Although it was beautiful, it’s a long narrow dirt road to the site, there is a pit toilet but it’s pretty knarly. No cell signal for AT&T.

Dispersed camping, there’s no sign that makes it clear when it stops or starts, so we just followed someone else’s tracks who camped here. Cell service is okay, orange cliff sides, and lots of sand so we careful if you stay during a storm or longer than a night. Good stay over right off the highway. Cactus everywhere so watch out.

Big gravel lot, so lots of traffic noise but big rig friendly and beautiful scenery. Great cell service.

Beautiful scenery, elk come down to the lake at night. It’s just an open field, if you want an actual campsite there’s paid ones down the road.

The freeway has construction so there’s no access to this campsite currently, date is June 15, 2020.

Absolutely no AT&T service, we were only meaning to stay a night. But got snowed in the first day, then because were a diesel, our fuel gelled up, and we got stuck there for 10 days until the weather got warm enough to start. It’s high altitude so weather is temperamental. Beautiful area, lots of side by sides and bear hunting actively in the area so be careful. Only 2 flat spots.

Super friendly staff, called to make sure we were okay here while we bought car parts inside and worked on the rig, she said of course and directed me to the lot by the garden center to park. There’s construction going on so not as much room but plenty to share (:

Rest area, surrounded by public blm land, the lot adjacent to the rest area is blm land, and just about all the way up the highway to outside Ely on both sides is blm. Great place for a night or two, or two weeks road noise and semi noise.

Big lot behind the hotel, free rv parking, there are bathrooms and historical stuff inside the hotel as well as a casino and a Dennys. Super nice people, safe place to park

Water is encroaching the road in to the campground, with the snow melting id give it another month or so before camping here to avoid getting flooded in. 8 miles of dirt road, last 5 have massive rocks so can’t go faster than 5-10 mph.
