A few electric only sites, but most have no hookups. Sites vary in quality, and some are arranged with pad and table on wrong side. After it stopped raining, we had a good hike, then found out that the remnants of Hurricane Zeta were going to create high winds on the day we were to leave. To be safe, we booked another night, but had to get a different site. The next day when the winds were blowing, trees were falling in the campground. So again, to be safe, we left our original campsite early and drove our small RV to the top of Morrow Mountain. There we enjoyed the beautiful view until the winds calmed and we could move to our new site for the night.

I liked this campground, but wish more sites had hookups and good layouts. Ranger presence was the best I'd ever seen at one of the state parks.

A waterfront site in this little campground is a great place to relax. Lake Juniper is beautiful, as are the sunsets over it. There's a glimpse of the golf course on the opposite side of the lake. That side also has a swim beach, kayak rentals, and the park office. You can take a very pleasant walk around the end of the lake, over the dam, and down the boardwalk to reach this public area. This was our second trip to Cheraw, and we'll return again.

We've visited this campground for three successive years, and will be back. The weather wasn't very good on this stay, but it didn't matter since the waterfront view is so relaxing. It was also cooler than normal, which was welcome. This campground is a gem, especially during the week when it's so quiet.

Very quiet during the week in mid-March. Access by non-paved forest service roads, but the campground was paved. Sites are also paved, but far from level. Be very cautious about bringing in a long rig. We saw a 5th-wheel have serious difficulty hitching and leaving their site. Our site was electric only, but that was no issue for us.

Really nice long trail along the shore of Badin Lake, and circling back around through the forest. It's over 5 miles though, so we planned a route that would get us back with less distance.

This park might be okay when it's dry, but if it has been raining, it's a disaster. Roads are gutted and muddy, and the sites are worse. We had big water-filled holes in our site, and a deep puddle right in front of our door. Couldn't book online, and no reservation confirmations are sent. No breaker on power pedestal. The park is very convenient off the interstate, but that's not enough to bring us back.

This park is very convenient to I-75, well kept, and has nice staff. However, be careful about paying in advance if you might need to leave early; you won't get a refund. Lots of long-term campers here, but there were two separate strips used for short-stay customers. The pull-through sites are sized to fit the longest of RVs, and our full hookup site even had two separate sewer dumps.

Much history and many places to go within a 30-40 minute drive. Everything you need can be found in the small town of Adairsville. We stayed while attending a youth baseball tournament at Lake Point Sports in Emerson.

Grade A campground within an expansive family park with many activities. Full hookups, and in the shade. Easy to get to Charleston and all it has to offer. We had heavy rain while we were there, and it drained off very well.

Our site was very large and mostly shaded. Unfortunately, we did not have a water view, but we weren't far away. The bathhouse was very convenient to our site, but wouldn't be for a lot of others. We had a nice, quiet stay. We liked Crosswinds a lot better than the other Jordan Lake campground we had visited.

In my opinion, the section we were in (C) had too many duplex sites as opposed to single sites, and many empty ones had the water view that I would have liked, but won't pay double for.

The site itself was acceptable, but not really on the water like it was supposed to be. Shoreline growth was so high that the only water we could see was in the distance. If we had had children with us, we would have been unable to watch them in the water. The only way to the water was a small path down a hill through tall grass. Traffic was steady on the road, and the atmosphere just wasn't what we like. Plus, the site beside us was overflowing with people and vehicles, clearly breaking the rules, and when rangers rode by they didn't even slow down. Even though this is the closest state park to where we live, I doubt we'll return.

Live oaks, beach, marshes, nature center, and more at this great park. We stayed in the older section which has large, shady sites. There are short trails leading to the beach, and a longer trail through the forest. I wish we could have stayed longer.

My only complaints were the very low water pressure at our site and motorcycles cruising in at night. (It was a biker's weekend up the road.)

I wish the checkout time (12:00) was later, but we were told we could vacate our site, then move to a parking lot to continue to enjoy the park for the day. We'll be back, especially since this park is located near where my husband grew up.
