This campground is great for exploring Lunenburg and the surrounding areas. You can walk to the harbor where there are lots of restaurants and a great museum. Just a few miles away is a wonderful dog park and 4 miles away is the beautiful little hamlet of Blue Rocks. The campground has Wi-Fi but it’s a bit spotty at times. The camp bathhouse is old and outdated but the showers are nice and they have plenty of hot water.

This is a big fairgrounds with plenty of camp sites. There’s water and electric but bring plenty of water hose as the hydrants are far and apart.
We camped on the Penobscot River where we fly fished for Salmon and Trout. Watched kayakers and rafters navigate class 5 rapids. This is a laidback, friendly campground and we look forward to visiting again.
