This campground is very small and designed for tent campers. There are maybe 3-4 spots that will fit a small trailer. I wouldn't go over 20 ft though. No Verizon service. Beautiful, short walk to the rim. Absolutely recommend!

I originally booked 2 nights here so I could check out town. I ended up staying 5! This place is really wonderful! Sites are super tight, but the proximity to the water and town is totally worth it! It is a 2-3 minute walk to the main part of town with amazing restaurants and cool shops. My first day I saw a bald eagle, newborn baby seal, and lots of other animals. The boat traffic and lighthouse action is also really fun! It is a little pricy, but worth it! Bathrooms/Showers were really clean too!

This location was wonderful! Right in the center of town, walking distance to everything. As others have mentioned, the spots are close but seemed to be pretty on par with other city campgrounds I've stayed at. I will say that the bigger rigs were closer than us little guys. If you're using this as a basecamp for your exploring you should be fine. The woman at the front was extremely nice and helpful, bathrooms/showers were really clean. I was able to work with my Verizon hotspot using my booster. Couldn't get on to the campground wifi.

Perfect spot to set up so you can explore the Hood River area (only a few minutes from town)! My spot (72) was tucked back in the trees, across from the river. Sweet little trail down to the water, and space for the pup to swim safely. No hookups, but they did let me fill my water when I was leaving. Showers were pretty gross, but water pressure was good and it was only $1.50 for 6 minutes! I originally planned for two nights, but kept extending. If the heat wave hadn't arrived, I'd still be there!

I stayed here for a few weeks in January. Big, private spots with good signal from Verizon. I have a TX State Park pass so I didn't have to pay the daily entrance fee. Worth buying it if you're in the state for more than 7 days. I stayed in a few spots because I couldn't get last minute reservations over the weekends. 56 was the best! I wouldn't recommend 85 or 59. They have a weird shape that puts you right in the others yard. All other spots were private. Didn't use the bathrooms. Trails were nice and the water was great! Super close to downtown. $20/day this close to the city and this spread out is wonderful!

Really pretty spot right on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I was there the last weekend of the season so it was mostly empty. I stayed in T13 up top and it was wonderful! There was no one near me. If it's summertime I would definitely recommend going to the other loops, those spots are more spread out. Definitely not a space for big rigs. I have a 16ft with a 4Runner and just fit. There are a few spots that might fit a bigger rig, but not many. The camp host was super friendly and they had music around the fire on Saturday night. Verizon service was fine without my booster, but I would have needed it for video calls.

Small city park with electric/water. Needed a spot to plug in due to the Texas summer heat. Just a few sites, super close together. With the air on I couldn't hear anyone else. Cute little lake with a trail for morning walk with the pup. First come, first serve. I arrived at 7:30 and got one of the last spots. Worth the $15 to survive the summer night (95 with humidity at 9PM)!

This spot was a fine place to explore Newport but WAY overpriced. I was there in the off season so it was $65 a night, but even that was much more than it should be. Spots were fine and there is a city dog park and trails right there. I had plenty of Verizon signal to work without my booster. The bathrooms were gross and the motion light turned off while I was in the shower. If it was a more reasonable price I would recommend it, but the crazy upcharge it too much.

This place has so much potential! It's right on Lake Erie and is in wonderful shape. But it is right in between a coal plant and a nuclear plant. People were swimming in the water, but I was hesitant. If I didn't look anywhere but at the water it was a perfect spot! Clean, free showers. Fine for an overnight, but I wouldn't spend a lot of time here.

I was excited about this spot due to the mineral springs and the closeness to Palm Springs, so I booked a two week stay. I ended up leaving after 3 days. The site I was in had huge holes all around and in the center, making it very difficult to get my small rig in. When I let the staff know, they said not to worry, they knew my dog couldn't have done it that quickly. No offer to move or fill the holes, which maybe is my fault because I'm not an aggressive complainer. The concrete pad was broken and missing chunks. The neighbors dog barked non-stop and I could hear every word of the other neighbors movie. The pools were a couple of rows away, but everything echoed and it was very busy so loud all the time too. I had high hopes for the showers since on the surface they looked nice. Unfortunately, they were just as disgusting as the rest of the place. Really, really gross. I don't typically stay in rv parks and so maybe this is the norm, but it was pretty awful. The manager that the Google reviews rave about complained about other staff and guests every time I talked to her. Maybe that was part of the really terrible vibe of the place? Verizon signal was 2 up and 1 down so unusable for working. I'd skip this place and check out one of the many, many other parks around!
