This site has the most beautiful view! Although it really only has room for 1 maybe 2 rigs. Basically it is a small loop (which is very unlevel) with one back in site. It would be hard to get anything over 30ft in here, unless you’re a pro at backing up. There are turn off’s along the road that people were camped in and they were even camped at the trail head which could hold 2-3 larger rigs.

So about a 1/4 mile down from the trailhead on the left hand side there is a large pull-thru site that is relatively level and could accompany a big rig.

We only stopped at the campground to dump and fill our tanks with water. The dump station was a prepay station, in which you swiped your card for $10 and it unlocked the lid to the sewer. They had rinse water as well as potable water. It was easy to find and easy to get in and out of.

This site is a must stay! It’s amazing! You are camping right on the water where else can you do that for free? The water is so beautiful and clear. It was the perfect place to get your kayaks and paddle boards out at. The beach was very clean of any kind of trash, a volunteer cleaned it every day. There was also a dumpster and put toilets. The road back to the site is about 5 miles and there are some blind turns and mildly steep hills. We had no problem getting there but we had to use our 4x4 to get out but only on one hill. The only downside to this place were the crazy coyotes but you can blame the people who not only feed them but all the ducks as well. We watched the coyotes come very very close to peoples campers in the morning. We were also told that they lured a Rottweiler out and killed it. So keep a close eye on your pets. To get cell service you walk all the way down the left of the beach, which honestly that’s were the best camping was it was always calm. There is also lots of hiking and exploring from the site.

Upon arrival we found out they recently have decided to start charging people to stay. It’s an $11 flat fee you can either stay 1 or 2 nights. We stayed 2 nights, we even dropped our fifth wheel and went to the Redwood Forest for a day and took the dogs to a near by dog park. The parking lot is level, safe, and quiet. Security comes around about 3 times a day and checks out everything. You have access to dump & water (I guess that could make up for the $11 fee).

We stopped here on our way to Duluth. We had a very pleasant experience, minus all the parking lot lights. We were also the only RV in the parking lot.

Not at all what we were expecting when we pulled in. It’s just a road (a kind of busy road) with pull off’s, you could adventure down a few dirt roads but even as we were walking them we only found 1-2 spots. The nice part of this site was you were a road over from town. So if you like being really close to town this is a good place for you!

This campground itself was huge! There were so many beautiful sites right on the water. Also there were amazing hiking trails right off the campground. The bath house and bathroom were older and a bit dirty but otherwise it was a great place to stay! We were lucky enough to see a Bald Eagle every morning! Also Len one of the volunteers was so kind and helpful!

The park was easy to find and the sites are all pull-thru facing a pond. All the sites are full hook-ups (water, 20/30/50 amp, and sewer). We had to use leveling blocks on one side of our fifth wheel. The park is just a grassy field with no privacy. And the park it’s self is not a park at all. No play equipment just 2 baseball diamonds.

The showers & bathrooms were absolutely disgusting!!!!! Bugs, mouse feces, garbage inside, not very hot showers, and the doors are hard to get shut. The laundry room was also very disgusting!

There is no one on duty because it is city ran. You have to make your reservation by phone.

The RV Park is located next to a small airport. At night we heard a few planes take off.
