Well maintained grounds, clean showers, very crowded all the time. We were surprised at how full it was well after Labor Day when we arrived. Lots of moving between sites for longer stays - they call it the “Winchester Shuffle”. People can book up to a 3 month stay a year in advance and spots are hard to come by most of the time. Quiet — unless you happen to be there on a Saturday and want to watch a movie or have lunch inside or watch your college football team in the Marine Activity Center, forget it! The CG hosts are instructed to put on the Ducks or Beavers game VERY LOUDLY, even if you are already there. They don’t kick you out explicitly, but unless you like someone else’s loud football & yelling/screaming ruining your conversation or game, you may as well throw in the towel and move on. This is the Marina policy per the CG front office.

We were pleasantly surprised to find this friendly, full service RV park in a quiet residential area in Northern New Mexico. We had a nice level spot and totally enjoyed the spotless bathrooms with great water pressure and lots of hot water. The owner, Dale, went above and beyond after we left something behind to make sure it gets to us on the road. All the staff & fellow RVer’s were extra helpful and friendly. Propane refill was easy to access. Would not hesitate to stay here again and we appreciated the EXCEPTIONAL customer service.

We were favorably impressed by this FREE camping spot right off Hwy. 50 near Great Basin NP. It was easy to find and no issue with access from the road. We had a 30 ft MH with toad and didn’t want to unhook for one night, so we just picked a pull through on the lower level, never even went to the upper level. The sites were pretty level and each had a shade cover with table, but it was so windy we just hunkered down for the afternoon/evening. The only negative was the trash receptacle which was overflowing when we got there and was even more so the next morning, I noticed people not staying in the park pulling off the highway to dump their trash. They should consider another receptacle or more frequent pickups or both. I would definitely stay here again, the views were spectacular!

This was our second visit and the good news is that it is still a well-maintained older urban park with friendly & helpful staff and a chill vibe due to NO KIDS ALLOWED! The bad news is that the town has grown south and the road noise on 6 lane Cerrillos Blvd. has increased exponentially. It’s really a problem with street racing and loud unmufflered vehicles late into the night. Not the park’s fault, but something to be aware of if you are a light sleeper so ask for a site away from the street. The other problem is that the park allows commercial RV washing/detailing all day long from morning through dinner hour. It’s a bummer to be chased inside by the added noise of a LOUD air compressor for an hour or so while a neighboring rig is being detailed. Sites are nicely spaced and very well kept. Showers & laundry are spotless! WiFi spotty & slow, needed booster.

Pros: easy access to the RV park from Hwy. 12 or 24; good showers; well-maintained; friendly staff; level sites; nice landscaping. Noise from the highways not an issue, esp. at night.
Cons: late night check in policy - we had an empty space next to us until about 9:30PM when an RV pulled in and proceeded to slam doors, makes lots of noise and keep a bright outside light on shining into our rig while they set up. They left at 11PM and then came back at MIDNIGHT and proceeded again to make noise and light up their spot until about 2AM - yes, that is 2AM the middle of the night. The park can’t do anything about rude and inconsiderate people, but maybe the late night/after dark check in policy needs some re-thinking. Not sure whether I would revisit this RV park if you can’t count on a peaceful night’s sleep.

We have visited this RV park a few times over the years, including 2 visits in 2022 and the last visit in late summer 2022 was surprisingly disappointing. The host was unwelcoming and unhelpful to the point of being rude. The bathrooms, which are usually spotless, were dirty and smelled like urine and/or musty - depending on the time of day. The laundry is outrageously expensive - $20 for 4 loads, but the machines are clean and a couple are fairly new. There are only 2 washers and 2 dryers, so if you are doing lots of loads, expect to spend a few hours. You can only do laundry when the office is open as you need a key and must pay the host with cash or check - the machines are not coin operated. The food truck on the grounds has yummy fish and chips. The sites are pretty tight as you must share the electric/water posts on the driver's side and you will face your neighbor's patio door on the passenger side. Hopefully, you will get good neighbors because there is no privacy on either side. Motorhomes pull into the sites and trailers back in so you are alternating on the utility post. Not much else in the area with hook ups & laundry, so if that is what you need, this is the place.

This is a family oriented park with lots of bells & whistles like hotel/restaurant/hot tub access, playground, train depot, etc. If you aren’t taking the train or need the extras, then you pay a lot for a level parking lot spot close to your neighbors. We were desperate after a long drive and wanted a pull through without needing to unhook and close to town and this fit the bill. The bathrooms & laundry were very clean, but it took forever to get hot water in the shower, so don’t give up! Train noise not an issue. Front office staff friendly. Surprisingly busy on a cold April mid-week.

Stayed here 2 nights waiting out a big spring storm. Very big park with lots of sites. Easy access from I-80, the sites are level, widely spaced and our pull-through was on concrete. I think the back-ins are gravel. The bathrooms were spotless and had nice big shower stalls. Friendly staff. There are a lot of park models but they are all well kept. The only issue we had was noise - a lot of the residents must work at the mines and they all seem to drive very LOUD trucks and you can't miss when they drive in or out of the park. Not a big deal in the day, but at 2:30AM or 4AM or whenever their shift starts, it is pretty noticeable. Maybe recommend a space further away from the office building if you want to get less resident traffic at all hours, but you are further away from the showers/laundry.

This private RV park is located on top of a mesa a few miles outside of the town of Taos. The sites are close together, with no privacy or shade. There is a highway with lots of traffic, especially trucks, all day and night, so it was noisy. We were there in spring/summer and it was very windy, with lots of blowing dust from the dirt sites. It was too windy to even sit outside. We had very noisy neighbors working on their vehicles at 6AM and when we complained to the on-site host, he was very rude. We left early because of how we were treated.

All parks should be like this: no reservations, self-check in, pick your own spot, wide pull throughs, easy access from the street. Not too far from I-80, but NO road noise. Clean restrooms and big laundry. Well maintained and good size park, no issue staying over when we needed to hunker down due to bad weather (SNOW + WIND) in early May. Only negative was the pay showers - c'mon $40 for a site and I need to pay extra for a 3 minute shower which is not enough time to barely soap up! 50 cents for additional time. Otherwise, I highly recommend the park and would definitely stay here again, pay showers notwithstanding. Thanks to others for tip about Maverick gas right down the street - definitely good prices & easy in/out.
