This our 2nd time back, first time camping. If you're looking for fun stuff for the kids.... This is IT! The staff is always nice and courteous, great selection of stuff at the store - even bought a swim mask after one broke of ours and an umbrella for on the beach for decent prices! They have a bar and restaurant right on the beach - order your food, pick it up and eat while the kids play! They had events for the kids while we were here to break up the swim times too. There's a pool, nice showers, family bathrooms/showers, jumping pillow, dog park, Pavillion for events, rent a cabin... They have it all. We'll definitely be back. The kids love it here!
Clearwater Beach was our familie's first ocean experience! It was beautiful! There were vendors on the pier which was neat and the gift store didn't charge us an arm and a leg for me keepsakes! Very reasonably priced gifts! We saw a "pirate ship" out on the water at sunset which was beautiful!
Beautiful campground with nice wooded lots and decent sized spaces. We had our 40' RV with our car dolly and van next to us and had plenty of room for outside sitting. Great little store with necessities and treats and decently priced! The only negative was that the owner was a little crabby and rude. Other than that, the other employees were fine. We went on the weekend of the 4th of July and the kids had a blast dancing with the live DJ, and then they launched their pontoon full of fireworks onto the lake and we watched the 1/2 hr fireworks show over the water. The map shows a swimming area but there were no markers out and there is no beach with sand as this is on the river so keep that in mind if your kids want to swim. There are docks for fishing though! The kids said they want to go back next year before we even left! 😂
Lots of trails to take! Drive most of the way up or park at the bottom if you're r really ambitious! 😂 Beautiful woods, tons of photo ops everywhere, look outs, lookout tower, New and old bathrooms, concessions and gift shop up by the look out tower. Wear good walking shoes! Not all paths are paved! Some are dirt and rocks thru the woods. All in all a very nice park! $8-$11 daily admission for residents or non residents
Beautiful rv resort! They met us at the front gate, had us follow them to the office, led us to our site- These people have everything down pat and a smooth operation! So close to the beach! If we stayed again we'd stay at a cheaper spot and walk a little further to the beach to avoid the sand in the rv. The staff was very friendly and the bathrooms were spotless every time we went in. They are beautiful too! They stored our car dolly in storage for free and delivered it back the morning of our departure before we were back from the beach. We would definitely stay there again!
Nice campground for the price! Attendant was a little short/ rude with me and my husband at different times but other than that... it was quiet, and exactly what we needed- a place to park our camper while we went exploring the area!
Captain Chaz and Ms Katie our dive guide were wonderful with our 4 kids! We saw several manatees on our venture and even though no one got a kiss or got to touch them, being so close to these beautiful, peaceful animals was definitely something they'll remember forever! One came up for air right next to 2 of the kids which was so cool!! I would highly recommend SeaDaddy's for your manatee adventure!
We used a groupon to try out this waterpark while we were in town and all 4 kids LOVED IT!! (So did us parents!) Any age child can go on it but keep in mind you have to swim out to it and you WILL fall in... a LOT! lol They do provide life jackets of all sizes as well and keep in mind the water park closes at 8pm. The first thing they asked when we were leaving... "WHEN CAN WE GO BACK!?" We will be going back in the future!
The room itself was nice and clean but we didn't realize the pool was under construction. Had we known that we'd have stayed somewhere else. With 4 kids and a husband who was looking forward to using the hot tub that was a disappointment. They did give us the option to use the YMCA at no charge though. The continental breakfast was amazing and they had everything available there!
