Easy access from highway. Good WiFi. Great store - firewood delivered to your space. They even have food delivery if you don’t feel like cooking for the family they’ll do it for you = and deliver it to your site. Mini golf area for kids and clean area for dogs. Excellent campground.
We are staying here in a Wednesday in late August and there are quite a few seasonal sites plus about 30 other sites in use. They have a great camp store and good grill food that is very reasonable. It is close to the interstate so there is some road noise. There are about 10 sites that line the creek. There is a good size dog park and several walking paths by the creek.
The sites are fairly large and they all have concrete patios. We had no issues leveling here.
We like the park and the location and have already booked a creek side site for our return trip this fall.
Oddly there is a fenced in area with 3 goats and an old guillotine of a trail near the tent section ? The goats seemed to be pets as they had collars and leashes.

We arrived after hours, our info packet was waiting for us in a box at the office door. Staff was super friendly, spaces are kinda close bathrooms/showers were very clean.
Store has lots of goodies, beer, coffee, made to order food etc.
This was our first stop in our maiden voyage. Easy to get to off interstate, right near the road so there is/was some traffic noise but nothing to bad.

Decently laid out, good cell service, decent food made on-site an delivered to your site.
Good water pressure, good cell service, and well groomed sites. It's everything I expect for $50 a night. The food prices are quite reasonable and we enjoyed what we got. Being able to grab breakfast on the run was soooo worth it.
It's right off of I-81 and there are two nearby gas stations with the best prices in the area for diesel.
If you don't mind spending the cash, this is definitely a place to check out. Be warned, if you reserve for a holiday weekend, you have to prepay in full and there are no cancellations allowed. Beyond that, enjoy!

Super clean bathrooms, excellent fried chicken. Nice, though no picnic table on our site for some reason (possibly bec its off season?). We were also charged an additional $3 because we arrived 45 minutes early. Great location beside Swatara Creek and Swatara State Park. No need to drive to the park as you can walk or bike right from your campsite to the park’s trails. Dog park was a nice touch for our two dogs. Dogs are allowed on all sites!

Great spot right on the river. Excellent Verizon signal for meetings and video downloads. My spot had stairs down to the river. Perfect for my lab! Good walking spots too. Showers were clean. Definitely had traffic noise, but you don't stay at a KOA if you want peace and quiet. I would absolutely stay here again if I'm ever passing through.

A staff member greets you at the front gate, checks you in and leads you to your site. There are lots of trees and most are trimmed; however, we did snag a couple on turns when we left. The sites are gravel and dirt, and they could definitely use more gravel. We were in a “deluxe” site. A pull thru with a brick fire pit, a couple of adirondack chairs and a glass topped table with 4 chairs. All the chairs and table were dirty. This was not a $95 deluxe site IMO. The site was plenty long enough for a 45 MH and tow vehicle, and we did not need to unhook. Sites are nearby with some grass and trees between sites. There is no privacy. Some sites have more space between them than others. Some sites are on Swatara Creek. It’s a pretty wide for a creek and a big attraction for swimming and kayak/canoe. Sites on the creek are parallel parked (head to toe not side to side). Be prepared for lots of mosquitoes. This KOA attracts many weekend warriors and kids (there are many activities for them). There is lots of stirred up gravel dust when cars/RVs go by. We didn’t try the WiFi as it has very limited access. They also have cable but we didn’t try it. It is very noisy from I-81 and Lickdale Road with loads of souped up trucks. They have an on-site deli that serves wings, salads, sandwiches and burgers. They also have Turkey Hill ice cream in all sorts of flavors and sundaes. The store is fairly well stocked with RV items as well as grocery essentials. There are a couple of fast food restaurants within walking distance. There are also a couple of gas stations. Good Verizon coverage.
