We stayed here for a week in April 2019 so we could visit Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. We had site R31, which was a pull in site with FHU 50 amp and cable. Our site was not huge but sufficient for a picnic table, fire ring and room between rigs. There was no Wifi but Verizon 4G was 5 bars. We were on one of the 3 rivers and the raging waters sounded wonderful! The junction of the 3 rivers is right at the edge of the campground. The owners were new and really friendly and helpful. We had problems with our stairs and they suggested a mobile RV person, who worked out great. The CG is not huge but it’s comfortable, casual, quiet, and has lots of nice sites for tents also. There is a decent grocery store and a great brewery down the street that we walked to. We would stay here again.

We stayed for a week at the end of July 2018 in site 86, which was a long pull-through (but not terribly wide) towards the back of the campground. We were escorted to out site, which wasfairly level with FHU, 50 amp. Wifi was weak since we were in the back. Verizon was good at 3-4 4G bars. It had a picnic table and fire ring. Campground had a pool, was kid and pet friendly. All of the Staff was all very nice and helpful. They have Good Sam’s discount, stay a week and get one day free. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures other than the campground map.

Paradise RV Campground – Silver Creek, WA
We stayed in this park for 2 weeks in late June/early July 2019 as a base to visit Mount St. Helens and Mount Rainier NP. This Thousand Trails campground is much like other Thousand Trails in that the sites were small and close together. We were in site 99. It was paved but quite unlevel, very short and narrow but pull through with just enough room to park our small tow car. It was FHU but only 30 amp, no Wifi or cable, Verizon was 4G 3-4 bars. We had a picnic table but not enough flat space to make it usable. The campground is hilly and sites are tiered. There isn’t too much shopping nearby. We did not use the bathrooms. The laundry had 4 washers and 4 dryers but 2 of each were out of order. The cost for each was $2.25. They have a code to get in afterhours but when we went to use it the code did not work. They had changed it on the 1st of the month but failed to tell us.

We stayed at this KOA for 10 days while visiting Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Cleveland in late September, 2018. It is a nice KOA that is lower priced than many I have looked at but also not as fancy. There is a mix of different kinds of sites. Some seemed to be seasonal and/or permanent but they were in separate sections. Our site 600 was not very level and very muddy. It had been raining a lot but in the 10 days we were there it never dried. We had full hookups, picnic table and firepit. There was a small fish and release pond that we were near and could see out our window. It was very busy with families on the weekend but quiet during the week. The park has a gated entrance, has laundry (5 washers, 2 broken, and 4 dryers), store, propane, pool (that was closed for the season) and playgrounds. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were escorted to our site. Trash and recycling bags are provided and are picked up at your site. Wifi was not too stable, cable was OK.

Ransom Road RV Park - Aransas Pass, TX
We stayed here for 5 months in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. We had canal site 16 for the first month and then moved to side 82. The park is very clean and well maintained. All the trees are palm trees. The park is fenced in except for the canal side. John the manager is very nice and was extremely accommodating to us extending our reservation month after month. Sites include full hookups, cable (excellent) and WiFi (so-so). There are 2 laundry rooms and bathrooms, all very clean. All sites have a picnic table and are angled and paved with grass between most of them. They have a variety of types of sites. They are a bit narrow. Our only problem was receiving mail and that was due to the USPS. They have PO boxes for people who stay for 6 months or more. You can receive UPS and FedEx packages there, which get locked up in the mail room but if you do not have a PO box at the campground USPS will return your mail. This park is very close to marinas, walking distance to fishing and the Aransas Pass Community Park and Aquatic Center. The sunsets are beautiful here. We are returning for a couple of months for December and January.

Page, AZ – Wahweap Marina & RV in Glen Canyon Recreation Area
We stayed here for 11 days in early May 2018. It was a beautiful campground with incredible views! We had FHU with 50 amp, picnic table, fire pit and grill. Our cement pad was very level. As suggested by someone who had stayed there we requested, and got, a double-wide site, which they had available and it worked out quite nicely. There was WiFi at the visitor center and we could use it a few times from our site as we were close but it was unreliable. Verizon cell service was very sketchy. No cable and OTA TV was non-existent for us. The price was a bit high but we reserved a site with advance purchase/no refund making the cost approximately $45/day. We were in site F-9.

We stayed here the last week of April 2018. This is a nice, tall pine wooded campground with all different size sites, all dirt. Ours was a bit narrow but the ones to either side of us were not. We didn't mind as it was plenty wide. We were in pull-through site A49, which was fairly level. We had FHU, Wi-Fi and picnic table. OTA channels were pretty good. Upon arrival the staff was very welcoming and pleasant. The campground at night is quiet except for many trains. They are not loud nor did they toot their horns but we could hear them frequently. Not a problem for us. They have laundry but we did not visit. They also have a market and sell beer. There is a lot to do in the area. We visited the Petrified Forest NP/Painted Desert, Grand Canyon NP, Meteor Crater and Winslow. AZ. We would stay here again.

We stayed here for a week in mid-October 2018 in site 17. We had FHU, 30/50 amp and a brook right behind us. The site had a very level cement pad and patio, picnic table, and bench. It was just long enough for our 35’ motorhome and our car parked sideways. Sites are very close together but well manicured. The staff cares a great deal about the business and customers. We were provided a packet of local information including the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We were escorted to our site and assisted in backing in. Cable and Wifi were very good and there is a Gatlinburg Trolley stop at the top of their driveway. It is right on a busy street and there was a lot of road noise but it quiets down at night. Police, PO, grocery, liquor are within walking distance. They have 2 pools and a hot tub that were still open in mid-October, a small fenced in pet area, bathrooms and laundry (did not check them out). Trash is picked up at your site. We paid $68 per night with Good Sam’s/AAA discount. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are very touristy. We enjoyed the different areas of Great Smoky Mountains and Blue Ridge Parkway. Check out Dragon’s Tail Route 129 for a fun drive (NOT with your RV!).

Morton, MN – Jackpot Junction Hotel Casino and RV Park
This is a newer park on the property of the casino, with FHU 20/30/50 amp, excellent cable, weak wifi, Verizon 4 bars 4G. The paved pads are very level, nice new picnic tables and fire rings. Most sites are pull-thru, grassy areas are plush and well maintained, utility pedestal is very nice. You easily walk to the casino, which has 2 restaurants. There is some traffic noise. First go into the casino and get a Club card to get a discount on your site then check in at the Casino far end at the Tours and Travel area. Rate with tax for the week, before Club Discount=$251.52, Club rate $213.25. Nice folks there. We were in the back corner in site E6, which was a little more private.

Sevier, UT - Fremont Indian State Park
This is a beautiful state park. We stayed at the Castle Rock Campground in site 14 for 2 nights in early June 2018. The site was primitive but had a lovely view of the castle rocks and privacy between sites. It was very quiet. Across the road was a source for potable water and the camp host sold firewood. There were bathrooms close by but we did not check them out. Cost was $18 per day. Verizon cell service was good. OTA digital TV found nothing.
