Confirmed by 13 users | Last reported on September 28, 2023This park is owned by the city of Gering. The sites are extremely long pull thrus with a perfectly level concrete pad for the RV and a paved drive on either end. All the roads are paved, as well. Sites are diagonal with a very large separation from the neighbor. Each site also has a large attached concrete patio with a picnic table. Our price reflects FHU's with 50 amp. Cable TV is offered for extra. The park has WiFi which is slow. We spent each evening sitting out enjoying our view of Scott's Bluff! The park is very quiet. A wonderful find while visiting the Monument. We will most definitely return here.

This is not a fancy park but it is nicely laid out with trees and room between sites. Great view of ScottsBluff! The sites are long and level. WII FI works well enough although it had some downtime. Cable was fine with the little oddity of having a separate remote that you actually point to the box outside. It's quiet at night but picks up a bit in the morning as people leave for work. As it was off season, the office wasn't staffed a full day but we never had an issue getting in touch with someone. Staff were very friendly and were often seen working around the park. Although we never felt unsafe, it was nice to see patrol cars checking everything out. This park seems to be kind of in the middle of nowhere but it stays busy. We would return if we were in the area. We camped at Robidoux RV Park in a Motorhome.

Dittos on the previous reviews. My site was in the northwest corner and the WiFi was so slow as to be unusable. Not a big deal but location in the park probably influences reception. Even tried my WiFiRanger with Elite booster and while I had a good connection speed was very slow, 300Kbs or so.

Take a tour of the Scottsbluff National Monument. Nice museum, information on the struggles of the Mormon and Oregon Trail. Drive or hike to the top through the only three roadway tunnels in Nebraska.
Stop at the Legacy of the Plains Museum. Ask them about the chicken plucking machine. Can't say I have ever seen such a device. Strange....

This is a really well run RV park, owned and operated by the City of Gering. Easy place to stay if visiting the Scotts Bluff National Monument. Clean park, lots of open space even if many of the sites are front to back configuration. WiFi was completely non-functional with the park at full occupancy.

Mostly pull thru sites some with a great view of Scotts Bluff Monument. On the edge of town. Nice spacing between sites. Close to several points of interest. Campground is very well maintained with hot showers and laundry. Several points of interest in area. Campground host friendly and helpful. Area is well worth checking out.

I just stayed here for a night. It's adjacent to a subdivision, but you do have a nice view of the bluffs. Very little shade, to be expected in this part of the country I suppose. Facilities were just OK, but the staff was excellent. I was there in June 2017 and when a family emergency occurred back home, the staff was supremely accommodating, let me store the rig in overflow for a fair price and even picked me up at the airport.

After our experience at the nearby state park, we opted for this place. The lawns are lush with thick green grass (which is very well maintained), trees and flowers. The woman who works in the office is there daily from 12-5. We were able to get into a pull thru site with water and electric hookups.
There are sites with full hookups and there is also a dump station on site. There is a bath/shower house. A laundry room is available with 2 washers & 2 dryers ($1.50 & $1.25). Next to the office is a huge fenced in area which has a playground, grass and trees. The woman in the office told us that the dogs can run off leash in there (as long as you pick up after them). * There is another dog park down the road which is also really nice and has 3 separate areas.
This park is a little weird in the set up. There are sites that look like they are pull in only (Or you can have hook ups on the wrong side of your rig). There are also double pull thru sites...so the first person in hookups are on the right side; second person in has to back in making your hookups on the opposite side. (These double pull thru would be great if traveling with another rig.)
Scottsbluff NM and the Oregon Trail are only 5 minutes down the road.
We would definitely stay here again.

This is a perfectly lovely RV park set in a stunning setting. The sites are generally level and large. The wifi is spotty and slow. Very pooch friendly with a large (many acres) fenced in grassy area for off leash romping.
The big negative? The showers/bathrooms. The design is probably the worst I've experienced. We've visited many small rv parks that have very nice, cleverly designed BRs, so these can't be explained away because it's a small, municipal park. If you are self contained and don't need external bathrooms, this park is clearly 5 Stars. But if you do, you won't be too happy. Moldy, mildewy showers, plastic chairs for??
Who designed this mess? Lack of privacy.... I could go on.
