Love this place. Right on the lake and just beautiful!! Great facilities with a lot of events during the summer. Owners are the nicest people!

Beautiful park, deer everywhere, very shaded. We were in site 89 and it was level and long with a paved patio as well. You can rent kayaks etc from another park resident. Everyone was friendly. Pool was clean, laundry room was clean. Easy access to everything. Loved that there was an access gate as well. They offer activities on the weekend, example they were offering an yoga and mimosas class and a sit and sip paint/craft activity as well as utv tours of the ranch. Will definitely return!
Pet friendly too, camped with our 3 olde English bulldogs.

Lake Medina RV Resort – Lakehills, TX
We stayed in site 89 for a few days in early August 2020. The drive to the park has a couple of rather steep hills that are on the small roads leading in. The folks in the office were friendly and very safe pandemicly (I made that up). The park is surrounded by Lake Medina with many trees. There was lots of activity in the water and many deer in the park. Our site 89 was FHU, 20/30/50 amp, basic cable, free WiFi (fair), gravel pad, huge, long and we loved being under all the trees! We had a brick patio and picnic table. We did not use the bathrooms or laundry facilities. There are some hiking trails but we did not walk them. Unfortunately we had to leave early to get the brakes on our motorhome fixed. We would stay here again.

Lake? What lake? I called to ask for a site with lake access for kayaking and shore fishing with the grandkids. I was told that the lake was low, but I was NOT told that the lake was 95% GONE. I was also not told that my guests would have to pay $6 each. We decided to visit with them elsewhere.
Launching the kayaks meant a struggle through mud that was 2 feet deep at times for long distances until there was enough water to float a kayak. We spent an hour cleaning boats and gear and still have mud stains to clean. Plus, the stagnant water had a bad stench even in March.
The park was OK if you ignore some of the junky buildings and permanent RVs. views would be nice if there was water in the lake. The staff was very nice which was the only plus. Fees should be half considering the lake issue.

Park was great and was able to work here with ease. both sprint/T-Mobile and att worked great. only down side there aren't really any grocery stores near here and we had to drive a ways in order to get some real variety that the hill country's store didn't have.

We've been to Lake Medina RV resort a couple of times since it' a short drive from home. It's a great place to just get out of the city for a few nights. Living in Texas, we knew the lake level was low but just something you need to check before booking if fishing/boating is a priority for you. We were still able to hike a bit and find a good spot to fish. The only issue we've had are the locals running their ATV's and making ridiculous noise on the walking path across from the park during the day or early evening. Otherwise a great park and very friendly staff.

Great spot to spend a month this winter. Friendly staff. The spaces are laid out among the tree and not right next to another. Lots of open space. Planned activities summer and winter. Lots of open space and open trails to hike on as this is also a working cattle ranch. All spaces fhu including 50 amp.

We stayed in site R38 which was tree covered, long and level. The only issue was it is very narrow. We paid the extra $3.00 to have 5o amps. The deer are wonderful and walk by everyday. The staff was very friendly. The buildings and restrooms are a little run down but usable. The pool and hottub were nice, although the bubbles didn't work on the hottub. While the lake is dry, it sure makes for some nice sunset viewing. The surrounding hills are beautiful. We used the location to explore San Antonio hitting the river walk and the Puffy Tacos (don't know about them? Put them on you list). Bandera is 30 minutes away and is a cute town known as the Cowboy Capital of the World. It has some nice places to eat and shop its well worth a stop. We also visited Fredricksburg which has great restaurants and shopping and is surrounded a lot of great wineries. Many of the shops in Fredricksburg offer free beer while your shopping. Overall we had a great stay and would definately return.

This is a great campground for trips where. you want peace amid natural settings. The campground is lovely with lots of trees. In fact, we understand that they didn't cut any when putting in the RV park which explains the sites being farther apart than most and a bit quirky in the placements. There is also a strange second campground on the opposite side of the road which includes long-termers, one who really likes Christmas and still had it all lit up in March. The staff is great and the resort has a pool and huge clubhouse where they encourage folks to set up their crafts. They also host several events a month for campers including a great burger cookout for the Super Bowl while we were here. My only issue is the location. We didn't mind being that far out from San Antonio or the HIll Country as it looked like we would be on a lake. Well, the lake is completely dry. Like not one drop. I am not sure if there are plans to fill it when rain comes as there seems to be a drought there now. So, we were a strong hour from San Antonio and 40 minutes from Fredericksburg. It takes 15 minutes just to get to highway from the winding road leading to the campground. So, check on the lake if that is key for your visit and just know that the nearest large grocery is a strong 38 minutes away. But if you want quiet and a friendly campground, this might be a great fit. Rate is based on a weekly rate.
