A solid campground which would likely be better if you knew which sites to choose. Some of the sites are weird double sites without stating so. A second camper came into their site which was right next to ours and we could have literally handed grey poupon out our window into their window. As it was shoulder season there were many open sites so they moved to another open site.

The sites along the river are fine however the river isn't really visible from the sites and definitely not accessible. Being close to the beach is nice.

Off Season Availability was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. They gave us a selection of sites to choose. Our site was non- electric, level and short distance to shower house. Shower was clean and comfortable. Sites and drives are gravel. Sites range in size and service levels from non-electric to FHU. Ours was $28.50 for one night. There is a beach, trails, dump station and water. The potable water spigot is non-threaded and will require a water bandit to fill your campervan.

Big campground with quite a few loops. I stayed in the dry camping area and had some privacy. The loops with hookups are pretty close together. Good spot for exploring the eastern side of Cape Bretton.

We spent 10 days in a full hook up site. Enjoyed this as a base for doing various hikes in the national park. I enjoyed a morning half mile walk along a wooded trail behind the campgrounds that lead to the ocean. The staff worked very hard all day long maintaining the restrooms, laundry room and fire pits. After Labor Day weekend which brought a lots of families, most of the campers were one or two night transients.

A few campground loops and each has slightly different characteristics. The serviced sites are spaced close together (parking lot style) for easy pull through a and setting up, the tent loop, (close to beach) are on grassy sites under trees with little privacy and the middle loop has vegetation between sites and spacious. We had nice site with no services and were across from bathhouse (flush toilets and showers). There is a small building with picnic tables with very slow WiFi.

Great spot on the coast with a beach and near lots of beautiful coastal trails. While showing some age, the facilities were very, very clean. The sites are a bit more open than we’d like; however, everyone is friendly.

There's nothing extraordinary about this campground. There's also nothing terrible about this campground. The full hook up sites are your typical grid pattern. It's a great location relative to things to do on the island. The place didn't wow me but it also didn't disappoint.

They need more washers and dryers. There were two for 200 sites. The men's restroom in our area was closed. Not sure what the deal was with maintenance.
