This is a great choice spot near Chattahooche, FL and on the Apalachacola River system originating near Atlanta, GA. This C/G is one of a series that runs along this waterway system offering wonderful recreational opportunities.

This small, but popular C/G is well located, accessible, well managed and in the midst of an area full of wildlife including gators. They always seemed to be patrolling just offshore. Rather ominous, but as we saw, helped keep the Candian goose population down.

We loved our stay at Eastbank. The sites are very generously sized, and the sites on the lake have amazing views. Our site #2 had a beautiful view of Lake Seminole and we saw a spectacular sunset every evening. It was so peaceful and quiet and the perfect place to get away from it all. Verizon 4G and AT&T both worked very well there.

We camped here in March, 2016 in a 35 foot fifth wheel. The rate we paid is with the federal senior park pass.

Site 1 is a long waterfront back in site with crushed gravel pad, water and electric hookups, a picnic table, fish cleaning table, fire ring, and steps down to the lake. This is a great place to kick back, relax and watch the sunset over Lake Seminole. There is a boat ramp in the park and the dump station is conveniently located on the way out of the park.

Although the address is in Georgia the park is only about a mile from the Florida state line and the town of Chattahoochee.

Heading through the Florida Panhandle during Spring Break is a recipe for booked up campsites. We looked at several of our favorites, and everything was booked up. When I saw availability at this park over Easter weekend, we booked the very last spot available (FYI, despite what Recreation.gov says - site 63 *IS* an RV site).

And so glad we did, as this park is exactly our style and we'd specifically route this way again just to stay here.

Huge lovely sites, many directly water front (we weren't so fortunate, but felt blessed to have anything at all). The lake is beautiful, and offers amazing sunsets. You're technically in Georgia, but you can see the state line across the lake.

There really isn't a bad site in this campground - so even if you don't score a waterfront site, don't hesitate. There are also several walk-in only sites, and sometimes you can get a great site (or swap sites) once you arrive.

There is a single laundry room in the back bath house with $1 loads, which was quiet convenient. There's not much else in the immediate vicinity, so make sure you come stocked up.

Unfortunately, it downpoured during most of our stay, so we didn't get out exploring the hiking trails and surrounding area as much as we would liked.

We'd stayed at Falling Water and seen Florida Caverns (FL State Parks) on our way east in Dec and wanted to try a COE park in the same area as we headed west. And this place, as Technomadia says is a gem.

Our only problem was the electricity AND we are ot sure that it was the electricity of a faulty surge protector but our SP would not allow the electricity to come on. Since the camp host assured us that the people before us had had no problem we plugged in and hoped for the best-and had no problem. Other than a faulty SP (we returned it and got another) the only other thing he came up with was the fact that being next to the dam and a electric plant perhaps the currents were different. Not being an electrician I cannot say but if you have a functioning SP that gives you a bad reading it may be worth reporting.

Other than that one little glitch we had a lovely 3 days-though overcast. We rode our bikes over to the dam (actually in FL) and up the LONG steep hill but did not get into town. We had rain two nights but the sunset on the non-rainy night was glorious.

Had Deerlick COE CG in Tuscaloosa not been so incredibly wonderful this would have been our favorite so far this year (until Cranes Mill (TX) that is)

Our rate is the Senior rate.

Very happy with the campground. Sites are well spaced, so even when it's full (which it wasn't after the first couple of days), you still fell like you have some space to call your own. It was quiet enough that the cat was willing to go for walks with us, which is saying something.

In typical Army Corp of Engineers style, it was grassy, lots of trees and awesome water routing with ditches, streams, bridges, etc (if you've ever lived where there's lots of water flowing, you'll appreciate the great engineering!).

There wasn't any specific dog park, but just outside the campground there was an area with baseball diamonds and other fields, all fenced, that was great for frisbee with the dog.

The lake is beautiful, although not very accessible. Warnings of alligators detered us from attempting to find places for us or the dog to swim.

As a note, because of a doctors appointment we ended up needing to stay a couple of days over the maximum 14 day stay. I spoke to the ranger (at the Resource Office) and they were okay with extending our allowed time to 17 days.

The only downside was the cell reception (Verizon) was only 2 bars most of the time.

We scored a lakefront site for a week here. The sites are spacious, and the angle that they are laid out means that you get great views of the lake from multiple windows, without feeling like someone is next to you.

There are two short trails in the park, including one that goes out to the dam.

We had a beautiful waterfront site. The sites are large, all open and about 50 ft apart but are placed at angles that make them feel like you aren't camping in your neighbors yard. The sites all have level, concrete pads. It was nice and quiet while we were there. The only downside was that the Mayflies that hatch out and swarm only once or twice a year and last for 1 - 2 weeks hatched out the day after we arrived there! Thank heavens we had just purchased a Clam pop-up screened enclosure. The rate we paid reflects the Senior Pass. Water/Electric/Dump station. The laundry facility is at the back of the restrooms on the loop farthest from the water and the showers are only divided by shower curtains. The bathrooms closer to the water sites are newer and the showers are all individual. Very friendly, helpful hosts.

We came at the right time. Day/night temps mid to high 70’s/low to mid 50’s. The Argentine ants are practically nonexistent this late in the year, but we still treated our campsite with Ortho Home Defense on a pretty regular basis. Our rate reflects the Senior pass.
The park is only about 30% full right now, which is ok with us. The sites are pretty spacious, level, and angled so as to provide some privacy. The majority are gravel. The bathrooms, showers, and laundry are nice and clean, and the water is hot. There is water and 30/50 amp at every site. The dump station is at the front gate. Most of the lakefront sites (Loops A & C) have great in-your-face views of the water, while Loop B has lesser views. All facilities are located in Loop B. There is a dock and a boat launch. There are lots of trees, but they don’t infringe upon the sites.
This place is a gem. The staff is great, the other campers are friendly, it’s serene and peaceful. The nearest town is Chattahoochee FL even though the campground is in GA. The nearest Walmart is 20 miles away in Bainbridge, but there is a Piggly Wiggly on Highway 90 in Sneads Fl about 5 miles west of the campground.
