Donation of $1 for dump. No potable water.
Big campground with quite a few loops. I stayed in the dry camping area and had some privacy. The loops with hookups are pretty close together. Good spot for exploring the eastern side of Cape Bretton.

Great spot for an overnight! It's just a parking lot, but it's right next to the action and everyone was super chill. Lots of RVs, Vans, pickups. I felt safe and loved that it was free!

The road in is good, paved most of the way. It rained the night before and the campground was filled with huge mud holes. Very small, wpuldnt recommended anything over 20ft. No Verizon signal.

This is a SUPER crowded parking lot with electric hookups. I'm in a small Airstream and was surrounded by 5th wheels with slides that were almost touching me. That said, it was $15 and I was able to have the A/C on during the hot, humid weather. Every other park nearby was full and more expensive. If you're just looking for a place to park while you explore the area, this is the spot. (Unless you need to work, in which case you'll need a better spot for service.)
I was surprised at how nice this place was. Definitely not private, but spots are fairly spread out. Sites are on the grass and only have electric. Place was only half full on a Friday night. Free showers and laundry can't be beat!

I arrived at 5:30 on a Wed and it was very full. Luckily, some nice folks let me squeeze in beside them. Pretty quiet and great view of the city lights. Really easy road in to the trailhead with multiple spots. There's also some really good spots past the trail head, but you definitely need 4wd and I would not attempt a trailer. It's really just one gnarly turn with HUGE holes. If you can get past that turn, the road is great.

This spot was stunning! Right on the water! Very small campground and first-come, first-serve. Larger rvs not allowed. My 16 ft fit perfectly on the cliff edge. No hookups and can get very, very windy. But absolutely worth it!! Perfect basecamp for exploring and phenomenal views!

Great spot right on the river. Excellent Verizon signal for meetings and video downloads. My spot had stairs down to the river. Perfect for my lab! Good walking spots too. Showers were clean. Definitely had traffic noise, but you don't stay at a KOA if you want peace and quiet. I would absolutely stay here again if I'm ever passing through.

Needed to top my batteries off after a while of boondocking in the cold rain up higher. This place is a typical city campground, very tight spots. But, the showers and laundry were great. All sites have full hookups and the folks that work here are nice. Great big dog park! Definitely noisy with the road and the steam train going by. If you need hookups while you explore Durango and the area, this is a good spot to do so. Couldn't get on the wifi, but Verizon was 22 down/10up.
*Edit: A little annoying that a worker came and knocked on my door at 10 reminding me to leave. Check out is 11. He then drove by 2 more times. If they want people out at 10, they should change the check out time.
