Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on May 06, 2023The roads are dirt but good for low cars and non 4x4 trucks. Some potholes just watch where you drive. Very nice private sites. While unnoficial the tires tracks help clearly define. Most have stone firepits. If you see movement outside its likely a cow.
No water, no electricity, no trash. Surprisingly very clean. Pack it in, pack it out. But you can't beat free.
We stayed right up front because of our size and we got in late. A little traffic noise but nothing outrageous. If we had pulled in foward I think it we could have completely hidden in the trees.
Right off of hwy 20. 20 miles or so from West gate to Yellowstone.
Verizon did work but poor internet on my phone pixel2, slightly better but not streaming quality on a galaxy S7.

We needed a boondocking spot before heading into Yellowstone for the day. Got in super late and it was easy to find. Only one other camper was there, so we kept driving to the back where the trees were. Lots of open space and very clean. Our spot even had a “man made tree swing” that our 3.5 year old loved!

This is a great spot if you have a larger rig, Im sure there are closer spots to Yellowstone but we didnt want to risk them since it was still spring and muddy. This spot was right off the road and had decent cell coverage, fairly quiet and some elk came to visit our site. Fire rings where provided. We would stay here again. We came out of Yellowstone late, so most parks were either full or closed. This was a perfect spot to boondock for the night in our big rig. We didn’t try moving back into the trees for more privacy as the dirt, pothole filled roads looked rough for our 40’ pusher. There are 2 large parking areas immediately off the road that were perfectly suited with multiple rv’s and trailers already parked. Not someplace I’d like to spend any length of time, but perfect for a quick night.
This was such a great spot - heavily wooded, felt quiet and secluded and easy access to the highway on the road to Yellowstone. This is a dispersed camping area with spots for all rigs and sizes. Woods could be a little low at times so I wouldn't go too far up the dirt roads if you have a tall rig.

This is a great place to stay if you don’t need hookups. Right off the highway, easy access to a bunch of the sites, all well spread out, surrounded by trees, and easy to fit about any size trailer. Deeper in (if you take the road that loops - a couple of them just dead end), there are even more secluded sites but it was a struggle to get our 30-foot trailer in due to overhead trees and big ruts. If it had been wet, we would have been stuck. Still, the site we ended up in was wonderful. It backed to the woods, giving us room to roam. We’re happy campers here. 👍🏼

We stayed her for 7 days and used it for our base camp to go to Yellowstone and loved every minute of it. People who camp here were respectful and friendly and a joy to be around. The roads cab be pretty rutted so depending on your rig I would unhook and drive around.

We stayed on Bootjack dr for .8 miles then took the left fork. We parked right beside a bend of Henry's Fork creek. The site was level and views were awesome. Close to Yellowstone, what's not to love? The only down side at this time was the dump stations were all shut down (Covid again). We found one 16 miles south just past Rainbow Realty on the right side of the highway. Would stay here again anytime!

Big enough for all sizes RVs or tents. Just be careful of the bumps and ditches. None of the sites are numbered, just find a spot and hunker down. Probably will have some neighbors, we had 2 in the same “pulled out spot”, but didn’t feel crowded.
