Great stopover between Amarillo & Ft Worth. Small fee but well worth it to run ac all night on a hot Texas night. 5 spots with hookups. Each has its own picnic table and pad. Lots of grills in the adjoining park. Super quiet. Small pond with paved trail. Quick and easy off the interstate and much better than the super crowded Walmart parking lot.
Nice quiet place beautiful park setting only 5 spots with power and water back in only. Stayed here going and coming. Would stay again.
Great stop! We were the only ones there. Had 50 amp. and water. No dump station but was great for the price. As we pasted Walmart observed it was very crowded with RVs and trucks. Nice City Park. We were there right after the first of the year so we were able to enjoy their Christmas decorations.
Clean and well-maintained park, great for an overnight stay. Only 5 spots and we were lucky to get the last one when we pulled in at 8pm. Not sure if the area merits a longer stay. Electric hookup and water. Near the water so bring bug spray. One portapotty that appeared clean.
We stopped here for a night. Got a spot of two left even after 8 pm. Easy to back in for the spot. Nice surroundings with trees and walk path around the lake. Loved being able to walk the dogs. However, did not realize there was a train track nearby and it would blow the horn all night. Even with ear plugs I heard it. I liked that is was clean. Even a port a potty for those without a bathroom.
Woke up to a peaceful morning. Walked the puppies and enjoyed breakfast. Well cared for lawn and lake area. Second time here and it is well worth the $15 donation to have water, electric, and trash. Some sites have 50 amp that is not functioning but they are marked with signs.
Loved our 1 night stay.
Beautiful park and lake.
50 amp was all we needed and used.
Would definitely stay again.
Any length rv will fit easily
Plenty of room for big rigs. First come first serve 5 Back in spots with W&E for $15. Max 3 night stay. Cute little park with fishing pond, 9 holes of disc golf and walking paths. We had one quick overnight neighbor during our 2 night stay. Can walk to a few quick serve restaurants in downtown Childress. Some train noise at night but not enough to keep me awake.
I called to make sure it was open since the one in Memphis, TX that I normally stay at was closed due to Covid19. They confirmed it was and is first come first served. I arrived about 4PM and was the only one there at the time. They had a portapotty as an option if you need it. As you come in there is a lockbox to pay your $15. All sites have 30 and 50 amp along with water and a covered picnic table. Nice large ponds with friendly ducks nearby with a walking trail. Stayed there in a class C and later that evening a class A pulled in. All sites are back in. Great place to stay as you travel thru, there is a 3-day limit.
We stopped here for an overnight on a drive to Colorado. It's a great, cheap alternative to Walmart with water/electric for $15/night.
