We stayed in the Lower Falls Hemlock Campground Site #172 which is pretty level. The site is across from the shower house (closed for season) and near the primitive toilets. A trail leading to the Lower Falls stems from this campground. Once there you can continue hiking to the Upper Falls which is about 4 miles one way. This is a must see UP park. Both the Upper and Lower Falls are gorgeous. There is a brewery located in the park at the Upper Falls. Unbelievable. I recommend lunch at the BBQ trailer next to it.

We stayed in Cottonwood the first week of May before the season. Steady rain for 4 days and none of the sites flooded. Our site #35 would fit any rig and had a good view to the south. We would have gotten some good sun on our portable panels had the sun been out. I think site #25 was the longest pull thru. IMO Site #23 has the best view and is on the North side. Those campers had their Star Link out. North Loop road is tight for big rigs but doable. New showers are almost complete in the North Loop. Buffalo and wild horses walk through the campground.

50 amp sites are 1-27, 85-106. My favorites are in the 85-106 group. Pull thru sites are 11, 33, 39, 42, 50, 64, 66, 68, 77, 91, 101. Avoid #91 if you have a deep driver's side slide. My favorite sites are 89 and 90. I included pics. The least desirable are 66 and 67 because they overlook the boat ramp parking lot and it brings truck noise and a lighted parking lot. Some sites are narrow back in and down sites. Those are not my favorites.

We stayed the week after Labor Day and everything was closed for the season. The pool, jeep rides, basically everything mentioned in other reviews. This made for a very peaceful and sparsely populated park. We LOVED it. Plenty of hiking and biking available. We stayed in the Red Cloud campground in the new FHU outer loop (east and south side of campground). Be advised that there will be no shade in this new section for about 20 years. The older section is well shaded. Price does not include Nebraska day use fee. We had previously purchased an annual non-resident pass for $60.

This 20 spot campground is on a 7700 acre lake. The campground is next to the boat ramp and new fishing dock. This part of the lake is not busy (perfect for canoes/kayaks) as I saw only one boat launch on a Friday morning and the fisherman caught a keeper bass on his 2nd cast.
Make reservations. Friday morning only had one small site still available but there were about 6 no shows leaving sites empty. Tight campground spots and roads. Suggest big rigs arrive during the day. When making reservations, pay attention to the site size unless you are a van camper.  We did not use showers/bathrooms so for $27 w/tax per night this campground is a solid 4 stars.

We live nearby and this is our favorite campground when we need to get away for a couple of days. For travelers, it is well worth the 8 mile drive from I-80. Weekend reservations are a must for in season camping. Sites are electric only with many 50 amp. Water and dump station available. The loop with the playground has many satellite friendly sites. These sites are gravel and require less leveling then the loop with the pine trees. Pine tree loop is about 50 yards from the 60 acre lake. The lake has a one way, paved, 15-20 mph loop road that is popular with walkers and bikers. Note: The cafe, camp store, and boat rental are closed for 2022 as the vender pulled out last Fall and they have not been replaced. Travelers need to stock up in Annawan as soon as you get off of I-80.

We stayed on site #18 which was level, had electricity, and had plenty of space between our neighbors. This site is very close to the trail that leads to the dog friendly beach. This park is basically in the middle of the Dunes National Park. So there are plenty of hiking trails and about a 10 mile paved bike trail that runs through them both. I can see why this campground fills up weeks in advance. It's beautiful with plenty of beaching, hiking, and biking available. TIP. Avoid I-80 near Chicago. Took us 3 hrs to travel 25 miles on a Sunday afternoon.

This is close to a 5 star county campground. Excellent bathhouse and laundry. The sites are mushy after a rain as they are a mixture of rock, grass, and dirt. IF they were paved, this is a 5 star rating for me. The premium sites next to the river are worth the few extra dollars in price. I woke up in the middle of the night and watched a 1000 foot freighter slide by my bedroom window. TIP: Get a free maritime app that shows the ships location in real time so you know when the next one is coming.

If elected, I will make sure there is a COE campground within a 3 hour drive time everywhere in the US. I paid $24 a night for a spacious, level, fine gravel, electric/water campsite with lake views. I added overview photos of sites A-16, A-2, A-3, A-4, A-5. As with most COE campgrounds, the shower and restrooms can use updating. Great cell signal, no wi-fi, and I picked up 1 DISH satellite at spot A-16. All lakefront should be satellite friendly, others hit or miss. Note that there are no longer laundry machines in the campground. They most likely will not be replaced. The closest public laundry in town has bad reviews and we did not use.

This is a really nice green oasis in a sea of desert brown landscape. Concrete level pads with roomy blacktop roads. $40 a night for full hookups and they offer a Good Sam and Veteran discount. Very small laundry room. Half BB court on site with a nice kids playground behind the office. The best sites for unobstructed views of Scott's Bluff are #20 followed by #21. Both big rig friendly pull thru. Almost all sites in the park should be satellite friendly. I don't recommend site #8 near the entrance. The quietest sites will be on the north end.
