I stayed here 11/4/23 and 11/5/23. My site was very nice. Each bathroom has a shower in it, and they were very clean. The whole park was well kept. Teri called me that morning to make sure she would be there to greet me when I arrived so that if I had any questions she could answer them. Every Saturday they have a get together in the pavilion for campers. The park is in easy reach to see the sights of San Antonio, and the area around the lake is nice for walking.

Clean and well kept. People are friendly and very helpful. Restrooms/Showers are newly remodeled and very nice. They mentioned they’re starting to upgrade a section of the rv sites soon too. Dog run is big with nice grass, benches, and dog toys. The location is close to lots of attractions and they gave me a packet of info on the attractions. There is some road noise but it wasn’t excessive. I’m just passing through but this is definitely a place I’ll stay at when I come back on vacation.

I stayed overnight 8/24. Laundry prices are very good ($2/wash, $1.50/dry). The shower room has a nice place to put your stuff while you shower. Pull-through gravel site was level. The whole campground is very clean and quiet. The staff I met were nice. The only bad thing is the two roads leading into the campground are narrow.

I didn’t stay here but used their showers ($5), dump station ($11), water refill ($6), and got propane the last week of May 2023. Was pleased with how nice the staff are and how clean everything was. The RV lots look generously sized. Their posted per night price was$45

I stayed from 8/13 to 8/18. Beautiful state park with lots of hiking trails, a beach, fishing, and a small marina. You have to check in at the marina before you can go to your campsite. The person who checked me in was very nice. All of the RV sites are pull through. There’s a gas station about 2 miles away.
The downside is they don’t state online that non-electric sites are tent only, and the pit toilets are not well-maintained.

I spent 2wks here (6/27 to 7/10) With my Americas Beautiful pass it was only $7.50/night for one of the single sites (no discount on double sites). Too many flies, but clean and well maintained. Camp host was very nice and helpful. Beautiful area with trails starting at the campground, and lots of birds, bunnies, etc near my spot. Easy drive to civilization, with a gas station nearby. Cheyenne WY was a fast 60 miles away (worth the trip). I was sorry to leave but it was time to continue my trip.

I stayed three nights. The dry camping spots were hard to find so the first night I was in a spot with electricity. Electric spot was $37/night ($25 + $12 park pass). Dry camping was $27/night ($15 + $12 park pass. Dry camping is at SE end of the campground where fisherman put their boats in. The lake is no longer dried up, and very pleasant to sit out on the fishing piers (posting pics). It got very busy with both campers and day use as it neared the weekend.

I stayed here from 8/24 to 9/1 2023. Yes, the sites are a little close together as the other review mentioned, but there’s room between them. The park is a place for families with playgrounds, disc golf, educational areas, fishing, a beach, and trails of varying difficulty. The staff who came by are all very nice, and the bathrooms always very clean. Some areas are closed off to motor vehicle traffic, but they’re easy walks down the road. The only issue I encountered while I was there was the road to the beach was closed, and that’s where the shower is. I had to park at a nearby pavilion and walk down to get a shower. There’s plenty of room for big rigs and access is paved. Shopping is available in Kittanning 8 miles away. I had a wonderful time there, and would absolutely stay again when I’m in the area.

I stayed here 10/15/23 to 10/20/23. It was off-season for them, and very quiet. The woman who runs the office is very nice, and even suggested a restaurant I enjoyed trying. The shower rooms have the potential to be fabulous, having a toilet sink in the shower in each private room. The problem was that even though they had a cleaning lady come every day, she wasn’t cleaning them. The public restroom was cleaner than the bathhouse for campers. In two of the rooms, the toilets had the same cleaning issues the entire time I was there. None of the sinks were wiped out. I cleaned one of the rooms (sink/toilet) one morning before my shower, then just always used that same room while I was there.
I stayed 9/4 to 9/8 2023. Clean and well run. No cell service but you can park by the booth at the entrance and use their Wi-Fi. Nice little creek ran behind my spot with a trail to it. Beautiful views. The side of each site’s parking slopes down so you’ll want to be careful backing in
