Site 102. Wonderful location, great sites with lots of room between. Each w and e site had tree between them which provided great shade and the full hookup had row bushes between. Bathrooms and the showers were great, lots of pressure. Hubs said dump was best yet in 4 yrs of using our tt. Plus cground has ducks and fishing lake. Only about 5 mi to Joshua Tree Ntl Park, the eclectic Joshua Tree Bar in town had awesome food,. Great stay.

Day 4 of our 2 mon journey out west - in Abilene Kansas at the nicest little campground - Walts Campground! Super nice- pool, mini golf, horseshoes, sparkling clean bathhouse ( hot water, could use more pressure) , nice sites. Right off I-70, noise not a problem. Plus the Eisenhower Library is fantastic. Excellent dinner at R & G Diner in Abilene.

Sat 3/13/21 170 Picnic Dr, Salesville AR, 2 nights, Dan Quarry COE Site 11 confirmed. $21, we paid $11 w SR Ntl Park pass

Beautiful COE campground by the Norfork dam. We were site 11, overlooking the stream. Sites are level, paved, nice picnic tables, benches along the stream, bathrooms nice. Be sure and stop by the fish hatchery across the street.

Dell Rapids, SD, City of Dell Rapids Campground, day 54-56, May 26-29, Memorial Day Weekend, $30/ might. W&E, sewer sites are available. We lucked out and found a nice little campground for the busy holiday weekend. Located about 15 mi n of Sioux Falls, SD. Campground is located by the ball fields and the Sioux River, has a nice playground, clean bathhouse and hot showers. Quiet weekend, did laundry in town, good dinner at Mex restaurant in historic opera house building, and did some grocery shopping. Very relaxing and quiet.

First view of Palo Duro was amazing. We had no idea what a stunning area this is. The State Park is nicely laid out with visitors center and a trading post ( excellent cheeseburgers) plus numerous campgrounds. We stayed in Hackberry, site 23, water and elec and was a near perfect site- perfectly level w wonderful views of the canyon wall. Bathhouse was spotless, nice showers, good water pressure. Hubs got 24 hr bug so no hikes but still had wonderful time for 3 nights. Highly recommend.

LAST STOP of 2 month trip. Bellevue State Park, IOWA, site 7, $16/ night, 5/31-6/2/23, elec only. Interesting state park as there are 2 parts, the campground is in the Dyas unit, about 2 miles further down the hwy. The campground is very spacious for a small one. Nice gravel sites, grass and trees, plus a clean, newer bathhouse. The state park has 2 overlooks to the Mississippi River and a really nice butterfly flower garden. Sure wish more flowers were blooming. Have lunch at the historic Mill in Bellevue ( great bbq n Cajun) and check out the new Chocolate and Bakery Shop in town. Excellent riverwalk too.

4/30-5/3/24. Big Bone Lick SP, KY. Site 54. $38/ night. W&E
This is a very nice small State Park about hr south of Cinci. Site of Mammoth and Mastodon bones found in the 1800’s. They have a nice museum, short path to watch bison, mini golf and a pool for campers.
Campground has large gravel sites, most w shade from trees and a slight slope, grassy areas around sites, picnic tables and fire rings. Bring extra length of hose, we had 35’ and needed about 10’ more. Very clean bathouse, adjustable water temp and plenty of pressure.
Be sure and visit Rabbit Hash, KY, right on the Ohio River. Unique little old river town.

Days 17-19 of 2 month trip.
Gilbert Ray Campground, Tucson AZ, site 19. $20
A most beautiful super large county park in the upper Sonoran desert right by Saguaro Ntl Park, west of Tucson. Beautiful sites w great views and the stars are gorgeous at night. Good 30 amp power, no water at site but plenty of spigots to fill the camper on way in. Bathrooms were nice and clean, no showers though. We visited Old Tucson, about 5 miles away and had a blast. So much to see and do, we spent 5 hrs doing most everything. Still being used as a movie set. We went to Saguaro Ntl Park yesterday and loved the flowering cacti and plants everywhere. Fantastic 3 nights.

4/14-4/17/24. Enid Lake, MS, Persimmon Hill COE campground, site 44, full h-ups. Again right on the lake, beautiful grassy site, cement pads, very roomy campground. Nice clean showers w adjustable water temp. Super nice host. Be sure and visit the fish hatchery and we enjoyed going to Oxford MS to see ‘Ole Miss’ U and the courthouse square. Also had a nice early dinner at Volta Taverna - greek fare. Loved their margarita and the gyro.

4/11/24. Canal Campground COE, Lake Barkley KY, 3 nights, total $39 w AM Ntl Park Senior pass, site 30
This is a beautiful campground with very nice sites, water and elect and some w sewer. Bathrooms clean but dated. We are on site 30, Fishermans Row loop. Very level, gravel pad. Nice grassy area behind our site down to the lake. So much to do in Land Between the Lakes.
