Beautiful park. The buffalo heard is more like a managed Cattle heard however the wild Burros are awesome! Bring some baby carrots!
This is an amazing drive. Pair it with the Custer State Park wildlife loop. Makes for an all around awesome drive. Stop at the rest area and snap a few long distance Rushmore pictures.
Three stars simply due to location. Interior is a bit of a shady location. The shanty town next to the campground adds a bit of Wild West feel. Sites are small. Seems to be a very transient campground. Staff is friendly. Skip the all you can eat pancakes with the 100 year old starter.

Nice amenities. It's location is the worst part, but once you are in the campground you will not know you are surrounded by an industrial park. Close to downtown. Great pool and play ground.
This was closed. The guy at the gas station told me that it was all sold off, and moved to a new location out of state.
This was not really impressive, it was just a smaller store. Good food though!
This is a very nice hiking parks with lots of nice visitors centers. We came in from the Estes side and crossed the entire park. The hike to 12,005 feet was amazing. You will feel on top of the world. Great over looks and a wonderful experience of the tundra environment.
Quite camp ground, nice stop. The lake was drained when I was there, but the campsites are pretty big and offer electric hook ups.
Nice sites, pretty plain vanilla. This place was the perfect location if you are staying in Great Falls. It appears to be more of a passing through kind of pit stop location. The hook ups were nice, and the bathrooms were extremely clean. Don't let the drive in make you nervous, the location is very safe, and conveniently located.
This is one of the most incredible national parks in the entire system. Lake McDonald is amazing. The local fishing was awesome and hard to beat. Hikers paradise and the going to the Sun Road. Logan pass is an awesome place to see. Big horn sheep abound, moose, and other wild life. In July this place was a botanic garden you could hike through for hours!
