Worst KOA ever - First one in 3 years of FT travel that I would not recommend or stay at again. Very narrow sites; picnic table literally beneath neighbors window. Plus, in our "yard" is TV hook-up, a pole, some electrical box and the sites are in sore need of some TLC. A lot of cigarette butts seen while walking dog. Yes, staff are nice, bathrooms/laundry (dated) but clean but definitely not worth the $$$
One of my favorite KOAs. A good location to explore the northern area of the PNW -- LaConner, Deception Pass, Whitbey Island, Ft. Casey etc.
Extremely clean and neat sites and all the KOA amenities. Really nice KOA cabins in a nice, woodsy setting.
WIFI is acceptable as is Verizon service.
The only negative in my opinion is that visitors are not allowed after 9:00 - there is a gate with a code number to use. Was not a problem for me but still, being a f/t rv'er, I'd like to know I can have friends/family visit whenever
Staff were very nice and helpful. Had arrived at 10:30 a.m. (checkin is 3:00) - traveling on the start of Memorial Day weekend and thought traffic would be much worse and there was supposed to be construction delays. They welcomed me and let me check-in and go to site early.
Love the woodsy setting and the place if very clean. Lots of amenities as well as family oriented activities. Cable and wifi - wifi slow/weak. Would definitely stay here again - even make it a destination.
Nice KOA with really nice/helpful staff. Very nice setting with some unique sites - deck sites, garden sites. Best TeePee sites I ever seen at a KOA.
There is no cable; free wifi can be difficult to connect and very slow if you do. Verizon signal strength is poor as well. Satellite may be difficult, if not impossible due to trees, hills. No swimming pool but a really nice waterfall and swimming hole. Despite the lack of TV, Satellite, wifi, I'd definitely stay here again.
Have stayed here many times. Very clean with great amenities. Very close to shopping, dining and the Sparks Marina for swimming, fishing, walking and biking. Can be expensive with local events (Hot August Nights, Rib Cook-off) but otherwise, decent prices.
Easy to get to and find. Gated with night gate guard. Sites/roads all paved. Sites are adequate for a tree, picnic table and a fire pit. No problems with leveling or hook-ups. Wifi seems adequate but my Verizon Hotspot is faster. Really nice puppy parks; children playground; putt-putt golf. Hot tup (open), pool (closed - boo). Cable channels but mine was "fuzzy" so just used OTA HD channels. There are a number of restaurants near by. Really the only con is the price but then I guess you are paying for a secure, gated community with all the amenities.
Easy location and easy site. Was able to pull-through, 50amp without having to unhook toad. Free wifi (did not use) limited OTA TV, satellite good. Clean place, nice pool area but otherwise, all gravel with small brick patio and picnic table. At least by other review sites, best choice in Fort Stockton
I've spent two winters here now. Best RV park in the area. People complain about the lack of shade but has not bothered me - I have an awning. People complain about the road noise - It's very easy access from the highway so yes, you can hear traffic however, there is not that much traffic and due to ease of access, not an issue. Sites are large - some huge! Staff is wonderful and responsive. There is a woman who is a full-time resident/employee who is available for dog walking, cleaning, laundry and is an absolute dream. Have only used the wifi sporadically (I have my own Verizon hotspot) and seems to be adequate for basic needs.
Laundry, workout room, showers/bathrooms are kept spotless. Four miles from Walmart as well as numerous eating establishments. Great base for Amistad for fishing, etc.
Mostly full-time. Mostly Gravel, very small spaces. My lot not too level side-to-side.
Stayed two nights to explore Death Valley. It's not really the best "jump-off" spot for Death Valley but it was all we could get on short notice.
As far as RV park - thats is..... a gravel RV park with services. At check in we were were told "the park is in a little disrepair so if anything doesn't work (elect., water, cable) at your side, go ahead and move to another.
Did not try the cable; electric worked; water pressure really bad.
Decided to eat in the "steak house" for dinner - Valantines. Ordered the valentines special - $50.00 per couple. Appetizer either shrimp cocktail or potato skins - "oh no, just one to share." Had shrimp cocktail with 5 shrimp - not 4 or 6, five. I had the filet mignon which came with baked potato and 3 asparagus. Choice of Trio Leche Cake or Raspberry cheese cake for desert - "only one, you share." Food was so so and was just made worse by the terrible service.
The worst was when leaving. In the web site photos, there is a beautiful pond behind the casino / hotel - have to walk by it to get back to the RV park - Its a duck pond. The smell was so bad, we were close to loosing our dinner! Be careful you don't step in duck poo also.
Overall, a basic place to stop and stay the night if need be.
