Still $5. Pay at gas station.
Free dump station with three lanes. No potable water, but easy in and out and nicer than most campgrounds.
Iowa interstates have free dump stations (most, not all), which we appreciate. The cover was missing from this one, so they had a metal strap across the opening, which made dumping less than ideal. Probably for liability purposes. No hoses to rinse - you supply your own. But free. Free is good.

Looks like an ok place to overnight, but not on a Saturday night. They were having an event at the fairgrounds and a peaceful stop was not to be had. We moved on.

Typical NFCG. Rustic sites arranged in a loop. Our site was quite spacious. There’s not much to do if you don’t have watercraft. The campground is about 20 miles from US 2. It was pretty empty for a Friday night. That might be in part due to the remote location (3 miles down a well-maintained gravel road) and the fact that Canadian wildfires are affecting air quality. That said, if you like getting away from it all, this would be a great place to do it.

After seeing the other campground in town we came here and were pleasantly surprised to find this. From check in to dinner at the on-site restaurant, we were made to feel welcomed. The campground is typical of those found on the Alaska Highway, which is to say because of where you are it’s a nice place to rest. There’s also a gift shop, laundry and clean pay showers, Wi-Fi and cable.
Verizon roaming through TELUS was good.

Free dump. Minimal fee to use water.
We drove by and the gates were locked and there was a closed sign.
Website indicates closed for 2022 season.
Looks like a nice option.

We had wanted to stay at one of the campgrounds at Muncho Lake, but they were full. We moved on and found Toad River RV Park. We had a back-in site and didn’t use any of their services other than to get gas for our truck. Pretty much the only option in Toad River since the other place was closed. We were told their Wi-Fi didn’t work upon checking in and it sounds like it’s an ongoing problem. No cell service.

Full hookups, very tight sites. We snagged the last small site and were happy to get it. All of the campgrounds in the area were full, including reserved and first-come national forest campgrounds. The picnic tables are child size (as stated by other reviewers). Sites are gravel and ours was a tight fit between two trees. What else can I say? We have a place to sleep and we’re in West Yellowstone.
