We were here for 5 nights in August 2020. We were in back-in site 20, which was level, shaded and plenty wide and long enough for our 35’ MH and tow car. The pads are gravel with a paved pad for picnic table. There are a lot of pull through sites that are plenty long for big rigs and not tight together. They have FHU, great cable and very decent WiFi. Verizon cell service was 4G 4 bars. The fulltime and long-term folks are over in a different section. The park is on the Wichita River, has lots of ducks and geese that like the pond there and there are lots of kitschy things around the park. They have a pool, laundry and bathhouses - all clean. I did not meet any staff as they had contactless check-in – your paperwork is taped to the office door. There is plenty of shopping all around. We took a lovely hike through Lucy Park and saw the beautiful Wichita Falls. We would go back to this very nice park.

Sevier, UT - Fremont Indian State Park
This is a beautiful state park. We stayed at the Castle Rock Campground in site 14 for 2 nights in early June 2018. The site was primitive but had a lovely view of the castle rocks and privacy between sites. It was very quiet. Across the road was a source for potable water and the camp host sold firewood. There were bathrooms close by but we did not check them out. Cost was $18 per day. Verizon cell service was good. OTA digital TV found nothing.

Paradise RV Campground – Silver Creek, WA
We stayed in this park for 2 weeks in late June/early July 2019 as a base to visit Mount St. Helens and Mount Rainier NP. This Thousand Trails campground is much like other Thousand Trails in that the sites were small and close together. We were in site 99. It was paved but quite unlevel, very short and narrow but pull through with just enough room to park our small tow car. It was FHU but only 30 amp, no Wifi or cable, Verizon was 4G 3-4 bars. We had a picnic table but not enough flat space to make it usable. The campground is hilly and sites are tiered. There isn’t too much shopping nearby. We did not use the bathrooms. The laundry had 4 washers and 4 dryers but 2 of each were out of order. The cost for each was $2.25. They have a code to get in afterhours but when we went to use it the code did not work. They had changed it on the 1st of the month but failed to tell us.

We stayed here for a week at the end of May 2019 to visit Redwood State & National Parks and other state parks. Our site #36 was quite unlevel with FHU, 50 amp and cable. Wifi was not always strong enough to utilize. Verizon $g was 2 bars. The park is small, beautiful with many flowers, has a pond with some waterside sites. Laundry and bathrooms were very clean and the staff was wonderful. There was a bit of road noise. There is a small playground.

Yosemite Lakes Resort (Thousand Trails) – Groveland, CA
We spent a week here in April 2019 to visit Yosemite National Park. It’s a typical Thousand Trails campground with tight spaces, limited amenities and a bit run down. We were in site 69, a back in site right on the river. It was one of only 20 sites that have FHU and 50 amps. It was fairly level and very narrow. Our picnic table was being used by our neighbor and the fire ring was beneath the back of our MH, which was OK because there was no level room to put a picnic table and we don’t do fires. There are lots of very tall trees along the river sites and RV sites in the meadows. The CG has yurts, cabins, tent sites, cottages and bunkhouses. We had no Verizon cell service and the only Wifi is in their clubhouse, which was a bit sketchy when it was busy. The staff is very pleasant.

Rocky Point Park (Wright-Patman Dam) COE Campground, Queen City, TX
We were in site B5 (one of 15 sites out of 124 that have FHU), for 12 days in September and October 2020. This site was not very level but we had great views of the lake out the front and side of our MH. It had a grill with table, picnic table and a fire ring. The sites are nicely sized, well-spaced apart and angled, providing nice privacy. This is our second time visiting this CG because we enjoyed it last year. It’s a fairly quiet campground – even the weekend partiers quieted down around 10ish. There is no WiFi or cable, Verizon 4G was 3-4 bars, 8 OTA channels. We did not use the bathrooms. The Park Hosts that arrived in October were very friendly. Beautiful sunsets from site B5!!

We stayed here in mid-June 2019. It’s a smaller park and the office is not computerized. They take cash/check only-Credit/Debit cards for holding reservation only. When we arrived the kind gentleman in the office could not locate our reservation and they were full. However he put us in spot in site 49 anyways. It was a mostly level gravel site under beautiful mature trees. It was FHU, 30 amp only. The campground is a bit rustic but we enjoyed that. Located on the Columbia River we enjoyed watching the ships/boats as well as walking on the beach. There is no Wifi or cable. There were plenty of OTA digital channels and our Verizon 4G was 2 bars. It is located on Sauvie Island, which has a lot of You Pick farms, commercial farms and nature parks. There is a clothing optional beach on the island. Groceries and gas were not available on the island. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. We would go back.

We stayed at this park for a week in late June 2019. It is across the street from their beach on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Our site #2 was a back in which gave us a nice view of the water from our front window, especially the sunsets. We had FHU 50 amp and because we were close to the office we had decent Wifi. The sewer was strange because it was a sideways opening below grade, not a screw in type (see pic). We had to secure it together by putting a large rock in the hole. It was quite far back and required us to use 2 sewer hoses. Our power and water were on a shared tower. The site was grass, not level and had a very small cement pad for a patio with a picnic table. Verizon was 3G 1 bar and we got a message that said “Welcome to Canada”. The folks in the office were super nice. The sounds of the waves were delightful. We walked along the beach but it was full of seaweed that was covered with bugs. It was very quiet here!

We stayed here for 5 nights in late March 2018. We were in Wagon Circle site 14. This was the overflow area and it was in a dirt parking lot surrounding the comfort station. The other sites looked pretty nice. Our site was level. We had a choice to back in or drive in but based on the services arrangement we backed in. We had 50 amp and water. Dump station was nearby. Bathroom was old, not too nice. Nice hiking trails. Went over to Abilene Lake (needed a pass code from the office to get in) and walked the trails there as well. We used our $70 Texas Park Pass to avoid the daily use fees of $5/day/person.
