Beauty, calm, tranquility. Some picnic tables and fire rings. Large space, good for solar panels, good for throwing the ball to dogs (!), and some hiking trails. Not only would I come back, but I hope to come back!

The grounds are wide, several are provided with a location for a fire pit and gives access to an outdoor toilet. The view of the stretch of water is beautiful, visible from several camping sites.

The place is designed to accommodate people with reduced mobility.
Tree cover, however, is not favourable to solar energy.

South of the main entrance (Road 55) at 650 ft, you can buy firewood. No entry by Shady City road. No facility to dispose of waste.

At first, they didn’t give the 50% off from Passport America. We had to go back the next day with the information to finally get the 50%. At this time of the year, the campsite is not busy. The wifi service works very well. They have a dog park, small lake with fountain and close to the camping there have hiking trails.

Arriving on a Saturday afternoon on a free site, it's always risky to have no space to settle. But we are lucky or it is because it is the low season but we had no difficulty to find a spot. The place is definitely a favorite for us. We reconnect with the starry sky, the Milky Way only sees on TV screens when we live near a large center. If you like the sound of the waves, the blazing sun is the place for you!
The locals meet on the beach were all very friendly and happy to share the fishing stories as this is really a place to fish.
We were a little tight in reserve of water and it is with regret that we stayed only two nights.

Parking is still a parking lot, of course, it's noisy. But as it is very well located, it's worth it. From I-10, easy access.We were worried about availability as we arrived on a Friday, but there is enough space. We opened our retractable extensions with no problem. We feel safe, the police station is just across the street.

our first stay here was last November. We left our fifth wheel in storage for the next 4 months. We were back this Friday, March 22nd. we are very satisfied with our stay. The owner is really nice. You can take a nice walk around the lake. the wifi is good. Services, like the grocery store, are nearby. The only inconvenient is that it is noisy, but it is the disadvantage of the quality.

Arrival on the site late afternoon yesterday, we take place on the charming campground and we reserve the visit of the cave for the next day.

Of all the caves I have visited so far, this one is certainly the most ample, very impressive. At US $25 entry per person however, it is still a bit expensive. It is a place that wants to be family and magic.

Modest family camping at a competitive price with the Passport America. Ideal for an overnight. We underline the excellent service and availability of the owner. The wifi works enough for basic needs.

We choose a KOA as we go to McDonald's: we expect a standard. Cement and level grounds are appreciated, but it's a tight, the entrance is not easy to find and the dog park is non-existent. We hear what seems to be gunshots all night long. But the staff are helpful and a long cycle path nearby is appreciated.
