A great stop over if traveling through Santa Fe. It’s just a rodeo grounds parking lot BUT it’s gated, has full hookups for $25 a night, is quiet and right near town. We called ahead, were given a gate code and dropped $25 cash into the box in the shed (I.e. office) which also has an ATM. The parking lot was level. The people were nice. Your neighbors are horses. Checked all our boxes for a great over-night stop.

The Cracker Barrel is easy to access, right off the interstate and has lots of space to park in the back (which backs up to woods). The back is well lit, fairly level and had minimal traffic driving through. There is some road noise but hey you’re at a Cracker Barrel and that’s to be expected. The staff were super nice as well. Thank you Cracker Barrel! We ❤️ that you let RVs stay!

I can’t really say enough good things about this place! Reservations and check in is all done digitally and is a breeze! The family that owns the place gave us the warmest welcome when we arrived and couldn’t have been nicer! They have spent their money in all the right places here to create an epic experience full of tiny surprises for guests! And can we just talk about the bathrooms—Heated floors, outdoor shower, awesome tile! It was the closest thing I’ve had to a spa experience in quite a while! The entire place is decorated with a modern vibe that repurposes found items in cool ways! And the views are epic too! Sites are super large and all pull through. We will definitely be back!

The greatness of Mountain View Campground can’t fit in this post! Mike and Damien are stellar hosts and go above and beyond to make sure their guests have a great time! They have cultivated a place that’s more like a small mountain neighborhood than a campground. Killer WIFI, Potluck dinners on Wednesdays, karaoke on Fridays, impromptu movies and nightly pavilion “rock and talks” in rocking chairs overlooking the mountains, you’ll meet so many great people here and will be sad to leave no matter how long you stay. ⛰ ⛺️ ❤️

Park has expansive green space even though it’s right off the highway! Under new ownership. Jack was super responsive and even came in late to meet us and escort us to our spot. Didn’t use the bathrooms, WiFi or laundry. Little to no noise from the highway. The park definitely has some places that could use some sprucing up but the potential to be a really nice park is there. Would definitely recommend for an overnight stay.

Came to mountain bike and hike in the National Park. The campground was a great basecamp to tons of recreation. It’s also super close to Driggs which is a great little town. (There’s not much in Tetonia.) The view of the Tetons is beautiful! We loved watching the mountains change colors every night. We didn’t have much contact with the owners as they did a contact free check in due to covid. There is a decent weight room and the laundry room was great. Didn’t use the bathrooms but our friends mentioned that they could definitely stand to be cleaned more often. The campground served its purpose as a basecamp to recreation but it’s not much to write home about otherwise. We’d try to stay at the campground in Victor if we come to this area again, but would stay here again if that one wasn’t available.

This was a tough one for me...there are things I really liked and things that were just meh. I think whether you like it or not really depends on your reasons for being there.

Good stuff:
1. The amenities are crazy nice!!! The clubhouse feels like a hotel! Everything was super new, modern and clean.
2. The staff is super nice and accommodating. They even kindly helped us switch to a more preferable site after we arrived. They also have an activities director who does cool stuff for kids like rock painting and mask tie-dying.
3. Food trucks! They have food trucks come into the park every week or so and that was super fun!
4. Walking trail by the river
5. Availability! The Sedona area is popular and so hard to get into for extended stays! All the other places I called trying to get into for a month had wait lists of a year or more. This resort is BIG and we had no trouble getting a month stay with only about a months notice.

The Meh stuff:
1. Cell signal is spotty and different all over the park. We have Verizon and Att and had to move to the front of the park to get a stronger signal. It worked...but not awesomely. We had some pretty poor quality zoom call experiences.
2. WiFi isn’t much better. The IT guy was constantly in the clubhouse fixing the internet. Some days it worked in the club house and some days it didn’t and I had to use my phone as a hot spot.
3. The vibe in the park...when we drove up so the resort my husband thought it was an RV storage lot if that helps paint a picture in your head :-) All gravel and pavement. Some sites are really close together and some a just close together. The vibe kinda feels like a suburban neighborhood—not like camping at all. In my opinion, it really matters what site you get! We liked the pull through sites in the front as they gave you a decent amount of space from your neighbor. Oh, and I would get a site next to the paw print icons on their map! These are artificial grass poop pads for dogs and you’ll have a front row seat to a parade of pooping dogs all day. We learned the hard way :-)

So, depends on why you’re going...got kids? You’ll probably love it? Just want a base camp to explore Sedona? It works great! Want a nature filled camping experience? Keep looking.

We are booking again for next year though because did I mention availability?! :-)

It’s really easy to get comfortable here—they have every amenity and the staff bends over backs to make guests happy. The sites in the adult only section are HUGE! The dog park is giant and has an awesome group of campers that gather there daily. The clubhouse, hot tubs, fitness room and bath rooms are top notch and clean. The views are 360 degrees of mountains and have stunning sunrises and sunsets. We’ve been here twice and met great friends each time! This place just seems to attract cool people! 30 minutes from Park City and skiing. 15 minutes from Midway. 50 minutes from Salt Lake and the airport. Hiking and biking all around. It’s just kinda hard to think of anything that this resort and location don’t have. It’s our go to place when in the area!

Stayed a month in June to take advantage of their monthly rate.

Pros:
Ocean view
Tree area next to campground
Close to St. George Island, Apalachicola National Forrest, Apalachicola and many more beaches
Lots of things to do near by from restaurants to hiking to shopping to fishing
Friendly staff
Clean and spacious bathhouse with laundry
Concrete pad on site
Cell service is decent (We worked daily using cell signal, with a cell booster, from RV with minimal problems — just a slow period every once in a while)

Cons:
Bugs!!! Bring a screen room if mosquitos like you!
No good place to walk your dog that doesn’t have a lot of car traffic
Noise from road
Not much shade
Campground doesn’t have a pier

Made an unplanned stop here for a day while traveling up to Coeur d'Alene. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The campground has lots of nice trees and shade. The laundry room looks nice and clean. The bathrooms are great — they look newly remodeled and were pretty clean. The campground was only a mile to downtown McCall which was great for exploring the lake, shopping and restaurants.

Couple downsides...we weren’t too impressed with the hookups on site 13 — electric uses a super long cord to plug into the neighbors post and the water hookup is a hose laying in the grass that looks like it’s been spliced to three different sites. It looked like most of the sites had standard hookups but ours didn’t for some reason. We also thought $49 was a bit pricey for partial hookups but happily paid it to score a unplanned reservation on a Friday night in the summer.
