great launching point for exploring the Grand Staircase and close enough to to town to walk to a few restaurants. We stay here 2-3x per year.

First problem, we came in on Friday and they said our reservation was for Saturday. They found us a tent site, no hookups. Ok, we made do. Next day we moved to full hookup site but got stuck in the soft sand in front of the site. An employee went to get the owner who said he wasn’t going to help dig us out. We shamed him into it and we did get unstuck and into the site. No “sorry“ for not maintaining the campground roads.

For me, this campground was just ok. The spaces are long enough for most rigs. But the selling point for me, was all the hiking in the area. Laundry was expensive, $3.50 for a washer but it may be due to limited facilities in town and water prices. Showers were private and clean.

Absolutely no ATT coverage and the WiFi drops from 1 bar to nothing constantly. I have an iPhone 11 pro and on wifi calling I had to call back 3 times and it was a struggle to be understood. Road noise is loud and kids screaming outside. Very helpful and kind staff. Laundry room is clean, has 5 washers (1 not working) $3.50-$4 and 5 dryers (1 not working) $2. One overflowing dumpster but there was another that had a little room still which is great because we have been boondocking for over a week. 20 amp GFI kept tripping with only our Pioneer mini split plugged in using less than 500w but staff brought us a 30amp to 15 amp plug so we could have heat overnight! They let us check in early due to winter storm coming in which we are grateful for. Not the most level spot but doable with our hydraulic levels.

No AT&T in the area, but very close to a Verizon tower (you can see it from the campground) and Verizon was strong enough for full time remote work, video conferencing, and streaming. The main perk of this park, in my opinion, is the location- it’s right across the street from the Grand Staircase visitor center, which is super convenient for grabbing brochures and finding things to do in the area. The laundry room was clean and machines worked well. We were able to receive packages in the front office and the staff was nice. We would stay again if going to the area.

The staff was very professional and attentive, particularly with auto-generated texts and emails in the days prior to arrival, and even one after departure. The check-in, shower and laundry facilities are all new, clean and top-notch. The sites themselves are just OK, arranged in standard RV park fashion without much distance between neighbors, no shade, and a little grass.
