We stayed here after our original camp site we had reserved was well, not what we thought it would be. We’ve always wanted to try a Love’s RV location and this did not disappoint. Great access, near the freeway but minimal noise. Full hookups and trash cans at the site. Site was paved and clean. We had a problem with the water at our site valve was damaged by the last guest. In less that 5 min, the Loves staff had us hooking up to the open site next to us. This really is what a “KOA journey” should be. Additionally, you get a full Loves at your stay. We fueled up the night we checked in and grabbed breakfast before we left. Perfect!

Newer park, very wide sites, well laid out and spacious. It’s a smaller park but that’s even better. Less foot traffic in the evenings. Office staff was very friendly and the view is great. The town area is a little lacking for restaurants, etc, but as an overnight stop, we would for sure recommend this park.

This is a basic, one night only, passing through town place to stay.

The positives
- Close to the freeway
- Decent/Good WiFi
- Paved city walking/biking trail next to the park

The negatives
- Close the the freeway - less than 250ft with minimal vegetation.
- Our premium site was unremarkable and as a bonus, one of the most expensive sites in the campground is next to the dump station. (See the photo for reference)
- The campground is more or less a gravel lot with small patches of grass except for the area directly next to the office and a few sparse trees around the park.

Rating downgrade only for the issue later in the review, otherwise this is a 5 star park all day long.

The KOA Leavenworth is a great park for most. It's KOA, so high density (small sites) and a lot of families and daytime noise but shockingly quiet after about 9pm.

Our site, 145, was in the newer section of the park. Full hookups and nice patio furniture and BBQ at the site. The landscaping was suffering from the late summer "burnt" effect, but that's hardly the parks fault in late summer.

Our only issue, and it's a big one (pun intended). Our rig is a 42' Super C that has the same wheel base of most 45' RVs. Whomever designed the expansion to the park felt it would be wise to make all the roads single lane (8' wide) and line all the corners with very very large granite boulders. Additionally, the new entrance driveway requires a hard right turn and is no more than the width of two vehicle lanes with boulders on either side and large curbs. This is okay for big rigs if you use both lanes to turn in, but the then they put a guard shack in the middle of the road not 50' in the park requiring a turn in that is greater than 90 degrees to turn in. The park probably doesn't have issues for 98% of guests, but it gives us great pause if we will return since multiple points in the park require backing up and pivoting to navigate the park.

There seems to be a pattern as of late in the KOAs we've stayed at. The premium sites are almost always at the outer edge of the park placed in the loudest possible places. In this particular KOA, the premium site, site 91, is placed about 30ft from "Dike Road". The road is a dirt/gravel road that runs atop the dike holding back the river. It is heavily traveled and as we learned, the local kids like to drive up and down the road on Friday nights with their stereo's extremely loud. This happened until about midnight about very 5 minutes or so.

For the site itself, sans the noise issue, the site was level, large and well laid out. Given the site was so far out, Wifi was limited, but cell service was decent. We would have far preferred a standard site in the shaded interior of this park.

Stayed here for our first trip of the season for our shake down trip. This is a nice clean KOA and what you would expect from a KOA.

The park is pretty far from any services and it is on the 101 highway, so you’ll need a car to venture beyond the park.

Our site was level and clean and about half way into the park. I could see road noise being an issue if you had one of the sites that directly backed up to the highway, but we didn’t notice it at all.

We stayed here to break up a long stretch in our road trip across the country and this was a shockingly good find. The park amenities are all well maintained, the park has been updated recently or is newer, WiFi and cel coverage was great and the staff was super friendly. I would highly recommend!

We stayed here for an overnight in our way to Indio for the winter. This was a really cool stop over and will become a regular on our travels.

The park is located in an orange grove. Working production groves behind the park and all of the sites in the park are lined with orange trees. They don’t create a huge amount of privacy but it is pretty cool. There are rules for which ones are ready to be harvested and those are posted at the office.

The site was big and easily accommodated us without having to disconnect our toad. It had full hookups and was clean with a picnic table at the site. Toward the back of the park is a washing station for cars and RVs.

Noise didn’t seem bad at all. Others have mentioned the trains but we didn’t notice them.

We stayed at Spring Creek for a total of 3 nights. Two in site 16 and one in site 61.

The park is well laid out with multiple stocked trout ponds for fishing as well as wide open grassy area's. Cell coverage was extremely limited and the park wifi was a bit iffy. The sites lacked sewer, but that's a byproduct of being able to be so close to the river. There is a dump station on site.

For the sites -

Site 16 - Touted as the best site in the park and they really aren't wrong. It's right on the river, about 6 feet out your front door. If you have young kids, something to keep in mind. The river was moving at flood stage so it was incredibly loud, this of course isn't the park owners doing so no take away on ratings for that. The only very minor complaint, the hookup for water/power is on the wrong site of the site so you need a very very long hose/power cord or you have to be very far forward in the site.

Site 61 - This is a great location, grassy, quiet and at the edge of the park. Well shaded, comfortable and very spacious.

The park is overall very nice, newer and well maintained. We have stayed here twice and both times been in the pull through sites in the middle. These are extremely tight if you have a big rig. You are parked two rigs side by side. I wasn't able to open the bin doors next to the water/sewer hookups even though our rig was as far over to the other side without being on the lawn.

Noise is moderate, the park is next to the highway. The neighborhood leaves a lot to be desired. Coming in late at night there was not a good vibe for the area. The park seems well lit, fenced and safe. The park seems to have a lot of long term residents. And the "river" sites are looking over a concrete drainage ditch. Not exactly a natural river flowing along.

If there are no other options, we'd stay here again. That said, we'll probably try a few other parks before booking again.
