This spot is amazing. We arrived on a Tuesday late afternoon and there were hardly any spots left in the main area (which was surprising). We ended up parking to the right on a thinner strip of land. This was nice because we had less traffic but obviously had to keep our site clean/enough space for others to drive through or walk through. During the rainy season, I’m not sure it would work to park on this section. We had some rain (not that much) 2 nights before we left and the river came up about 2 feet.

Solar was great. Verizon had 4 bars but at times was nearly unworkable (we are fulltimers and work remotely), even with booster, due to overcrowded tower. This was incredibly annoying. Our friends had an at&t hotspot and it worked better. The more crowded it was, the worse the cell situation was. And vice versa.

This place was busy and crowded our entire 12 nights here. This didn’t really bother us, but it was kind of unexpected. If you’re looking for solitude and privacy, this is not the place for you. I’m sure in the off season it calms down.

You are about 15 minutes from Ruby Beach, which is awesome! 35 min from the Hoh Rainforest. Forks is about 25 min away. Free water at a gas station in town - Mobil gas station across from the Shell. We have huge tanks so didn’t need to dump but there is a state park nearby where you can dump for $5. However it is not for big rigs due to the access. There are other places you can dump further away.

It is incredibly gracious of the owner to let everyone stay here for such a low price. Make sure to pay (cash only!!) and pick up after yourself. We were parked along the tree line and there was a lot of toilet paper and even some old feces. You are supposed to be self contained to camp here, but it does not appear people care to follow this.

Overall we would definitely stay again. 4 stars due to the cell situation, crowds, and messes in the bushes.

We don't stay at a ton of KOAs, but we were surprised at how big the sites were here. Apparently a few years ago they removed every other site so the campsites would be more roomy. I can't remember our exact site number, but the ones along the tree line are decently shaded. The staff was friendly and overall we had a great experience here. The only downside was there are a lot of ticks both at the campground and in the general area. I don't remember the exact nightly rate we paid, but in typical KOA fashion, it was a little pricy for what you get. Location is great in relation to Brown County State Park. Verizon was weaker than expected, but workable.

You have to back into the spot to dump. You go inside and pay $5, then they give you the spray nozzle for rinsing and you have to pull the hose from the side of the building to where the dump station is. Not a lot of options in the area, so this worked, but it was kind of a pain.

We boondock more than half the year so have stayed in so many different spots. This was by far the DUSTIEST place we’ve ever stayed- to the point it was almost unbearable. Apparently there was a fire at some point this fall, which burned up pretty much any existing greenery. It is pretty much a giant dust pit at this point.

There are some nice views and the location is convenient. So it has that going for it. Also I’ll mention if you didn’t have kids (or pets) the dust might not be as big of a deal. But it was kind of a nightmare for us.

There are multiple spots for big rigs before you get to the parking lot (can’t miss it). Smaller vehicles can continue on from there.

I also want to mention there is SO much broken glass here. The ground literally glistened in the sun. So sad!

Overall, we aren’t very picky, but we would not stay here again due to the crazy amount of dust and glass.

Good access; decent cell overall, but we had some issues near the end of our stay (Verizon). We think it was due to overloaded cell towers.

We originally chose this RV park because it was the only one open in the area (due to covid). We are fulltime RVers and needed a place to stay while heading through the area. So we were super grateful they stayed open! (On their website even acknowledged some people live in their rigs and need a place to stay... asked everyone to take precautions, etc.).

The location of the park is awesome. It's located in the Red River Gorge area and there is a LOT of hiking and outdoor activity in the area. It is 6 minutes from the famous Nada Tunnel. It's about 5-10 minutes from the Natural Bridge State Park as well.

As for the park itself... it was fine. Our main issue was ZERO shade. I don't think there was shade at any of the sites. I think it is a newer park, so they just don't have mature trees. So it could get a little miserable mid-day in the sun (even in late May). There is also quite a bit of highway noise, which didn't bother us, but might bother some. And some of the sites are pretty close together. We were in Site 16 and definitely thought it was one of the better ones in the park. The one across from it was decently sized too.

They have a pool, but it was not open when we were there due to covid. They have laundry facilities on site as well (also did not use but nice they have them!). Good verizon cell without booster.

Overall, we'd camp there again, but if there were other campgrounds in the area open with more shade and trees (or in a forested setting), we'd probably try one of those first.

Price reflects Passport America Discount. This is a newer RV park located within Houston city limits. It was gated and we felt safe. We didn’t use many of the amenities during our stay, but they have a pool (not heated), exercise room, and “beer garden” (basically a nice outdoor area to hang out).

The laundry facilities were very nice and all the machines had card readers installed, which is always appreciated. It was $2 to wash and $2 to dry.

Site was perfectly level. We had a nice stay here and thought it was a great deal for the location (with PA discount). They also have a Good Sam’s discount.

There was definitely some noise from jets and traffic, but being in a large city, this was expected. We'd stay here again if we ever wanted to return to Houston.

Overall, this is a great spot. Cell (Verizon) was good, and we saw multiple moose during our time there, which is always a treat! One of the only downsides is this is basically a large open field, so there is no privacy. There is great river access. One other complaint we had was there are some locals that let their dogs run loose in this area. Nothing against dogs at all, but the owners were not even on the property and the dogs wouldn't leave us alone (albeit friendly). But none of that would deter us from staying here again. It's a great location with beautiful views.

This spot was okay, but we were here in October and it was SOOO busy (really, everywhere in this area).

We stayed off of a little offshoot road to the right nearish to the entrance (past the signs), which was ideal, as this place gets tons of in and out traffic.

Pretty sunsets here and strong cell. Decent location in relation to the parks, but with current construction, could take 1.5 hours to get into Moab. Yikes!

Super dusty, which seems to be the norm for this area. Pretty windy at night. Overall, we’d stay here again.

We love this area! We have stayed here twice in different spots. It's a lovely forested area with many aspens and pines. Some sites have mountain views, but more of the private sites do not. As you go further into the forest, the roads become pretty rutted, almost impassible for larger rigs. Cell is strong (Verizon). There is a Philipps 66 nearby with free water and air.

This is bear country, so don't leave food out. We didn't experience any problems, but were warned off a grizzly at a nearby site.

Lots of ATVs in the area.

One spot we stayed at was kind of long and narrow, but was plenty big for one rig and had nice views of the mountains. A downside was it had some highway noise. Coordinates 44°34'46.4"N 111°20'31.2"W.

Another spot we stayed at was much larger - probably big enough for 3-4 rigs. More forested and no view, but less highway noise. 44°34'45.6"N 111°20'33.6"W. The two spots I mentioned are really close to one another. Both have their pros and cons, but are both decent spots!
