Joe Kurz Campground

Beauty, calm, tranquility. Some picnic tables and fire rings. Large space, good for solar panels, good for throwing the ball to dogs (!), and some hiking trails. Not only would I come back, but I hope to come back!

Joe Kurz Wildlife Management Area is a "free**" campground outside Gay, Georgia. Great campground with tons of room and great spots for solar. Wonderful hunting and fishing right off your campsite.

Quiet section of primitive camp sites. I guess you could pull up where you'd like but there are four or five picnic tables for "official" spots.

Pond looks like it has some small fishing. Trails for hunters to walk are not the usual trails a hiker would expect.

When we arrived here, we were the only ones for about 10 days. some locals came and left mostly to walk the dog on the trails. We had good solar sun but we were parked in the shade. really good for riding bikes. The Ranger or sheriff came by once a week. They did check our fishing license. Site is on a hill. Half of places are flat. Good for RV air tents.
