“Waterfront RV Park”

Point Hudson has a waterfront RV park with 46 full hook-up sites and two sites without hook-up.  Well behaved, leashed pets are welcome.  Office hours as above, with self-registration after hours.  Check-out time is no later than noon. The RV park is located adjacent to the shore just to the east of the Point Hudson Marina.  During your stay, you will be able to enjoy long walks from your doorstep to the historic lighthouse at Point Wilson, where the world’s shipping enters the Puget Sound by way of Admiralty Inlet.  If you are also bringing a boat or planning to use one of the local seafaring businesses in Port Townsend, this is the most convenient base for your adventures. While you are here, you will be only a short stroll from the many world-class restaurants in town, as well as the activities and shops that make this the destination of choice for people from all over the world.  The relaxed pace of life here, coupled with our ideal location, make this one of the most desirable RV parks in the Northwest. For your convenience,  access-controlled guest shower, toilet and laundry facilities are located on the property.  Wi-Fi and cable are available for a fee. Beach fires and campfires are not allowed within Port Townsend’s city limits or on Port of Port Townsend properties.

Location is great as it's very close to the waterfront and also to the town so walking around is very easy. Lots of amenities with full hookups available and pet friendly too!

We adore Port Townsend and you just couldn't find a better located RV park for exploring the city. You can bike or walk from the campground to town...plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. We especially love the two dry camping spots that have a view of the marina AND the Sound (360/361) but there are plenty of waterfront hookup sites too.

The website and the customer service during booking leaves a bit to be desired...their website and phone system were down for a week or so once when we were trying to make a reservation (!!!). Seems like they have a new website now though, so perhaps this was just a transitional difficulty. :)

RV sites are situated on the point, many directly adjacent to the water, plenty with unobstructed views, and all (even the ones they say have no views) at least have a partial view. There are two separate sections to the park — those on the the west side in the "loop", which are all lined up in a row and face the Sound, and those on the East side, where some a more scattered, and have views of the sound and/or the port. The two dry sites are two of the best — a huge amount of space and a good split view of town and the port. Rates actually range from $20 (dry) to $35 (full hook-ups, not premium view), to $52 for the Premiums sites. The rate I listed about was an average, as I spent half my time in a non-premium site and half in a dry site.

Sort of strange setup in the West loop — campers seem to park in both directions to optimize view, which can make hookups slightly confusing, but it looks like they've installed multiple sewer hookup options, and some with split inlets to cover all bases, so you won't have trouble with sewer, but you might need a long water hose/electric cord depending which way you choose to part.

If saving money is a priority for you, and the dry sites are not an option, I highly recommend site #349 in the "back loop". It's the less expensive price, as you're situated behind the front row of RV's, but because you're on the end, you still have a great view from the side, a lovely shade tree, all framed by the gorgeous flower garden from the B&B next door. From that site, I also had an unobstructed view of the sound out of at least 3/4 of my front window (and, actually, for most of the stay, there was no one at all parked in front of me).

Spotless white subway-tiled bathrooms/showers, but it's 25 cents for each minute-and-a-half.

The locations is also just a block (and a scenic walk) away from downtown, with lots of great dining, coffee and shopping options. There's a farmer's market uptown twice a week that's a walkable. And there's one of the best co-op grocery stores I've ever been to about a 5-minute drive away.

We wanted to be in Port Townsend in late April, and it can be blustery. We are cozy in our room with a view. We’re right by the beach, and have walked into town a few times. This is a perfect combo of beach camping and the town’s galleries and other amenities. I’m in a Class B, space 325.

We've stayed here numerous times on our own and for the festival, and it remains a fav. Cost was much higher this trip due to the festival, but my wife had to work it and it beat a motel room or daily 3 hour RT comute. Plus, we had one of the best spots in the park for beach front view and privacy. (we've been wishing for this site for years) A busy weeknd of course as this is an outstanding and well organized event each year.

A little tight through downtown main street, but overall easy access for even the largest rig. Plan those right turns wide and oversteer if you're towing. All spots are dirt / gravel and all but about 3 have FHU's. Sites are level, and while the weather was perfect all weekend this trip, we have been there for wind and rain events in the past. There is a risk of puddles in some sites and if the wind is blowing you may be rockin if you're out on the point. Mostly a winter time frame for high wind tho. There is little to no privacy at many of the spots on the point, but some there, and all on the back loop are large. Other than 3 sites, there is no shade and everything is wide open. Other's comments that its basicly a large dirt lot with FHU's is not unfair. There is some grass tho. Walking is level and town is steps away with resturants, shops and galleries. There are 3 resturants in the park, but like the nearby downtown biz, hours vary by season. Safeway, banks and other biz are all within 10 min drive. Many other spots to visit, hike or boat within a few minutes to a couple of hours, so day trips are easy and plentiful yearound. They did allow extended stay as I recall, but only on the back loop I think. Some of the rigs appeared aged, but it's always been peacful and respectful. No fires or tents allowed. Never had an issue with propane fire pits or grills tho. Pets allowed, on leash to protect wildlife. Signage explains it. This is not well enforced, but as long as your pet isn't harrasing the wildlife complaints seem unlikely. Clean pay showers and free restrooms. All with secure entry. Free,ok open WiFi. Signal was flaky at times, but hey, it's free. Other than during the festival it's always quiet here, and even then its quiet overnight. CBP and WFWS office's on-site if you need them for any reason. Park and marina are owned by the port and they have a website for rez. This will continue to be an often returned to spot for us.

I originally booked 2 nights here so I could check out town. I ended up staying 5! This place is really wonderful! Sites are super tight, but the proximity to the water and town is totally worth it! It is a 2-3 minute walk to the main part of town with amazing restaurants and cool shops. My first day I saw a bald eagle, newborn baby seal, and lots of other animals. The boat traffic and lighthouse action is also really fun! It is a little pricy, but worth it! Bathrooms/Showers were really clean too!

We must admit we probably have the best spot on the campground… lucky us ;-)
But I believe all sites have some view on the bay or harbour. You can walk into town or watch boats go in and out the marina. We even saw sea otters play around.
We enjoy the full hook up as well.

We camped here one of our first trips in 2016. I don’t remember the price but I believe it was about $50 a night. There are two restaurants across the street by the marina. It is a short walk (about 3blocks) to the town of Port Townsend. A real don’t miss destination!

We stayed here strictly based on the review "lng" posted that was featured in the best campground email we received a few weeks back. I saw the photo and read the review and immediately started checking for availability of the waterside spots. After trying for quite a few days I was able to book two nights at site 305 and we absolutely loved it. The view was amazing.
The town is great and has some great spots to eat but I can honestly say we fell in love with the view and will be back.

We made our reservations based on the reviews here on Campendium! They were totally accurate. We are on a 3 month PNW tour. Site 307 is right on the water with incredible views of the sound, the ferry, boats coming and going from the marina, and the snowcapped mountain chains of the Cascades and Olympics. During our 5 day stay (which was too short) we took the ferry to Whidbey to see Deception Pass. Highly recommend. We also enjoyed food from Doc's Grill and Hudson Point Cafe. Both Delish. We also did laundry. Clean facilities and were not out of line in cost. Venturing into town we enjoyed the In Between bar. Super fun cocktails. If you need anything RV wise Henery Hardware store was super helpful. I highly recommend this CG for its amenities, views, friendliness, and location. The sites are pretty close but level and easy to find. The wind does kick up, watch out for those gale warnings especially in site 307. Makes for a rocky night.

Happy Camping
