You can drive all the way upto the lot to park by this falls which we loved. We aren't really a big hiking family. 😆 The drive is pretty long up a winding, curvy road on a mountain. Don't take an RV or trailer up this climb! There's no shoulder and no center line. The falls was a quick little walk. Very pretty. 😊

The castle was cool too see but they only let you look at a very small portion of the 34000sq feet. 2 people asked in our tour group about any hidden rooms and that was denied, although we noticed some blended in/ secret looking doors on our tour. Lol no one asked but we saw them! 😆 a map of the ground to know what else we could look at would have been nice. They tell you you're free to stay and look at the grounds but don't give you a map so.... we did the tour and left.

We had come here last year but after our RV issues on the road it was too late to see anything. So I added it to our route back home this trip. We went and saw Arches national park this trip and this fails in comparison. 😔 we have 4 teens and they were all saying as we drove through... this is IT?! Arches was waaaayyyy better! So.... maybe don't see Arches and THEN this. Maybe see the smaller and then the larger. 😆 I only took 1 📸.

I had read on Google reviews that you could drive this. They were wrong. Lol unless they were referring to the parking lots. These are hiking trails to hike with plenty of parking. If it wasn't so hot (100) we may have gone but we were looking for some drive thru sightseeing. Looked pretty cool though! 😎

We stayed here unexpectedly after our grand canyon section of our trip had to be canceled due to a wildfire. I called at 6:30pm to see if they had a spot for 2 nights and they did. Super nice guy on the phone took our reservations. We didn't get in until 10:15 and unfortunately, our info packet with spot number was not left in the night box with the other late check ins. I called the manager number on the door and he came right over and showed us to our spot. At 10:15pm. Also, super nice! The sites are large, have trees and are well kept. They have astroturf for grass which works great! No dead grass! Lol we have a 40' motorhome towing a van and got an 85' long pull thru spot so plenty of room! The grounds are well kept and landscaped, there's a fenced in dog area, a small playground area for the kids, there's a patio area with tables and umbrellas, the pool wasn't open when I saw it but we were out and about all day while the office was open. We would definitely come here again. Oh, and there was a train that went through only once that I heard last night but we do sleep with a fan on for background noise. 😴

We went early- about 9AM so it was a little cool- about 68 in the narrows. On our way out there were TONS more people coming in BUT later in the day, when it was 100, would have been a better time to go. We have 4 teens and us. We didn't rent poles and did just fine- no one fell in! We also just brought our own shoes. Crocks (in support mode) collect lots of little rocks I had to keep emptying out. 2 had water socks on and had less rocks, a couple had old tennis shoes and ended up more rocks in their shoes. So... take your pick. Lol The views are beautiful!! 😍 Beginning of June, the water was so cold it hurt your skin until it kind of got numb. Part of the deal, I think with water in a river. Lol The deepest we went was below our waists. I tried to get my GPS to work to see how far we went but.... I had NO service. 😆 If you could only do 1 thing in Zion, this is the one to do. We went to the lower Emerald pool which was very disappointing. Weeping Rock is closed for 8-10 years due to a landslide in 2018. Of the 2 we did, the narrows was definitely the favorite!

The views on this road are AMAZING! We were looking for something else to do the day after we drove this and I was considering doing it again, it was so beautiful! 😍 DO NOT SKIP THIS if you're going to zion!

Campground was PACKED- they had no reservations left when we arrived. Only .4 miles to zion national park. The shuttle comes to pick you up next door- 1 door down at the end of the driveway. Spots are sandy & some gravel. Plenty of space for our 40' motorhome and our tow dolly to stay attached. Bathrooms are very nice! Every person gets 1 token for a 6min. Shower each day. Wifi was spotty to none- the kids were getting mad but I loved it! 😆 The view from the pool is amazing! Especially for us from WI who never see mountains! 😆 🌄

This was a disappointment. 😔 I thought the "Emerald" meant beautiful, clear, emerald colored water. I was wrong. It looked like a hole of muddy water. My family of 6 was not impressed. We also went about noon when it was 100+ degrees and full sun.... the trail doesn't have much shade. We went to the narrows first and then this. I would reverse that order on a hot day. Do this walk in the morning of you want to see it, then do the narrows when it's warmer out! BUT.... we didn't know what we didn't know. There's also a river/ stream under the bridge to the walking path- I say go in there instead. That water is more green and pretty. At the end of the trail though, there's dropping water from above that felt soooo good! You cannot go into the emerald pool to cool off- which I also had no idea about. We did wet out cooling cloths with the dripping water for the 100 degree walk back. Personally, we wouldn't ever do this hike again. Very anticlimactic. 😆 The only other one we did was the narrows and we really liked that one!

In 2018 there was a landslide on the weeping rock trail the size of a football field! They don't anticipate that it will be open yet for 8-10 years. 😔
