We boondock exclusively and this was the oddest location we've ever been. There's tons of actual houses around, and being on top of the hill meant being in the wind the entire time. There was also a giant pile of human shit complete with toilet paper. We spent three days in fog here, followed by a pretty scary day with a tornado passing just East of us.

Internet is terrible across all providers. Not a place to come if you want to get work done. Plus it's kinda far away from all the things to do.

This was the first boondocking spot that we've ever abandoned for a campground.

The end of the road has barbed wire up now, so you can't make it to the reservoir. Henrys Lake IS open for dispersed camping.

This seemed to be the only logical location for boondocking outside of Sedona, at least that we found. We tried 525 Dispersed but that's pretty much large group sites and we typically like a more private setting.

Access was awful, but we took it slow and even with a low riding rig we still made it in and out without issues. And aside from the locals shooting guns daily, we enjoyed our stay here. Nice and quiet, good internet, and only 20 minutes into Sedona.

Hot air balloon companies also use this location as a landing zone! So if you're lucky, you might just have one landing in front of your rig like we did!

We stayed here a week exploring Dinosaur National Monument. With towers in the distance, we were getting 4 bars across Verizon and AT&T with Verizon winning out at about 20mbps, peaking sometimes to 50mbps. We actually stayed down further from this spot, right at 40.359848, -109.017821. Just a heads up, there's a fairly substantial dip and rise coming in. Our rig is lifted, so I'd be aware of that. If you can't get this spot, there's plenty up and down this road.

There's nothing much of importance in Dinosaur; in fact it's a little disappointing given their name. We found Vernal to be more of a dinosaur mecca than Dinosaur was. Do however stop into the visitor center, there's a lovely old man who would love to tell you about all the places to go see (not in Dinosaur). No grocery here, but there's a gas station, a liquor store, and three pot shops.

When here, we hiked Harpers Corner trail, and the Bull Rim Trail + Plug Hat trail down the road. Neat overlooks about, and 1500 ft above Dinosaur Colorado, this location has outstanding views! However, if you're a veteran boondocker, you know that great views equal incredible wind.

Ironically, the wind concern was why we didnt stay up at the main spot on Campendium here at Harpers Corner. At any rate, we'd definitely come back if we were stopping through, but we'd probably just take the spot up top.

Stayed here for a week while exploring St George. Access is pretty easy, just follow the main road as it curves left. We tried to go straight but the road gets bad pretty quickly there. Just stick to the main road, there's spurs leading off in every which way and although there were a ton of boondockers here, we were all spread out and there were still plenty of spots left.

Greeted with 3" of snow the morning we left but were still able to make it out.

There's no overnight camping allowed on the flats, and although there are spots close to the flats, we much preferred this location! There wasn't anybody here the entire time we stayed. A few cars passing by while driving the backcountry loop, but that was about it. Total and complete privacy and unbridled views of Pilot Peak!

Lots of little poops around but no visits from wildlife. Be sure to check out the strange markings from Google Earth just Northeast of here, then drive the Aqueduct road and go explore! Those markings were once part of the Utah Training and Test Range from the 40's and 50's.

Also be sure to stop into historic West Wendover to see Wendover Will, and stop in at the casino to see the very last splice of the telephone lines connecting the East and West coasts!

We work from the road so we look for places that have a nice balance between being remote, and still having an internet signal. We stayed here because we were exploring the nearby abandoned waterpark. Access is absolutely awful. Huge ruts and rocks. The road leads back to a giant area where class a's and t'ers can park, although I would never drive a huge buss back here. The one fella that past us, half his foot ladder was hanging off, presumably snagged on something.

The place was also insanely dirty with an obscene amount of broken glass and spent casings.

Would not recommend.

After getting set up, the security came around and informed us that in June they passed a new policy prohibiting anyone under 21 from being in their parking lot! We were asked to leave at 4PM and drove around for a couple hours scrambling to find a location to stay.

DO NOT bring your kids here, and if you have to, hide them!

Access to this site can be difficult for larger rigs, but those who can fit will be rewarded with a special piece of the forest. This area is a nice, flat landing with partial to full sun. We had no issues staying charged via solar, despite having partial shade at certain parts of the day. We had both AT&T and Verizon, although Verizon was on the slower side.

There’s room for at least 3-4 small rigs in this little area, with plenty of space in between.

You won’t see much by way of traffic here, because the National Forest road continues and goes up a steep hill. We did see a couple folks drive in, but didn’t stay long. Only one set of older folks hiking. Otherwise it was very peaceful.

Dump and water are at the Pilot down in the town of Weed, 15 minutes away. Groceries can be found at the local grocery store, and there’s a Glacier water refill right out front for drinking water.

The area is rich in geographic history due to Mount Shasta (8 miles away) being a (now dormant) volcano. Along with the views of Mount Shasta, you can also see the tops of old lava flows (one mile away). Be sure to check out Plutos Cave down 97 North of here. It’s a really cool lava tube that’s free to explore. Also, there’s a kinda freaky tree circle if you walk down the main forest road (towards the SouthEast).

With the last review of this place a year ago, we were a little apprehensive about checking this place out, but it did not disappoint! There are quite a few places up and down this road with plenty of spurs to pull off and check out. We saw class a's, busses, and more. We are in a 35 ft class c and sit really low to the ground, but we were able to make it to a spot without scraping the jacks (this time).

Our spot was exactly 3 miles down from where you exit the neighborhood and enter into state trust land. The road was very busy the entire time, but it did get quiet at night. Least busiest of days were Tue and Wed so if you're looking to get a good spot, as always, arrive early in the week.

This boondocking location is in great proximity to several trailheads down the road including the Wave Cave hike. It was packed full of people so don't do this on the weekend!

Overall we'd stay here again. Decent internet, and amazing views of the Superstition Mountains!
