The Red Barn RV Park is really a nice little campground off of NM Highway 380 which is also known as 2nd Street. There are only about a dozen spots with #11 being the best. Most sites are back in but there are a couple pull thru. We paid $30 a night which includes full hookups, good wifi and cable. The campground is dog friendly and has a path leading from the park to a  quiet (no traffic) country road. The laundry consisted of a very good washer and dryer at $1.50 a load. You can exchange books, movies, and purchase soft drinks, ice cream and ice in the community room. It is centrally located to NM Bottomless Lakes State Park and all there is to see in Roswell. Highway 380 is noisy during the day but quiets down after rush hour. Lee, the host and owner, was very friendly and helpful. Give her a call. I recommend this park.

This would be a 5 star county park if the sites were asphalt or concrete. But for around $73 dollars a night (w/tax) you should be able to enjoy your site even if it rains. We stayed 3 nights and it rained for 2 1/2 days. Almost half of the sites turned into conditions like South Carolina's famous low country swamps. Other sites were still able to enjoy their patio areas under the awning or in their tent enclosures without worrying about washing away. Loop 1 had more well draining sites. Definitely avoid Loop 2, outside row, especially on the North side if rain is in the forecast. Otherwise, bring your rubber garden boots.

I agree with other reviewers who wrote about all of the numerous positive attributes about this park and campground. The dog park is spectacular. Looks like it's about 4 acres with a lake and dog beach.

In season, fully staffed, this state park has a lot to offer. Hiking, biking, water park, zip lining, horseback riding, paddle boats, theater, volleyball, numerous playgrounds etc. SAC museum next door. Six miles from the outlet mall. Campground is older with tight turns, hilly dirt patios, some sites need significant leveling ,electric only (most). You cannot escape I-80 traffic noise.

Large FHU, pull thru site with cable and free wifi that was good enough to stream video. And all for $37! Easy on/off for I-29. Very little "city driving" to get to this park. Some sites are first come first serve. We arrived on a Saturday around 3pm and they still had 2 large pull thru's and a handful of back ins available. This campground is in the middle of a metro area so you've got noise. Sites closest to the river will get I-29 noise which is directly across the river in Iowa. Sites on the west side are next to a water park and athletic fields. When they close you have traffic noise from apartment complexes. Those with rigs 35 feet and up might find the campground roads tight. TIP: No parking in front of the office or after. If you are big, stop right after the dumpsters as soon as you pull in. Office is the first building in front of you.

We spent one night at Clear Lake State Park on a nice Sunday afternoon. Paid $29.50 for 50 amp only the price includes $4.50 reservation fee. The electric only pull through sites are close together and some face each other in that the camp sides are together. Pay attention to the notes when making reservations. There were lots of local non campers driving through the campground but otherwise it was fairly quiet. Nice dump station with potable water. The nicest sites appear to be the full hookup sites near the shower house.

The quietest park we have ever stayed at. Friendly staff, clean sites, and plenty of well marked hiking trails. Easy access to our FHU pull thru site. No real camp store. Only snacks at the entrance gate so stock up in Atlanta. No OTA channels but our hot spot was good enough to stream. We stayed two days in late February and shared our loop with only 4 other campers plus the host. The other campground only had 2 campers. During our walks, all we could hear were birds ( a lot of wood ducks) and the occasional fishing boat on the lake. This was the perfect stop to rest after a couple of long travel days.

We stayed in the Pines campground spot #59. The site was packed sand/grass and needed minor leveling. I would suggest the paved pull thru sites in this campground. The sites are pretty close to one another. We had to use a booster to get a Verizon signal good enough for our hotspot to stream. From talking to people, the other campgrounds have better cell service. This campground is closest to the only dog beach which is near the beach house. The 1.5 mile gravel/sand path to the lighthouse is also at this campground. This is a pretty easy bike ride for kids with only a few spots of deeper sand. We saw people catching fish at the lake (near the dam) and on the beach at the mouth of the river. Plenty to do at this park.

We spent 2 nights in spot #53 which is a nice long pull thru on the end with 30 amp and water. We really enjoyed our stay. Miles of hiking trails that are bike friendly. Lake front sites where you can pull your boat right to your site or launch your kayaks. The road along the lakefront campsites is tight for big rigs but very doable. Fish were getting caught from campsites and on the bridge by the check in office. The park has an enormous field in the middle that we were lucky enough to see 2 hot air balloons launch! Unbelievable! My 2 night stay went from $110 to $82 with my veterans discount. Thank you Georgia!

We stayed in #13 which is a single pull thru at the back of the comfort station (showers). Check the campground map as some pull thru are doubles meaning if you are second to arrive you will be backing in. Warning, avoid site #13 if rain is forecast as it driveway gets really mushy probably from run off from the shower building. Plenty of hiking, biking, E-biking, and walking in the park. Bike path goes all the way into town. Campers were catching fish from the campground river bank. As usual, the quieter loop was the one without the playground. Also a mandatory $7 a day ( $35 annual) ND park pass required.

We spent one night at Turtle River State Park just outside of Grand Forks, ND. Site #22 is a long pull thru that does not have any privacy to site #17 which is on the other side of the loop. You will be able to share campfire stories with #17. I must say that ND does have some of the nicest state parks, especially compared to IL. This campground has more pull thru sites suitable for big rigs than any other state campground. This was a quick overnight so we did not experience the rest of the park. We could not stream with our AT&T hotspot.
