With campgrounds being far and few between in the Bay area, we were excited to find this new campground with availability during the holidays.
The 20 mile drive to Orinda took anywhere from 35 minutes to 75 minutes depending on traffic.
The campground is nicely laid out; nicely lit; safe and clean. It is unfortunate that they didn’t make the pads level. They are high in the back and off from side to side. We were unable to get our 36’ Class A level even with switching sites and trying to manually level it.
The gate is locked from 10:00 pm until 5:00 am. If you get back after curfew you need to park outside the gate and walk to your campsite.
There are hiking and biking trails and picnic areas.

Staff met us in the pouring rain and guided us to our spot. Took care of payment right at the rig. Very close to highway with no buffer so very noisy. Lots extremely small and close together. Appears to be lots of seasonals.

Quiet. Had the park to ourselves. No hookups. Close to highway 20. Grocery stores and gas nearby. A little remote. Cleaned up a quart jar of nails and screws where we parked. Also a fair amount of broken glass. Recommend a walk-about of site before pulling in.

Isolated. Quiet. Unique rock formations. 3 mile dirt road to the campground is well maintained. Once inside the campground the first three sites are easily accessible and there is a pit toilet. Up the hill the two track is deeply rutted. We have a 30’ Class C and were able to make it up the hill and find a pull off that is big enough for 2 rigs if it was level. We had to get out the shovel and rake to level our rig.
About 4:00 in the afternoon the cows arrived and grazed for the next 2 hours. The yearling bulls put on quite a show for us! They weren’t leary at all about coming right up to the rig; horns and all.
The view was amazing. The night sky was spectacular.
Verizon reception vacillated between 2-4 bars LTE.

We have boondocked on BLM land for the last 5 months. We have never felt as insecure as we did here. The camp host has been AWOL for more than 24 hours. In an almost empty campground, we had people set up camp after dark directly adjacent to us. We are trying to maintain social distancing. When confronted, they became argumentative. The camp host was off duty for the evening and the entire next day. We had to move even though we were there first.
The campground is in deplorable condition due to a flood a year ago. It is my opinion it should be closed until appropriate dangers can be taken care of. We had two huge ankle-breaking holes in site #174.
The litter and trash, including outside the camp host’s kiosk, is out of control.
Also the campground is not restricted to paid campers. Several people arrived in the evening to fish behind our campsite.

Not much to add to what has already been said. Absolutely the most perfect place for big rigs to overnight. Easy, level parking; all utilities in great working order; immaculate, quiet; free WiFi; clean laundry facility, groceries nearby.

This is by far one of the most picturesque campgrounds we have ever encountered. Even though it is directly off I-15, because of the way it is situated, the only road noise we heard was semi-truck engine braking.
There is a large picnic area with access to the Virgin River.
The park is closing next Monday for a complete renovation. I can’t wait to return next year!

Five miles from the highway. Long pull through level sites so we didn’t have to unhitch the tow. Very friendly camp host who stopped by to collect the fee and make sure we were all set. Great night’s sleep.

We called ahead and the owner met our rig when we arrived. He then lead us to site 100 which was easy to pull into and out of. Perfectly level cement pads so we didn’t need to unhitch the toad. Electric, water and sewer worked great. So close to I-40 but minimal traffic noise. Completely quiet, peaceful and safe.
Yes, we would definitely stay again.
