Road Runners is a new campground, opened 12/24/20. We had electric and sewer but the water was still being installed. This was not an issue because they came around with fresh water to pump into your rig. By the time we left this morning 2/7 the water installation was almost complete.
The campground is new and they are still working on amenities like internet and the water. They were attentive and I have no doubt the next time we are in the area, it will be great. We would stay again!

This is a new park so some things were not up and running yet (though I understand that WiFi and water should be hooked up real soon), but we would definitely stay again on our next visit. The hosts are always there to help, even at late hours of the night and everyone was so friendly. They have a nice community area and the spots are well spaced and can fit any sized rig. It is also a great location, close to the national park and lots to see and do in Terlingua.

We could not have been happier with our experience at Roadrunner Travelers RV Park. Chris and Allison went out of there way to make us feel at home and comfortable, especially since this was our very first destination with our trailer.
Originally, we were going to have to move twice during our stay due to them not having one spot available for all 8 nights, but eventually it worked out so that we did not have to move at all. They had electric and sewer hook ups when we first got there, but with them being so new (just opened in December 2020), they were still working on the water hook ups, and ended up getting us hooked up to water about 3 days before leaving. Before the water hook ups were available, they drove around every single day and topped off everyone's fresh water tanks. That's customer service for you!
They are working on getting fiber optics in the campground, and should have it very soon. If you need a good internet service while there, just ask them and they will tell you where and how to get it very easily and very close by. The grounds are gravel and each site is mostly level from what I could tell.
We were 15 minutes from Big Bend Ranch State Park, 10 minutes from teh entrance to Big Bend NP, and 5 minutes from Terlingua Ghost Town. Perfect location for the area. Do not hesitate to stay here!
Thank you again Chris and Allison for your hospitality, answering all our questions, and giving us some great local info on things around town. Cheers and good luck!

Great full hook up for all size rigs. No Bath house or Toilets yet since this park is brand new. Maybe next year. Did not feel crowded. Love the location in relation to Big Bend NP and Big Bend State Park. Will stay again next year when we come back to finish our touring. Never enough time in Big Bend! So much to see.

We stayed here at the end of February/beginning of March when we could not get a spot in the national park. For The area, I think RoadRunner seemed to be one of the nicest. The park is somewhat small, but it's clean, well-maintained and the owners are really nice and responsive. We chose to Boondock because that is all that was left and our rig is fully self-sufficient with solar. Wifi is hard to come by in the area in general, but the park was about to install wifi when we left. We would have stayed longer, but we work remotely and couldn't risk wifi being spotty for more than a couple of days. They have plenty of water for boondocks and will help you fill up as needed. They also have a common area with games, a fireplace and grilling space.
Couple of notes:
- Wifi is really good at Espresso Y Poco Mas. The food is also excellent and I stayed for several hours working and they did not have any issue. Just keep buying stuff as a thank you.
- Wifi is also accessible across the road at Canyon Brew Coffee, but they are not open very long. I was even able to access their internet on my phone from my RV.
- Alpine is basically the closest town and it's well over an hour away. Gas up if you can there. I also think buying some groceries there might be a good idea. There is a really nice market (Cottonwood General Store), but it's pretty pricey. Good for a few things, but if you're buying everything there it could be expensive.

A brand new park! Easily accessible to BBNP entrance & Terlingua. Allison & Chris will go out of their way to make your stay successful. Full hookups are available as well as dry camping option. Paved roads to location. On a main road but location was quiet. Hosts allowed us mail package delivery which we appreciated.

We stayed at Road Runner RV Park in February of 2021 in the middle of the snowpocalypse that hit Texas in February of 2021. Allison and Chris, the owners, are great people that went around and checked to make sure that everyone had fresh water as the temps dipped into the single digits and they had to turn off the water lines. Chris and Allison went around in their truck with a fresh water container and a pump and filled every RV up. They even made sure to catch us as we got back from dinner at dusk that evening.
They just opened this park on Christmas Eve of 2020, and they were yet to get their wifi hookup, but you can tell they are vested in providing a great park and a great service. The RV park is ideally located in the Study Butte area with great access to Big Bend National Park, Terlingua Ghost Town, and Big Bend Ranch State Park. Entrances to each Park is within 10 minutes.
They also have very convenient access to the Cottonwood Grocery, the Alon gas station, and Black Jack’s crossing. This is definitely a destination area, and we intend to make it back. The sites are all gravel, as it is the Chihuahuan desert. So it will be a little dusty, but that is part of the natural beauty of the area. DB’s rustic barbecue is right across the road and Starlight theatre, and Terlingua ghost town is about 5 miles to the west.
