The staff was very helpful and even gave us some coffee when we realized we were a bit short. They also have every amenity you can imagine - full hookups, clubhouse, laundry, workout room, etc. They are also set amid an orange grove and every spot has a tree, but the oranges weren't in season so couldn't be picked. All spots were extremely level and had pull throughs making it very easy to navigate. My biggest complaint was the noise from traffic, trains that ran all night as well as a squeaky oil derrick that runs 24/7. It was so loud I had to turn on my sleep machine to help drown it out. We would only stay here again if other places were full.

There aren't many people here this time of year, for good reason. It's 111 degrees outside on this late June day. I asked the nice lady at the front desk how busy it was this time of year. Her answer? "This is a winter park."
So sadly I haven't had much time outside to appreciate what seems like a very nice park. What I can say is that the laundry and showers are clean. The WiFi is strong, and they have a pool. That plus full hook-ups for under $40 is a win in my book.
I would have appreciated a nicer play area. The small fenced in dirt lot has a few toys for the under-5 set, but school-age children won't find much appeal. I suppose they will be holed up in the coach using the A/C and the WiFi :)

We stopped here for one night on our way to Coarsegold/Yosemite. It is one of the cleanest parks I've stayed in. Level sites, two sewer connections, 50amp, and all the amenities you'll need. There is train and highway noise, but I didn't keep us from a good sleep. The sites are surrounded by orange trees and you are allowed to pick the oranges. The only real issue I had was our 3 interactions with the person working the front desk was less than spectacular. Sort of take your money and leave me alone attitude. However, I would definitely stay here again.

We stopped here for one night on our way to Palm Springs. The park was clean, no frills, level sites, two sewer connections, 50amp, and all the amenities you'll need. It's is uber cool parking in a real orange grove! There is train and highway noise, but I didn't keep us from a good sleep. The sites are surrounded by orange trees and you are allowed to pick the oranges.
We did not use any of the amenities but would definitely stay here again.

We've stayed at this RV park quite a few times over the years and our experiences have always been pleasant ones. This park is situated in an orange grove and there are still lots of trees in the park from which you are welcome to pick fruit in season - January and early February. We always fill up a couple of bags and enjoy fresh oranges for a week or more after we leave.
Everything in the park is well kept and clean. There are very nice restrooms, showers and laundry facilities. The office offers free coffee and donuts in the morning. WiFi is pretty good throughout the park. Propane and a dump station are available. Although there is some distant train and freeway noise, it's by no means a deal breaker for us.
We usually opt to take a water and electric site to save a few bucks and dump our holding tanks on the way out.

This is an attractive RV park that is actually in an orange grove! You can literally reach out your window and pick oranges, and you can pick as many as you want. We happened to be there when the oranges were ripe so we took advantage of the luscious gems. The staff was very nice although check-in was a bit slow. Interior roads are easy to navigate. Our site was long and level consisting of fine gravel. Yes, you do track it inside your rig so shoes off is a good motto. There is some separation between sites due to the placement of the orange trees. The WII FI worked off and on, getting very slow at times. Directv satellite worked fine. Verizon had 4g and 2 bars. There is a pool table on the upper level of the main office which we enjoyed. The main ding is the NOISE. The park is right off CA 99/58 and Edison road so there is near constant road noise. To add more entertainment, there are nearby trains that sound like they are running right through the park. Seriously, it was hard to get a good nights sleep. The other detraction is not their fault as it exists outside the park, but it is unsettling – trash, trash and more trash. We have never been in such a dirty town. We counted 7 mattresses thrown on the side of the road in a 2-mile distance in addition to various and sundry other items tossed aside. Bakersfield needs to clean up in a bad way! We loved the RV park but the noise level was too much for our tender ears. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again.

It's been quite some time since we've stayed at Orange Grove RV. I'd forgotten just how spacious the sites are & how beautiful of a park (considering its California desert location) it is. Bakersfield has a couple of pretty nice parks. We often prefer to stay in town and this park is a little ways out. This trip I wanted to be able to leave the dinghy hooked up (which can be a problem at the in town parks we use) and be able to be as close to the Tehachapi summit as possible due to the prediction of strong winds. Our site was everything I needed. Very friendly young lady checked us in.

We have stayed here twice. Easy to find, check in was efficient, takes discounts. The spots are wide enough for a little of outdoor space and tow vehicle in front of rig. Cozy club house, donuts and coffee every morning starting at 7:00am. Bathrooms clean, laundry facilities good
Many rigs pull in later in afternoon and gone by 8am, here to spend one night on the way to arizona, located off of Hwy 58. .
The first time we stayed in space 39, and you could barely hear the road. When we came thru 2 weeks later the beginning of Feb,in space 5, every one was squished into the overflow (even though there were open sites on the other side of the park) next to the very busy road all nite long with big trucks. Very noisy all nite long. Free wifi, good reception, nice pool.

While the sites don't have very much in the way of visual privacy between rigs, the park is expansive and feels very wide open. There is a sizable amount of space between spots, and of course the beautiful orange trees that dot the landscape are delightful.
Accessibility to the park, as well as navigating within the park was exceptional.
The dog park was small, but had grass and was very clean.

We had planned to stop for just one night at Orange Grove RV Park but ended up extending our stay two extra days. My computer was dead so we needed a landing spot close to civilization before heading to Death Valley. Bakersfield had a Best Buy, Costco and several computer repair businesses. While there are campgrounds closer to the city, Orange Grove RV Park was close enough and we really enjoyed our stay here. Big props for the decent wifi as I ended up needing to set up a new computer including downloading updates and files.
The sites are huge pull-throughs, each with a picnic table and orange trees. Guests are welcome to pick fruit in season. During our stay the trees were in bloom and the whole park smelled heavenly. The park has a section for monthly rentals and caters to the snowbird crowd. By mid-April much of the park was empty. They offer plenty of amenities – a store, clubroom, BBQ pavilion, activities, a fenced doggie area and an off-leash dog park. I was impressed with the DIY RV/car wash area (no extra charge!) and multiple restroom/shower/laundry areas. Everything was impeccably clean and working!! There’s a propane filling station too.
There is some road noise and the nearby train can be loud, especially in the evening. Make the short walk to the California Fruit Depot where you can sample dozens of fruits, nuts, candies and snag a date shake. Yep, that a thing here. 😊
We had 2 bars of Verizon 4G unboosted, but never needed it as the wifi was excellent.
