This was a nice, quiet little campground off US 2 enough that there were no traffic noises and a faint train whistle sporadically. Sites are well spaced with trees and enough privacy that we could see our neighbor’s trailer, but it was angled such that we had privacy. Both 30 and 50 amp available. There were some bothersome flies that didn’t bite. We arrived mid-afternoon on a Saturday and there were four sites available. Site 2 was level enough that we did not have to unhook.

We stayed here 8/10 - 8/16 in two different sites.
This is a large national forest campground just north of the town of West Yellowstone with both electric and non-electric sites. Some pull through, but most back in sites. Water available throughout the campground, but no dump station. Wonderful hosts who stay on top of things without being intrusive. Clean pit toilets. Some road noise from nearby Hwy 191 and the airport, but things quiet down at night. There were several nights during our stay that the campground did not fill, which was surprising.

We’ve driven through this campground in the past and promised ourselves that one day we would stay here. We are not disappointed in this quiet National Forest campground. Great site, right on Lake Superior and if you score a set on the lake side of the campground you have your own private beach. Gracious campground hosts made it a pleasant stay. We will be back.

This campground has 48 sites (used to be 50 but two are washed out and blocked off). The road in has some rough spots, but the campground roads and campsite driveways are paved. Most are pull-throughs. There is both a modern and rustic (pit) toilet. Both are near the host campsite. When we arrived there were many sites to choose from. According to the very friendly and helpful host, it rarely fills and that was the case during our visit. There are no hookups, and it was extremely hot during the day and it didn’t really cool off until well after the sun set. Needless to say, sleep came late, but it cooled off nicely. Fee was $7/night with geezer pass.

Nice State Forest Campground on a small lake. There are some sites on the water, so if you have a canoe , kayak or float tube to fish the lake you can keep it right at your campsite. Not all lakeside sites are level. We were the only campers on an early October week. Pit toilets and hand pump.

This is a very nice, quiet and well-maintained state Forest campground. It is reached by an unpaved road which can be pretty dusty when dry. There are three loops with some of the sites in each loop having water access and we had no problem getting a site on the water mid-week. We were able to leave our canoe at the water’s edge on our site. The sites are also large with plenty of room for any size RV, although the actual loops can be tight for larger rigs. Bathrooms were pit toilets that were clean and each loop had two. Potable water is available at a centrally located hand pump. A picnic area and walking trail was also available.

There was also a campground host, but he pretty much kept to himself.

One of our favorite campgrounds in Michigan’s UP. Blue ribbon trout streams nearby. The campground itself is rustic, some of the sites on the lake side are pretty slanted. Sometimes there is a campground host - very friendly couple. We make it here at least once a year.

We arrived after the booth was closed for the day and walk up check in was confusing. There were various fees listed for the sites with mention of a tax, but not how much the tax was. There was also a 10% senior discount, so I just wrote a check for the fee - discount + tax and just ended up paying the $30 campsite fee and hoping that covered it.

All sites are paved and most are level with varying lengths. The campground itself is off a busy city street and you do get road noise regardless of where you park. The showers definitely need updating. There were three showers in the ladies restroom, but one was broken (the whole shower head was laying on the floor). There is a dump station. and There was a water spigot at every site, which was convenient. It was a decent stop on our way through, but definitely not a destination.

Large campground with electric only at sites. Some sites had water spigots nearby. Some, but not all had picnic tables, but all had charcoal or wood grills. No fire pits. The sites were gravel with grass and some trees between neighboring sites. When we arrived there was one other camper, but a few others arrived later in the day. It was very quiet. There is a dump station which we did use. All in all a good place for us to stop and rest on our way to Glacer.

Larger COE campground that’s reservation only, however you can make your reservation at recreation.gov with no fees. Sites are electric only. There is a booth at the front to provide assistance in finding a site that’s suitable for your stay. We were there for an overnight, so our criteria was level, easy access and near a bathhouse, which we were able to get with no problem. Campsites are long, paved, and level with a picnic table and fire ring. Grass and trees provide shade with a fair separation of sites. The shower/bathhouse had four separate showers on one side of the building with the restrooms on the opposite side. The building was very clean and appeared to be fairly new. The campground was also fairly quiet in spite of being nearly full on a Sunday night. Would definitely return.
