It is adjacent to the county fair grounds. All brand new utilities with full hookups 50amp. First Come - First serve. Once you have landed your rig, walk across street to Super 8 to pay and receive key for electrical box. Very easy access from I-10. its a little tight for longer trailers/fifth wheels. There was a couple class A's parked no problem. Laundry was new and very clean. two washers and two dryers. Easy walk for dinner to Dairy Queen, Sonic, and local BBQ joint. Other RV park in town is near the high school footbal stadium. We stayed Friday night and were glad not to be near all the action. This is probably very full during county fairs and rodeos. You may want to check schedules before relying on this for an overnight stop. For $25, I'd stay here rather than nearby rest-stops with all the truck traffic and engines running all night.

We choose this as a staging location for the 2022 Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. It is 40 miles outside town and we avoid all the congenstion associated with the Fiesta. We have a full Hookup with 50 amps. In the morning we will dump all tanks and fill fresh water tonight for the short drive into the city. Although not available yet, laundry will certainly be an added bonus. All of the untilities look very new. The sites and drives are all gravel and very level. The owner gave very clear and precise instructions. Driving from North Carolina (6 days) this has been one of the better stops. Using Starlink for internet (118 down, 13 up)

What a wonderful surprise. This was not our first choice after following a couple Youtube RV couples, but it is now! Did not have a chance to meet the owners, but I am impressed with the investment of time and money. Each day when we returned to camp, there were noticable improvements. All of the utilities are top notch, clean, and functional. Water can be sparse in this area but their system was able to handle a full campground. The attention to details is amazing. The desert lanscaping and plantings create beautiful serenity spaces. The community area was well organized with many yard games. The dog run was pristine and easy to maintain (other parks could learn a thing or two)

Then, to take the park from a 4.5★ to over the top, the owners organize music and an awesome campfire experience. For us the music was Wed, Thurs, and Friday. This will vary from week to week. There is a party store just across the street should you attend too many campfires with music.

All in all, we felt very welcomed and safe in this park. Most campers abided by dark sky protocols and the milkyway was in full view. The road noise was nonexistent.

Proximity to the National Park was perfect. Once settled in Study Butte, it is easy and fast to get to all of the highlights. We hiked Boquillas Canyon in the morning and Santa Elena Canyon in the afternoon. The windows hike in the Chisos Basin was very busy. We had a picnic lunch using the group campground picnic tables

My recommendation is to take a drive through and checkout you site before putting down stakes.

Arrived on a Monday, Site was in the middle of a large church-based camping group 100-200 people (50 sites). Felt like we crashed their party. They were all pleasant enough, but our travel-trailer stood out like a sore thumb amonst all the cabin sized tents. They are here fore 10 days. Regretted having a reservation and decided to to stay planted since it was for the one night.

Sewer connection was a joke. Completely buried in the mud and dirt. dug around with my boot for a minute be decided not to dump amongst all the tent families. Power pole was shady, glade to have my power protection.

Fire pit had been moved and was propped up against some tree roots. Picnic table was very wobbly and not useable.

Stayed within our site in order to be less invasive to the community putting so did not check out any facilities.
The staff at the main office were kind but less than helpful. They might have suggested an alternate site knowing what we were walking into.

Travelling eastbound needed a place to recuperate. Directly off US-2, we were concerned with potential road noise, but the traffic noise was minimal and settled down around 9:00pm. They are working hard on the facilities and amenities. The picnic tables were freshly refurbished and painted. The bathrooms have flush toilets, showers were heated and very clean. There are laundry facilties with two washers and dryers. Some sites were very open and spacious while others were tight. Many options regarding electricity, water, and sewer.

Great place to stay for a couple days if you have Side-by-Side or towed vehicle for touring area. Nothing within walking distance except Gas Station/Camp store/Bar combination.

I would stay here again based on quietness, access, and cleanliness of facilties and grounds. They will be full this weekend, I suspect because of color tours and Bow hunting season.

Internet was slow. Usual campground service, but cell service was very good.

Following reviews and google searches I was concerned by the proximity to traffic and town activity. Once again my online assessment was very wrong. The young owners are working very hard toward improving this campground. They recently added 38 acres and very spacious sites with new electrical, water and sewer hookups. Road noise was non-existent. We were in the newer loops away from the seasonal campers. None of the previous reviews mention the new section. Hats off to Zac for all the hard work. Sites are still very muddy due to the lack of ground cover and the fall rains. Next spring will be beautiful with newly planted landscaping. The elk and mule deer passed through the campground while we were there. Onluy saw prints from the wild horses. There is trailer storage but I don't know the details. Very easy drive from Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. Heading to Carlsbad via US82 over Cloudcroft. US244 through the apache reservation was very scenic and easy to drive. Passed several Class A and 5er on each of these roads. Used trip wizard and mentioned dirt roads but this was inaccurate.

Stayed for two weeks. It is very peaceful and feels like a state park. There are upper and lower sections. The lower section would be lake front property and very near the boat ramp. Most of the long term residents are in the lower section. The upper section was sparsely occupied. For two weeks we only had neighbors for a couple of nights. The $3 fee listed above was an upgrade from 30amp to 50amp. There is no lake, water, fish or boating. This part of Texas has been in a serious drought for seveal years. I am told by a local that the Lake/Reservoir has been known to refill within a couple days should the rain be adequate. There are a ton of medium sized whitetail deer and they are very domesticated. An 8 point buck plus a few six points would visit our site twice each day. A gaggle of turkeys also keep us entertained.

The utilities worked very well. No issues with fresh water, power(50amp) or sewer connections. IT is end of October and I would say the camp is less than 30% full, probably because of lake situation. The roads need a lot of work but this keeps the traffic slow and sparse.

The laundry was very nice with 6 washers and six dries. They are all credit card with a very cool app. The app tells you the current status of all the machines so yo can plan your laundry accordingly. The surrounding neighborhood is a bit dicey but the campground is secure and gated. Never had any cancer about safety. Locally, there is a small grocer store, nice gas stations, quality veterinary, and a fun bar/stage for large music events on the weekends. We camped at Medina Lake RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed Friday and Saturday during March 2022. Campground was very quiet and half full. Weather was great. Contrarily, Cuyahoga NP was very busy. Campground utilities were very good. They were just opening for the season and had a couple issues with fresh water. It was quickly remedied. Staff was friendly and engaging. Sites are level, gravel based, and spacious. Our site was in low loop. (Deer Run) may be an issue if recently rained.

No bugs. Pave roads with gentle curves. Sites are spacious. Mostly older group with very few children.
Perfect location for Dark Sky viewing. Warm days and cool nights for 4th of July. Suttons Bay is 2 miles away for groceries and serious WIFI connectivity. Water pressure was great and sewer connections well maintained.
Sites had a right-sized concrete pad with adjacent fire pit.

They are working very hard towards adding new facilities, cabins, and site amenities. Brick lined fire pit included Adirondack chairs, the water pressure was strong, and the sewer connections were accessible and clean. The new owners are adding several cabins. The tent area is lower down the valley and very isolated. We stopped in early March 2022 for a National Park visit. The campground was mostly empty during the week. Weather was cool but dry. We had a wonderful stay. It is easy access off of main highway, great for large RV's with towables. Walmart and Sheetz gas is 10 miles away. New River Gorge North Entrance is less than 5 miles.
